BBU MONDAY NIGHT BOXING FROM NEC, BIRMINGHAM

BEFORE: Helen George knocked the stuffing out of Martine McCutcheon on her BBU debut last month and now she vows to do the same with Jaime Murray. Her cause is helped by the support of local Birmingham crowd as the fight between the two indie girls is held in the National Exhibition Centre in West Midlands' largest city.

Meanwhile the Hammersmith brunette wants to return to winning ways after she fell to Naomie Harris back in May. She posted three wins in five fights to date which is admireable but all of them were against women born in the 70s while Helen is the youngest opponent she has to face in her otherwise short BBU career.

Helen George wears a neon pink basque top, matching knickers and white gloves. Blonde hair with bangs tied in a long braid. Jaime Murray wears a navy blue basque top, white knickers and black gloves. Long black hair tied in a sleek ponytail. The fight is scheduled for ten rounds in the bantamweight division.

Round 1:
Jaime knows she can waste no time against such a fresh opponent like Helen and rips into the blonde cleavage to set up a proper jabbing series aimed at the midriff thereafter. She leans forward on the blonde and almost headbutts her in the proccess but backs off for a moment and tries to pick her off with a measured hook however a scything cross from the back foot nails her on the mouth instead and enables George to thrive on the response drive. The blonde hammers heavy shots in close range and head hunts the brunette for a while which requires some quick footwork from Murray however Helen is all over her foe like a cheap suit and pummels her back to the ropes come the final minute. There she traps Jaime for good with a solid aerial attack but draw ire from the ref when she signs off the action with a belting hook below the waist that makes Murray cringe in shock!

Round 2:
Helen jumps the gun on her opponent and ignores the referee's command to wait until the brunette nods back to him and we have a battle royale on our hands which reminds Jaime's hard-fought title against Gemma Bissix last year. It's obvious that Helen shows her opponent no respect whatsoever as she clubs her over the top and leaves a couple of early lumps on Jaime's face which only fuel the NEC arena support. Helen even barks as she keeps landing crisp shots up the middle and Murray just can't live with the pace of the onslaught, she nearly trips over her own feet in a hectic retreat but gets stacked up along the ropes regardless and can only yelp in pain as Helen dissects her high guard and snaps the head back repeatedly. However the blonde actress just can't help herself and lands another low blow in the crotch area after the bell and now the ref is lecturing her before he allows her to walk back to her corner. Jaime shakes her head in disgust but she's lucky that low punch skidded off her thigh.

Round 3:
George is much faster on her feet - the age difference probably tells it's own story here - and she drops another scything bomb on the cumbersome brunette as she rallies from close range to open up holes upstairs and pummel the Londoner back to the ropes well inside the minute mark. Murray tries to make something happen from behind the guard but only bounces off the forearms and the angry blonde barking gets a little annoying here as Helen just doesn't want to take her foot off the gas and engages in a flurry of shots aimed at the head which are largely fruitless down the stretch. Jaime bides her time in a desperate clinch in the final minute and while George shoves her away, she struggles to gain the separation and looks mad as a hatter at the bell so she just swings one right past the brunette's ear to draw more angry words from the referee.

Round 4:
Jaime pumps herself up for the next round and shadow boxes early in her corner but she fails to tame the blonde's above par footwork and eats a clubbing hook on the ear that wobbles her significantly before Helen drives another low punch straight into the crotch! AND JAIME TAKES A KNEE on the spot but that matters little as the ref shoves George away and gives her the LAST warning for persistent fouling. The NEC Arena responds with a massive jeering and the guilty woman looks as unimpressed as she can possible be: "I'll still knock that old slapper out, ref!" she says and well, that's a confident statement indeed. However Jaime makes a cardinal mistake after the fight is resumed as she launches immediate attack and misfires badly aiming at the head which allows the younger actress to drop a BOMB on the ear that half-spins Murray to the ropes on the spot and there's no way out from there anymore with Helen clubbing heavy punches up the middle and simply roughing the Hammersmith brunette up hand over the proverbial fist! "Bytch, how do you like it now?", George screams out as she truly intends to beat Jaime into a pulp here but she fails to knock her down for the count before the clock expires... but she doesn't care and lands three hooks straight into the brunette's face after the bell - the ref did a really poor work of keeping an eye on things here. More jeers from the crowd when the ref grabs the blonde from behind and literally kicks her back to her own corner as Murray sits down on the canvas and looks a spend force already.

Round 5:
Ref makes sure Helen gets the message but Jaime simply lacks that evil spark here tonight and allows the blonde to bully her around the ring from the word go in the sixth again. George thrives on her opponent's lacklustre execution and pummels her back to the ropes where she resists landing another low punch at first but as she tries to split the mitts upstairs she takes a page out of muay thai and buries a knee in the brunette's gut. AND JAIME IS DOWN ON HER KNEES AGAIN this time moaning her heart out! No wild card escape for the blonde anymore and she gets a point deduction but laughs off the ref's decision and vows to knock Jaime out before she gets disqualified for dirty boxing first! Hah! Those things you hear while late night boxing in Birmingham of all places.

We need a breather after this epic failure of boxing rules and Jaime gets an extra rest while the clock is stopped with 57 seconds still left. The crowd can't stop booing at the Hammersmith gal but she's really taking it well considering all that's happened so far. The one minute delay seems to have calmed George down though but she's all over the visibly tired brunette for remainder of the round and knocks her about the ring before landing a chin busting upprercut with literally three seconds to spare. Ugh! Jaime bounces off dead meat and slides down the turnbuckle but the ref refuses to start the count as the clock expires when he was shoving the ranting blonde from her prey. Helen thinks she's won it already but no, ref tells her to get lost and actually helps Jaime to climb back to her feet and now that's pure payback for all the dirty hits George landed tonight. Still, can anyone save Murray from a complete disaster anymore?

Round 6:
Murray refuses to quit on her stool but it looks like she's had enough already and has nothing to give when George splits her miits and starts to rearrange her face to almost raise the roof in the NEC Arena. A flurry of jabs crashes off the brunette's banged up face and shuts her eyes in the proccess before she gets whooped back into the ropes and can't even raise her arms anymore as Helen piles on the bruising pressure and renders her semi-conscious... It's all over now... Jaime fails to respond to anything the blonde lands on her face and begins to slide down on her knees WHEN THE REF JUMPS IN and finally hauls George off her prey. It doesn't matter at all as Murray kneels down and bends forward against the canvas spitting out her gumshield and moaning in the agony of defeat. TKO6 Helen George!!!

AFTER: This was an ugly fight thanks to the blonde's dirty tactics but she was a superior fighter and would have won it much sooner except for the illegal distractions. She really needs to calm down in the ring or else she will be disqualified just to set an example. However she grabs the announcer's mic and shouts at the joyful Birmingham crowd: "This is WAR, people! It's me versus them! These bitches like Murray deserve all the heat they can take and well, that old slapper didn't take much after all..."

BBU TV coverage cuts back from Helen's angry rant as Kate Abdo has heard enough of her but she needs to remember that there's no such thing as bad publicity and if this was Samia Ghadie going all muay thai on her rivals, the viewing numbers would have blown everyone out of the water! Helen is a new name to the sport though and there's still some questions marks over her behaviour. Safe to say, she's not going anywhere anytime soon and really wants a shot at Frankie Bridge next! Someone needs to tell her catchweights are not common species on the BBU menu!

Final result: Helen George def. Jaime Murray TKO6.
