BEFORE: There were several French women ready to accept the Bastille Day Main Event exposure but once Naomie Harris made a successful BBU comeback versus Jaime Murray a little over two months ago, Berenice Marlohe suddenly emerged as top favorite for the job. This of course refers to the James Bond franchise movie 'Skyfall" where both of them shared significant screen time alongside Daniel Craig.

It's fairly unusual to see two fighters refrain from any bickering, social media feuding and even locker room catfights leading up to such a high-profile contest but both Naomie and Berenice have enjoyed a great deal of respect ever since the 'Skyfall" experience and they keep it up right until the introductions which helps to make the Bastille Day PPV a real winner for the fans on both sides of the Channel. Of course BBU TV's Georgie Thompson would like to see the tempers flare between the two veterans however Suzi Perry reminds her that regardless of the result the post-event VIP party is a guaranteed success even if Berenice succumbs to her English rival.

Current BBU lightweight champion Malika Menard, Laury Thilleman, Sophie Marceau and Elodie Frege are all in the audience as Ariane Brodier carries out the introductions. Berenice keeps the smile on her face right until touching gloves with Naomie who in turn looks a little nervous and glances over her shoulder too many times to maintain the strictly business approach. It's never easy to fight away from home and the entire Parc des Princes would like to see Marlohe win to make up for the recent Euro 2016 stumble on the very last hurdle.

Naomie Harris wears a red basque top, black knickers and black gloves. Long black hair straight. Berenice Marlohe wears a navy blue bikini top, white knickers and red gloves. Long dark brown hair in loose waves. The fight is scheduled for ten rounds in the lightweight division.

Round 1:
Naomie's heavy-hitting style tore Jaime Murray apart but Berenice has no intentions of playing it safe and launches immediate jabbing flurry to stack the Londoner in the center of the ring and dominate the opening minute. The local favorite aims at her opponent's head and scores well with some crisp shots that expose Harris' high guard somewhat easily however a proper response stalls the French assault and Naomie lands a big punch to the temple followed by a shot to the boobs that wobbles the younger actress into a lenghty clinch. The crowd urges Marlohe to resume her feisty antics but Naomie shoves her back to the ropes and almost nails with another piercing hook on the temple. She wobbles too far forward with that plan though and eats a hooking cross herself which hands Berenice another solid opportunity to close out the round on a high note. Naomie scowls in pain at the bell and checks her jaw after one last punch right at the death caught her clean on target.

Round 2:
More fireworks in the ring but this time Harris is quicker to the initial punch and smacks the brunette up the middle causing havoc in the cleavage department. Berenice's mounds enjoy a quick drubbing from close range before the local heroine fights herself out of trouble with another accurate hook on the temple but Harris refuses to buckle and leans on the front leg which leads to an accidental head-butt. Both girls are separated by the ref but they're good to go and Berenice catches the Londoner with a piledriver bomb on the nose that bends her sideways with a loud scream and enables the local woman to flick immediate jabbing follow up. Naomie struggles to embrace the heat and looks for a clinching respite however Marlohe bumps her into the turnbuckle and cleans out the breadbasket to run away with the final minute of action.

Round 3:
Sophie Marceau, Malika Menard & co. really enjoy the Main Event in the stands and there are more signs of frustration on Naomie's face early in the third as she gets beaten for a looping hook on the temple and staggers in the center of the ring with the local favorite pressing along with more jabbing fury. Marlohe barks with each shot landing between the older woman's gloves and Harris struggles to tame the close range heat so checks out in frantic escape but almost loses her footing and gets nuked with a left cross on the nose before a sizzling right uppercut catches her on the jaw and SENDS DOWN ON HER KNEES moments later... Ugh! Georgie Thompson almost chokes in disbelief in the booth and Miss Moneypenny looks as stunned as anyone out there in the ring but Sophie Marceau is on her feet and leads the applause as Marlohe adjust her hair while soaking up the count. Harris is back upright at eight and now she's no longer smiling at her 'Skyfall' co-star anymore. But the French girl easily blocks her off for remainder of the round and loops more menacing hooks around the temples that keep the British actress hot on her toes.

Round 4:
Suzi Perry thinks that the judges will give all the three rounds to Berenice who's improved her footwork a lot but Naomie does have that mean punch about her and shouldn't be ruled out of contention based on that knockdown yet. It's Marlohe's job to clean out shop now and she goes all-in on the English actress early in the fourth but Naomie's escape plan wears the cavalry down and prevents more French success. Berenice finally realizes that she's not making much noise in mid range and needs to keep it cool as Harris really struggles to make an impact thus far and isn't winning the fight through obvious defensive mindset. She tries to tease her into some kind of attack but Naomie barks it aside and only circles around her with a stone cold look on her face which contrasts a rampant reaction from the Parc des Princes audience. Suzi Perry claims that Marlohe gives the Londoner too much time to recover but whether the older woman has a Plan "B'" up her sleeve is yet to be determined. Bell.

