(Girls Friday vs Bronzed Oz Boxing)

Intro:
Elena Santerelli gets her chance at a Girls Friday event as she takes on the undefeated and seemingly unstoppable Delta Goodrem at welterweight.
The Italian hasn't had the best of times in her stable with a loss in the welterweight title tournament to Alex Gerrard in the first round, while her fellow stablemate Joan Smalls advanced.
In Delta's case, she has reportedly been upset that she was snubbed by the same tournament organisers, as she sees herself as a champion in waiting.

At the press conference, Elena spoke first at the podium "This is a major fight for me, a win here shows that I have what it takes to be the stable leader at welterweight"
Adding "I know I have the talent to win, I have the physical attributes to dominant at this level, it's been more the mental aspects that have lost me fights, so Delta! Your zero has to go"
Delta is quickly up and bumps Elena on her way to the podium to speak to show her feelings for her opponent, as the Aussie looks ready to let it all out.
"Listen OK, How was I not in your title tournament? I'm unbeaten in five, I'm physically championship quality and I have the best boxing minds behind me"
Turning to Elena, she continues her rant directed at her rival "I look at her and it makes me even more confused, are you telling me some lanky Italian stick is better then me, darling I'm going to hurt you badly to show how wrong they are"
Elena stews angrily as she mouths "we'll see" before storming off stage in a huff instead of getting into the face of Delta, could there be issues within the camp or is the Italian not interested in what could have become a very public spat between the two.

Fight night in Gateshead stadium and Elena is out first, looking physically impressive to the Geordie crowd who won't have seen many 6ft models walking around the beaches.
She's wearing a light blue sports bra, shorts, shoes and gloves as she enters the ring and bows to each side of the stadium that's more famous as an athletics event then boxing.
Out comes Delta in a golden bikini top and shorts, looking like she's trying to show that she is truly championship material by looking like a champ.
She completes the look with her hair in a pony tail and has matching shoes and gloves to the rest of her gear.

The stare down once these two are in the ring together is intense as they exchange cold stares and when there foreheads touch, both women look ready to rip their gloves off and just go for each other.
The ref pushes them back and reads his final instructions out, Delta is banging her gloves together as Elena gives a cocky smile down at her rival.
Asked to touch gloves, they simply turn away from each other as there will certainly be no love lost between these two.
10 rounds of welterweight action begins now.

Round 1:
Out come the fighters, Elena is using her jab straight away to keep Delta back off of her so she can fight at long range.
Delta looks annoyed as she tries to break her way through to the body of the Italian but every time she moves forward, she's being picked at with the jab.
Elena doesn't seem to care that it's not the most thrilling fight to watch as she can't let herself get caught off the big punching Aussie.
But Delta does get some success as she gets inside the reach of Elena and skims the chin of the brunette, which has Santerelli looking a little nervous.
Before she gets that range back into her control with a quick jab/straight combo, then is back to moving around and jabbing away till the bell rings.
Delta looks pissed off at how bad that round went, as Elena in her corner is smirking at her opponent.

Round 2:
Elena again looks comfortable, she's not the most mobile fighter you'll see but she's creating space with her jab to stop any danger coming her way.
Delta's face is reddening up already from the amount of punches she is taking but she's closing the gap down and thuds can be heard when she connects to the bigger woman's body.
Elena is grimacing when she's getting hit and it spurs her to launch more punches instead of a simple jab to get back her range.
But Delta is not going to give up so easily and she keeps coming forward under the fists by ducking and waiving her way through now.
Being forced to trade, Elena doesn't look comfortable as she takes the first opportunity she can to clinch her opponent and try to hold her arms down.
Delta is screaming in frustration as she grapples with her opponent and the two almost fall into the ropes as they kick each others ankles, maybe by accident, maybe on purpose, only they could say.
The ref pulls them apart, Elena gets her range again and uses it to pile drive a hard straight down between Delta's gloves.
The bell rings and Delta has blood coming from her nostril, which isn't helping her mood.

