(Free agent vs Free agent)
Intro: Third fight on the card sees two free agents surprisingly on this Girls Friday PPV and two women who are certainly not Geordie's come to fight in Gateshead. Elizabeth Henstridge is making her debut against the 14 years her senior Louise Redknapp in the flyweight division. Elizabeth is well known for playing Jemma Simmons on the hit T.V show Agents of Shield. While Louise is from Lewisham and well she's been a singer and other projects but has mostly been a family woman lately more then business, only doing the occasional advert. So how did this fight come to be? Well Elizabeth explained at the press conference. "I've been training to box the past few months for my T.V show Agents of Shield, well I thought why not give it a try properly, so I reach out and the Girls Friday owner Mr. Keegan said I could train there as long as I respected the trainers and the people who are in his stable" Asked what she gets from the stable for being a non member, she replied "well coach Lauren Berlingeri has been giving me lessons, Taryn has been doing fitness with me and Melanie has been helpful as a person to chat to about anything, in return they set up my debut and get to sell the rights to the bout" Smiling she adds "but that's not something to cry about, in fact it helps me a lot as BBU T.V has picked up the event so hey guys" waving to the general public. Asked about Louise, she says "I have nothing against her, hopefully we can have a good scrap and no hard feelings afterwards" Louise is finally allowed to speak as the event has been geared towards Elizabeth and not herself, which certainly doesn't go unnoticed by her. "Look Liz, I think you're as charming as all these guys do but you don't have the first hand on anything to do with fighting, I have struggled to get a win but I'm sure I can upset you and the organisers"
Louise steps up to Elizabeth, showing they are both the same height at 5'4, neither will have an advantage there as Louise goes nose to nose with Henstridge. The brunette looks away for a moment, looking nervous but as Melanie Sykes points at her to get in Louise's face, Elizabeth does as she's directed. Louise laughs as she whispers "do you need someone to point at where to hit me" but her laugh is quickly gone as Elizabeth is heard gulping, then punches her rival in her stomach. The blonde is winded and Elizabeth puts her thumb up to Mel, who keeps quite as she knows what is about to happen. "Bytch!" Is heard loud and clear before Elizabeth is pulled by her hair and as she's pulled to her knees by Louise, Mel rushes into pull the older vixen off the young rookie. Whispering "you know she's new to this" to Louise as Elizabeth has tears in her eyes from the vicious hair pull but she stands and says "let her go" Mel does and the blonde and the brunette give a quick preview of their upcoming fight, before Elizabeth is pinned to the table by her hair and Mel has to save her again. Catfighting is certainly not Henstridge's strong point as Louise let's her up with a smile and Sykes explains to her unofficial student her mistakes.
Fight night in Gateshead stadium, Elizabeth is out first, she is wearing a black sports bra and shorts with matching gloves and shoes, her long hair is in a ponytail as she looks ready to go after her humiliation at the hands of the blonde. Lauren is in her corner and she puts Henstridge through her final paces of the warm up and Elizabeth looks fit and trim for battle. Out comes Louise, she is wearing all white gear and while she's not in peak condition, she has a good looking body that can get anyone's attention. The final instructions are read out as the fighters bounce on the spot and when asked to touch gloves, Louise smirks as she swipes a glove at the two Elizabeth holds out. 10 rounds of flyweight action start now.
Round 1: Both fighters come out and Louise seems stunned as she was waiting for an rampaging assault on her guard but Elizabeth is out with a single punch approach, which Redknapp would take all day if asked. The pace is slow as neither commits to a full on attack, Louise is weary of what Elizabeth is planning as she is over thinking things, while Henstridge is nervous and she's letting it dictate her actions. Louise seems to cotton on somewhat as she comes forward with her fists flowing more freely but it's still not exactly a crowd pleasing attack as the crowd chant for the girls to get at each other. Instead it continues in the same vein till the bell, where there is a low rumble of boos starting to form. Lauren is telling Elizabeth to get out if her own head and do as they trained, the Sheffield fighter looks more assured as she gives Berlingeri a quick hug and her second for tonight replies "save that for when you win you sappy sod"
Round 2: Elizabeth is more on the front foot as she shows some nice skills, she isn't exactly Floyd Mayweather but she is moving her head well and is starting to let her hands go. Louise is trying to bully her opponent into a corner or the ropes but is simply too slow to keep up with the younger woman. Henstridge is looking happy with herself now as she continues to circle around her opponent, changing direction when she needs too and just out working the older blonde. She even comes to the inside of Louise's guard to bang away at the body and take minimal hits in return to her own body. The crowd is cheering the action somewhat know as that first round couldn't be worse if it tried to be to them. The round ends with Louise banged to the ropes and looking worried, in the other corner it's all rainbows and puppies as Elizabeth is asking repeatedly "how well did I do?" And Lauren is looking up at the sky thinking "how do I get her to shut up and focus?"