Round 5:
Naomie takes a series of deep breaths and STORMS into a comeback attempt that quickly wipes the cheeky smile off Berenice's face. The opening minute is loaded with a flurry of English punches and Marlohe has trouble to avoid them. Her high guard gets picked off in close range and a couple of heavy whacks on the nose wobble her on the heels. She tries to mount a response from the back foot but meets Harris' forearms and eats a punch on the top of her head that makes her trip over her own feet. Down goes Marlohe but ref calls it purely accidental and refuses to start the count. Naomie is so pumped she doesn't question the decision but Suzi & Georgie also think that wasn't a clean punch and the lanky Frenchwoman simply couldn't get her feet around it and went down all by herself. More mayhem in the French resistance follows though as Harris rips a quick slant on the mouth and shatters Marlohe's guard one more time before pounding the fellow actress back to the ropes with a monster jabbing drive on the boobs that catch the local heroine by surprise. Naomie rallies back into her best round of the night and somehow that sluggish fourth round may yet come back to haunt the locals and Berenice is the first one to admit it as she pounds the ropes in frustration after the bell with Harris looking pretty feisty out there despite all the problems early on.

Round 6:
War of attrition from the opening bell sparks outrage in the audience as Naomie hands her frenemy swollen lips in a frantic battle for supremacy. Marlohe's improved footwork has gone AWOL and now she's getting bumped around under the English aerial attack with her own efforts only grazing the forearms and making on progress despite a mighty effort. Berenice might require a breather here to gather her thoughts and adjust her plans but she can't fend off the swarming veteran and Harris gets all vocal as she pierces more solid jabs into those swollen French lips. Marlohe begins to scowl in pain and seek a quick way out but gets blasted across the ribcage numerous times and wobbles into a brutal left uppercut on the jaw that makes her scream her heart out and send the Parc des Princes crowd into panic mode... LEFT HOOK ON THE TEMPLE SPINS THE FRENCH GIRL to the side with eyes closed and she doesn't even notice a right hand that spills blood from her nose moments later... DOWN SHE GOES!!! Ugh! That's the best combo of the night topping the undercards heroics from Jennifer Lamiraqui & Amy Willerton but it's a complete disaster for the locals as Marlohe hits the deck HARD and needs extra help from the ref to beat the slowest count in the universe at nine... Cue in a medical break for the busted up nose! Naomie shakes her head but notices the thumbs up from Georgie Thompson upstairs and responds with a cheeky smile on her own. Berence is all jelly legs inside the final thirty seconds and gets BATTERED into a standstill in the corner unable to throw a single punch anymore but she avoids going down and the ref won't stop the beatdown even though she's on life support here. The crowd is almost dead silent at the bell and begs for mercy with Sophie Marceau heading for the exit door... Oh, my!!! Not in my backyard?

Round 7:
Berenice's recovery period is non-existent and she battles spasms just to resume the ineviteable British juggernaut... THIS IS NOT PRETTY as Naomie homes in with a classic left/right deke and a HUGE thunder strike up the middle that shatters the high guard and almost shoves Marlohe's nose inside her brains... Dummy mode enters the stage and the sobbing Frenchwoman spits out her gumshield while sinking on the ropes... it's only Naomie's fair attitude that prevents her from handing her "Skyfall" colleague a knockout for the ages... ref craddles the battered French beauty to safety and it's obvious  she's unable to continue the fight anytime soon... TKO7 Naomie Harris is ruthless come-from-behind fashion!!!

AFTER: That's a double shock for the Paris audience who have just witnessed Berenice Marlohe rendered into a complete pulp... one can argue the stoppage but it's a heavy beatdown demise for the the brunette and even Elodie Frege and Laury Thilleman realize that their compatriot just couldn't recover from that terrible sixth round during the interval... Suzi Perry and Georgie Thompson are split whether this result tells more about Berenice's hapless defence or Naomie's extreme punching power but they agree that the French actress wasted a golden chance to put her English foe away in the fourth and never got another chance to make up for her tactical mistake.

However Naomie Harris still earns the crowd's ovation after offering a helping hand to the fallen brunette; she lifts her from the canvas and calls for the medical crew, you don't see so much sympathy from someone who's just punched the other woman into a swollen mess but the Bond girls should stick together after all and Miss Moneypenny is the benchmark for everything that represents the English honor...

...OK, we're not in the EON studios anymore so let's get the wine ready, shall we? And yes, even Sophie Marceau is back on stage to outshine Malika Menard and award Harris a special bonus prize for taking the "Skyfall Reloaded" into another level. Ariane Brodier gets punted out of the way and the post-fight celebrations unite all the protagonists with Marceau leading the glamour brigade. Amy Willerton and Laury Thilleman are seen chatting together with new French prospect Marine Lorphelin and only Georgie Thompson feels a little awkward as she expected a full-blown slapping brawl due to the English visitors sweeping the French fort on a Bastille Day weekend no less. This is one of those nights she wishes Samia Ghadie & Cheryl Cole were back in town...