Round 3:
Delta is furious and decides to let it all out as she comes forward without any back step in her.
This is a panic situation for Elena as she is trying to keep her control but she hasn't broken her opponents spirit, if anything she's riled her up to come forward.
Goodrem manages to thud away at the body of Elena, forcing the big woman to try and clinch again but this time Delta is shoving her as the two fighters get into a pushing match.
The Aussie fighter takes advantage of Elena's lost of focus to crack her to the face with a hard right hook and Elena is making a swift retreat backwards.
Delta is certainly in control this round as she forces Elena to the ropes and again the Italian has to clinch up before she takes some serious punishment.
Getting separated, Elena tries to spike the nose of Delta again with her straight and the glancing blow seems to slow her rival down long enough for her to see the round down.
Elena wipes her brow as she can't let Delta get a foothold in this fight or she'll be looking up at the lights, while Delta is pacing in her corner, waiting to get back out there.

Round 4:
Flying out her corner, Delta is looking to get her gloves onto Elena in a big way and wow is she!
Getting inside again, she is snapping the head of the brunette back again, who has to clinch again quickly to stop this assault before it adds up to a trip to KO city.
Blood is coming from a cut off the lips of Elena to the back of Delta, showing the power that the Aussie has in her hands when allowed to work.
When they are pulled apart, Elena is doing everything to slow her down, staying out of reach, throwing straights now to try to scare off Delta and clinching every time she is getting pressured.
Delta is nearly roaring like a banshee in frustration at the Italians tactics, shouting "fight you cowardly bytch!" As Elena continues her holding and makes matters worse by adding punches to the back of her opponents head in the clinches, which gets a stern warning off the referee.
It descends into a scruffy fight as Delta is nearing being shoved down to the ground by Elena pressing her downwards in clinches and when she gets close.
The ref decides he's had enough as the crowd boo her and takes a point off of Elena score, the Italian is furious as she looks to her corner to back her up but they know she's been too liberal with the rules.
The bell rings not long after with Elena arguing with her coach Lauren Berlingeri and Melanie Sykes for not backing her up.

Round 5:
Being forced to actually fight, Elena comes out steaming but it's Delta who is right in her fight with thunderous punches that are snapping the head of her opponent back.
Down goes Elena after a hard hook to her right cheek, another cut can be seen and this time it's a gash under the right eye.
Elena looks worried to even get up as the puffy face of Delta is begging her to get up and fight, the ref is up to 5 by this point.
Milking the count, Elena is up at 9 and she knows the ref will order the doctor to check the latest wound in this fight, which he duly does.
The doctor says it's perfectly fine and off to the races we go as Delta is in hot pursuit of a knock out and Elena is in full retreat.
Delta knocks her back against a corner and it looks to be over as she is landing some brutal punches but Elena somehow manages up to clinch up and pull Delta into the corner with her, so both have a set of ropes behind them.
Both are nose to nose and their hot tempers are flying as each calls the other a "bytch" but Elena's saying it in her native tongue.
The ref has to physically pry them out the corner and apart before Elena is back in survival mode till the bell rings and Delta looks to keep going but the ref holds her back.

Round 6:
The fight is becoming one sided as Delta is chopping away at the big brunette tree in front of her and Elena is groaning under the onslaught.
A hard right to the solar plexus bends Elena over into an undercut directly onto her nose, which seems to be the off switch as blood flows from the busted nose.
The ref doesn't bother to count as Elena is flat out with her eyes shut and blood coming from different wounds, so he doesn't waste everyone's time.

Winner: Delta Goodrem KO Round 6

After:
Delta thumps her chest to the crowd, who are cheering her for an impressive knock out to add to her growing collection.
Elena on the other hand is being checked over by the doctor, who orders a stretcher to take the beaten woman out the arena.
The crowd doesn't show much sympathy after her display, which wasn't a crowd pleaser to say the least but she was in the ring with a woman who would remind people of a shark attack if they were across from her.
Delta just blanks Elena and her corner as she gets a microphone to say her piece of mind to her new fans.
"I hope the BBU has better fighters then her! I've seen snakes with bigger back bones then her" shouts Delta with a charming wink to the crowd to show you how relaxed she is after getting all her frustration out with that knock out punch.
"I have sat back and watched your girls try to keep us superior Aussies off your doorstep after a certain dominant welterweight champion maybe hmm" continues Delta as paces in the ring before stopping in front of a camera.
She finishes by saying "I will be coming for your Egerton's, your Small's and your Dunn's because I outclass them all, so who wants to fight me now"
She gives the mic back to the stage hand and bows to the crowd before leaving to a cheer from the fans who have taken a shine to her.