Round 3: Louise surprises the brunette with a quick start as Elizabeth's focus seems to have wavered and the blonde finally gets her opponent to the ropes. Attacking the body, Louise hopes to shut the brunettes energy supply off but she's getting clipped along her cheeks, which is certainly not part of the part. Lauren is shouting instructions to Elizabeth as Louise's corner tries to do the same to get her to keep her guard high. But it's Elizabeth who seems to heed her corners words better as digs her punches to the body of the blonde to back her up. Then she strikes forward with a hard jab, right hook to a retreating Louise's face and down goes the Cockney fighter to her back. Elizabeth is jumping for joy and shouting "oh my God" as the ref has to physically shove her to a neutral corner and then goes to count. Louise sits up and shakes her head as she can't believe this naive bytch knocked her down in her mind, but Redknapp was picked as cannon fodder and up to now she's fit the bill perfectly. Getting up at 8, Louise doesn't look badly hurt as the fighters exchange till the bell rings and Elizabeth rushes to her corner to tell Lauren how great that feeling of knocking Louise down was. Lauren replies "just picture how a knock out will feel" to which Elizabeth's eyes light up and the Girls Friday coach shakes her head and has to smile. Louise on the other hand looks annoyed at herself for not being able to take this woman out, "sure I'm older" thinks the blonde before thinking "but she's so hyper it's like boxing a child and not an adult"
Round 4: Again Louise tries to bully Elizabeth early on but instead the brunette is back in her zone and snaps the head of the blonde back with some hard jabs and straights. An uppercut square to the chin knocks Louise loopy and down to her back again as Elizabeth rushes to her corner to celebrate with Lauren and the ref has to drag her to a neutral corner further away from Louise. Finally he begins the count with Redknapp trying to stir but her legs are jelly as she tries to get to her feet and she's down again for the count of 10.
Winner: Elizabeth Henstridge KO Round 4
After: Elizabeth is almost bouncing off the walls in the stadium, she rushes over to Lauren who looks like a proud parent. The two women share a hug as Elizabeth says "my God, you were right about this feeling, to think I'm so dorky outside a ring" Lauren has to bite her tongue before she tells Elizabeth she's dorky in the ring but she is honestly proud of this woman but there is an elephant in the room. Elizabeth seems oblivious to it as she jumps on the bottom rope of each side of the ring to wave to the crowd and she surprises everyone by going over to Louise, whose sitting up and hugging her. Louise looks stunned as Elizabeth says "I'm sorry for hitting you at the press conference, I was so confused by everything, you were in my grill and well I did wrong so put it there" Henstridge has her glove held out after rambling and Louise bumps it and has to admit she likes this girl even after all the fighting between the two. Louise is helped from the ring and Elizabeth claps her with her gloves still on which is a sight. Elizabeth has that loveable personality thinks Lauren as she sheds a tear thinking she's going to miss that dork as Henstridge calls herself to her friends. Getting the microphone to give her winners speech to a loudly cheering crowd, Elizabeth seems surprisingly awkward as she tries to think what to say after having so much to say. "Oh gosh, I'm not really a public speaker so thank you guys for the support and I hope the Girls Friday management can keep helping me till I can find a home stable" Lauren looks shocked and quickly rushes to tackle Elizabeth to the canvas to give her a massive hug and shouts "you won't get rid of me that easily you nerd!" Elizabeth puts on a pout and says "I am not a nerd, I'm cooler then that, I'm a dork you'll find" then the two laugh their socks off and leave the ring together.
