Cassidy Freeman (Lioness Club of America) vs Gemma Atkinson (Beever's Babes)

Gemma has a busy and impressive recent record, but Cassidy is a good boxer, and a former welterweight champion, and may just have too much for the big Brit tonight.
 
Gemma’s the more impressive as the girls stand together in the ring, in an orange bikini with matching gloves and boots, while Cassidy has opted for a similar outfit in green
 
Round 1
 
The girls are stalking each other in the opening round, not looking for a war just now, and Cassidy looks in fine form as the round progresses, tapping Gemma with neat jabs, never really looking in danger of taking much in return as she sidesteps around the big Brit, who looks slow by comparison, tries a big hook, which misses, and looks poor as Cassidy uses all her experience to eke out a close round purely on her skills.
 
Round 2
 
Cassidy still has the upper hand in this fight as she whups some more jabs into Gemma’s face, the Manchester blonde doing her best to come forward, but she’s still fielding punches with her face, although she hits and hurts Cassidy with a couple of ribshots, and she shows that there’s more to fighting than face punching, making Cassidy move backwards now, following up, cracking another hard shot into her body, and this is a better performance from Gemma now.
 
Round 3
 
Gemma’s come off her stool full of confidence now, but Cassidy’s drawing that confidence from her as she gives the blonde the runaround, really handing out a boxing lesson as she increases the tempo, and Big Gemma looks more like she did a couple of years back, just unable to keep it going against the former champion, who has her trapped up against the ropes, Gemma trying to resist, but the jabs, crosses and hooks are zoning in on her face, the Brit stumbling after a really hard hook, and she looks very worn as she goes to her corner, blood dribbling from her nose and a small cut in her left eyebrow.
 
Round 4
 
Cassidy looks like she could end this fight nice and quick now, and she hands out more punishment early in the round – but this time Gemma’s getting in some retaliation, and she’s turned and hit Cassidy, the brunette holding, clinching, taking a breather as the blonde leans on her, and for the final thirty seconds or so, it’s Cassidy in charge again, Gemma back on the ropes, getting hit.
 
Round 5
 
Cassidy is on Gemma quickly, and she’s doing her best to work on that cut eye, but the Brit’s giving her some punishment to her body in response, and that’s likely to slow her down, but not just yet, because she’s giving Gemma some more jabs to the face, Gemma standing and fighting back, hitting and hurting Cassidy to the body, and she hits her with a solid right hook to the jaw, her best shot so far, in the closing seconds to pinch the round.
 
Round 6
 
Gemma’s looking better and quicker as the fight goes past the scheduled halfway point, and she’s slamming Cassidy’s body with big hits, making the brunette back off, but she can’t bring that solid guard down, Cassidy clinching as much as she can, trying to make Gemma lose patience, but that’s not happening as she clubs away at the former champion’s body, and it looks like she’s hurting her with some of those shots, although Cassidy lands a sweet uppercut to set Gemma back, giving herself time to recover, even though Gemma swats her in a late flurry of a big British round.
 
Round 7
 
Gemma’s settling into a nice rhythm now, and she’s got her left glove thudding into Cassidy’s ribs as she waits for the older girl to drop her guard – but it’s not happening, because the brunette’s capable of fighting in defence as well as attack, clipping the big blonde across the jaw, and that’s got her attention, Gemma now covering up as Cassidy wades in, thumping her with left and right hooks to the side of her head, Gemma’s face bleeding again, and Cassidy stands her up with an uppercut in a neutral corner as a parting shot at the bell.
 
Round 8
 
The girls look tired now, but they exchange some heavy shots in the middle of the ring, and now Cassidy’s bleeding as well, a nasty cut there in the corner of her left eye, which Gemma finds with a right hook, then follows in with another, and Cassidy looks in trouble at this stage, blood smearing over her face – she’s backed into the ropes, and Gemma’s giving it to her again, really ripping into her body, her flesh red from the punishment she’s taken to her ribs, and she looks unsteady for the first time as big Gemma hits her and hurts her some more, a big left and right combination almost flooring the former champion.
 
Round 9
 
Cassidy looks unsteady even after the break, and Gemma hits her again, right on that cut eye, Cassidy wheeling away from her, but Gemma’s following up, swats her with a clubbing right hook, and puts Cassidy on her back!  She gets up at 7, but she doesn’t look great, and Gemma smacks her backwards, the former champion backed into the ropes, gets hurt again, and the referee’s in there – it’s all over!
 
Result:  Gemma Atkinson stopped Cassidy Freeman in round 9.
 

Gemma’s skipping around the ring after arguably her best win, and now she must surely be on the list for another title shot!  She certainly wants one, and she’s in Cassidy’s corner, comforting the girl she’s just finished thumping, the girls hugging after a good fight.
