Lindsay Lohan vs Yoko Matsugane

Lohan arriving a week early, putting in some time for “pre-release publicity” on her next project (“The Shadow Within” the story of a private investigator who must unravel the murder of her uncle while keeping the secret that she'd descended from a line of werewolves.) “It sounds crazy,” Lohan admitted during her presser, “but werewolves are like, totally freakin' hot right now. I couldn't pass up this opportunity to reconnect with my fan base.”

Li-Lo's also using this trip to hype her last film “Til Human Voices Wake” where she played Lana, a marine biologist who longs to escape her ordinary life with the sea creatures she loves. Lindsay recognizes her film career is on a precarious path right now, so she's going all out to win back fans she has lost thru her 'bad years'.

A famous busty beauty, Yoko Matsugane released several DVD's but she's more famous for her “gravure” (aka hot, semi-nude) photo spreads. Yoko's appeared on several TV shows in Japan but in January 2006, she left her modeling agency to strike out on her own. She's actively producing DVD's and photo sets for other models while working as DJ at various venues throughout Japan and she remains a popular model to her still young-ish fans while her popularity as a DJ has exposed her to a new generation of Asian men who lust after her nubile figure and girls who want to be just like her.

Introductions:
Yoko - introduced first - is awaiting Lohan in the ring beside Front Street Japan's Head Trainer, Kei Mizutani. Yoko's wearing a white bikini with red stripes, black gloves and shoes and has her dark brown hair pulled back and secured in a tight bun to keep it out of her eyes - a problem in the past, now fixed.

When Lindsay's introduced, she comes gliding down to the ring wearing a flowing red kimono with a green and brown pine tree design. She's also wearing a NOH 'ko-omote' mask - the face of a beautiful young woman - and the audience wildly applauds the appropriately traditional attire; Lindsay's homage to the host country's long and proud entertainment tradition.

The girls playfully chest bump during the instructions, teasing JMD fans with promises neither intends to fulfill as this contest is strictly “straight boxing” (but why not give the lads a cheap thrill, eh?)

During R1: Surprise! Lohan, still basking in the crowd's adulation, slow off the mark at the bell and Matsugane takes advantage! Yoko with an opening flurry of big right hands, rocks the Yank redhead back on her heels, then tears into that plush, freckled, torso with both hands! Lohan crouching low behind raised gloves and forearms, elbows tucked in protecting her tummy - giving up the flanks! Yoko grinning as she wails away, showing her nimble, quick-footed, attack by buffeting Li-Lo from one foot to the other as she's driven - butt-stuffed in the ropes - down one side of the ring and then the next! It's a bell-to-bell beating for the befreckled redhead who takes a walloping in a 10-8 round for Matsugane - without a knockdown - as Yoko welcomes the big name American movie star to her little corner of the Tokyo Dome in grand style! Matsugane wins (wide) as Li-Lo looks jet lagged...or something.

R2: Comeback Kid! Lohan gathering her wits between rounds, gets the jump on Matsugane who looks not only shocked at her unexpected success in the first, but also a little arm weary. Yoko hasn't had many fights (4) and - at age 34 - skeptics aren't shy questioning her fitness being what it should. She's doing nothing to silence the critics this round, as after a slow start, she can't seem to get back to her quick striking, agile, movement of the first. Lohan piling on as the round goes on, bodying up to the slender Asian and driving hard lefts and rights into that slim mid-section as she power punches Yoko back onto the ropes where Li-Lo sets up, chest-on-chest, and bludgeons her mercilessly. At the bell, Lohan all bouncy and up-beat, spinning away with arms raised overhead...leaving Yoko slumped panting sitting on the middle strand of the ropes, her expression bleak. Lohan takes the round (wide) to even matters.

R3: Back & forth! Lohan out to resume her dominance, runs into a sneaky little right hand from Yoko that stops her in her tracks. They circle warily, pawing with jabs and alternating straight rights or launching long, looping, overhand rights that glance harmlessly off heads or shoulders. Neither landing a telling blow until late in the round when Matsugane traps Li-Lo in her corner and does the old rat-a-tat-tat on her taa-taa's, then finishes with several sound left hooks that land square on the (belly) button! Lohan battling her way off the ropes and out of Yoko's corner late, driving the brunette back across the ring with a series of criss-cross left-right combinations that have Yoko's legs wobbling. Just when it seems Matsugane's ready to go, she grabs Lohan in a clinch and they waltz around, Yoko clinging on for dear life as the referee tries in vain to separate them. Once they are parted, Yoko staggers Li-Lo with a short, inside, uppercut that didn't look all that hard but obviously hurt the redhead. At the bell, both women breathing hard, but it's Yoko who pockets the points in a closely-fought and entertaining round.

