BEFORE: A classic cougar fight fills in the Bramall Lane undercard but tempers boil over quickly between Lucy Pargeter and Suzi Perry. The Emmerdale actress vows to beat the TV reporter up to finally break the essentially endless run of defeats which stretches back to November 2012 however the older brunette looks forward to her second BBU outing and promises to erase Pargeter from the record books once and for all:

"She's ancient history, that little tramp! I thought she retired with all these defeats lately but she's got some guts if she thinks I'm an easy target. I will f### her up so bad, she's gonna need to facial reconstruction! Your days are numbered here, bytch!"

Even Kate Abdo looks a little bemused upon hearing those comments from Suzi and well, most of the Sheffield crowd doesn't know what to think of them either. Lucy is a well-known hittable journeywoman at this stage of her career and Perry didn't exactly steal the headlines on her April debut where she succumbed to the much lighter albeit vasty experienced Denise van Outen.

Lucy Pargeter wears a black basque top with red trim, black hotpants and red gloves. Long black hair tied in a braid. Suzi Perry wears a navy blue basque top, white hotpants and red gloves. Dark brown hair tied in a bun at the back of her head with bangs. The fight is scheduled for ten rounds in the welterweight division.

Round 1:
Suzi wastes little time in making her efforts count; she stacks a slow moving Lucy in the middle of the ring with a jabbing drive to the body before switching upstairs and thumping the actress on the cheeks. Pargeter struggles to embrace the early charge from her opponent and spends the second minute behind a tight earmuff however she avoids getting pounded back to the ropes. Suzi keeps the pressure on thereafter and blocks off a weak jabbing attempt from Lucy before blasting another hook on the brow ridge that visibly sinks the younger brunette on soft knees. That's a bad sign for Pargeter's chances to win this fight but Kate Abdo points out how miserable the 39 year old's defense was and nobody should be surprised with her issues - even against a woman seven years her senior.

Round 2:
Perry maintains the aggressive stance but lacks production in the opening minute and soaks up a quick jabbing rush from Pargeter who finally shows a mean edge here and dumps the TV reporter on her heels after landing several clean punches on the rack. Suzi's defense remains an unknown aside from her brief van Outen cameo that raised several questions marks over her decision to become a full-time BBU fighter. A clinching stalemate slows the tempo down in the second minute and the ref allows these two cougars to push & shove each other back into the neutral corner rather that call for some outright boxing display. Early jeers and whsitles from the audience at the bell but neither of the two seem to care about it.

Round 3:
Suzi keeps missing in close range and allows the actress to mount a solid response from the back foot which leaves Kate Abdo pondering her early predictons. Pargeter is given plenty of working space from the inside and she targets Perry's jugs repeatedly before blasting a left cross on the eye that half-spins the older brunette to the side with a loud gasp. Lucy jumps into a jabbing frenzy thereafter and Suzi fails to raise her gloves in time so she endures a tough leather test that cuts her under the left eye as Pargeter keeps pressing ahead and shoves the struggling reporter back towards the turnbuckle. Another clinching efforts briefly allows Perry to halt the attack but Lucy headbutts her with on the nose after leaning forward too much and blasts her on the solar plexus before the ref can take action over the illegal blow. Well, the ref apparently didn't even see it since he urges the women to box and Lucy paused after Suzi cried out in pain. LEFT HOOK BLASTS PERRY ON THE NOSE moments later and sags her on the cornerpost for good thereafter and the Bramall Lane cheers in joy when an aching Suzi bellows out behind a high earmuff and Lucy dissects her defense repeatedly in the closing seconds.

Round 4:
Kate Abdo needs to look at the replay of that Pargeter headbutt before siding with the referee on this one. It looked accidental after all but that's a small consolation for Suzi who fails to repeat her opening round dominance and soaks up more strikes from the Emmerdale actress. Lucy's decision to step back into the ring doesn't look so foolish anymore as she powers ahead against the older brunette's body and is only stopped when Suzi clinches her in the center of the ring and blasts her on the kidneys fuelling an angry rant response from the victim. Referee tries to calm things down but both women rip into each other with a right-on-right assault, this time Suzi times it much better than before and reaches the plate first - or reaches Lucy's nose first... BIG PUNCH HURTS THE ACTRESS and spins her to the side with a loud yelp but Perry is already there thumping her rival's midsection and shutting her off along the ropes in the final minute. Another clinch sees out the clock but this fight is really going back & forth now with Suzi finding the competitive edge again much to Pargeter's annoyance at the bell.

Round 5:
A throwback to the opening round has Perry rattling Pargeter's defense in the initial approach before a quick hook on the mouth wobbles the actress into a nasty follow up on the chin. Lucy's knees buckle and her arms drop by her breasts which allows the older woman to crash a left/right combo on the nose and whip Pargeter backwards. She desperately tries to regain her balance but only one more punch is enough to send her down... SUZI SCYTHES HER DOWN with another hooking effort as she finds the chin.. Lucy hits the deck on her backside and stares at the older woman with utmost disdain... she quickly gets up at six but is soon buried under a flying attack that chops her high guard down again and has Perry blasting hooks all over town leaving Lucy to backpedal butt-in-ropes in a hurry... AND SUZI NAILS HER ON THE SOLAR PLEXUS with another cruel blow that slumps Pargeter with a loud groan.... another hook finds the nose and drops the head to the side but the belting strike on the liver is the one that does the most damage... LUCY SLIDES DOWN ON HER KNEES and this time she's in serious trouble. She drops to all fours and tries to find her breath back but the pain is just too big here for one of the worst defenders in the welter game. Lucy just can't shake it off and is counted out while still on all fours! KO5 Suzi Perry!!!

AFTER: Many other girls would have probably beaten that last punch and lived to fight another round or two but Lucy just doesn't have what it takes to fend off the adversity anymore. Well, Kate Abdo wonder if she ever had it in first place! Suzi looks relieved rather than happy after knocking the Emmerdale actress out and admits in interview that her pre-fight outburst was nothing but a mere mind game aimed at Lucy's mediocre confidence. It worked well in the opening three minutes but the following couple of rounds showed plenty of flaws in Perry's fighting attire. In the end she was probably lucky she managed to close out this see-saw contest. The headbutt remains an afterthought for the Bramall Lane audience who awaits the arrival of home town sweetheart Charlie Webster next and Lucy is ommitted from the post-fight press conference as she's summoned to her Fight Club UK boss Katie Price down in Brighton head-quarters instead.

Final result: Suzi Perry def. Lucy Pargeter KO5.