R4: Matsugane picks up right where she left off, stunning Lohan with a left hook, right uppercut combo from the jump! Lohan, teary-eyed, forced to clinch as Yoko helps herself to Lindsay's smooth tummy while Lohan's hands are occupied holding Yoko's neck. Referee busy this round as both fighters seem to want to work in close and there's lots of clinching. Midway, Lohan gets it going again and manages to get some separation, letting her bring her jab back into the fight. Things easier for Li-Lo when she can fight at distance, pot-shotting Yoko; dropping her right over Matsugane's left shoulder when she extends on the jab. Late, Lohan chopping Yoko up pretty good with the right as the Japanese model doesn't seem to have an answer for it except to clinch up high... giving Lohan her body. Closing seconds it's Lohan putting her weight on Matsugane along the ropes as she piston-punches her middle while Yoko just rests her cheek on Li-Lo's shoulder and stoically absorbs her punishment until the referee breaks it up. Lohan wins the round (wide) making up for Yoko's fast start.

R5: Freckle-faced redhead on a roll now, gets back on top of Matsugane immediately and rocks her with another right hand to the side of her head. Yoko shaken, forced to clinch and Li-Lo gives her body a workout as she comes up the middle with a series of belly-busters! Matsugane fading fast, exposes her chin and Lohan makes her pay.....with an uppercut that shortcircuits Yoko's legs and drops the buxom Japanese beauty to all fours. Lohan spins away with a big smile on her full lips and goes to a neutral corner where she poses, back arched, chest thrust out as she runs her right glove over her auburn tresses while papparazzi at ringside shoot dozens of photos.
Lindsay's still playing to the cameras as Yoko bravely hauls herself to her feet using the ropes, swaying back against the strands and sitting on the middle rope as the referee gives her an eight count. He keeps one eye on Lindsay - who ignores Yoko and the ref as she continue to flirt with the 'paps'.
Once the referee determines Yoko is fit to fight, Lindsay bounces back across the ring and rips into the semi-defenseless busty brunette with both fists. Clearly out-matched, Matsugane tries gamely to fight back, but it's all in vain and after a cracking left hook puts Yoko on her back, the referee jumps in to wave it off without bothering to count! Li-Lo's second knockdown of the round gives her the win via a TKO5!

After: Lohan rushes over to the ropes above the papparazzi where she again strikes a series of poses emphasizing her bosom and her bottom, then kissing each of her gloves in turn. Only after Lohan's shamelessly gotten as much free publicity as she can does she go over to the Front Street, Japan corner where she pulls the still dazed Yoko to her feet by the hands and leads her out to center ring.
Lindsay raises Yoko's hand in the air, then turns and gives her a ceremonial bow of respect... which Yoko returns. Both girls hug and Lindsay gives Yoko's bottom a playful slap as she sends her back to her corner after the formal announcement of the result.

Later, in the press room, Lohan praised Yoko and, apparently sincerely, said, “It's a shame Yoko began boxing so late in life. I can only imagine how good she might be if she'd began as a teen, or even in her early twenties, instead of thirty. She's clearly got the moves down, and she can hit a bit....but there's no substitute for experience. I mean, even if she'd been fighting 4-5 times a year instead of once, she'd be up around twenty fights by now and her development would be much further along. Still, I know she's been doing more wrestling and JMD than 'real boxing'....maybe that's where her future is. She's a 'young 34' so I can see she's still got some development possibility. I'll follow her career with interest, now that I've gotten to know her.”

Yoko smiled demurely as she answered questions from the Japanese press... more were about her modeling future than her boxing career. But when an English language reporter asked about Lohan, Yoko answered thru her interpreter, “She very good; hit hard; much more good than the girls I fight before. Also, she a lot of fun when we talk in days before fight. I like her very, very, much. Maybe I can get her come back soon...we pose together for one of my books, yes?”
