VALMORE

I am doing my much maligned rankings early since our last rankings have been lost. To remind all, our rankings differ from those of our great friends as Boxing World in that we require activity. A fighter must fight at least every three PPVs or ninety days which ever is longer. We also put emphasis on competition. A record of 4-2 against top talent is better than 6-0 against second tier opponents. We once had the Maria Menounos Theory Of Retaining A Title. Don’t defend it Now I will christen the Kristen Stewart Great Record Method. Namely avoid top talent if at all possible In her remarkable 27-3 record, compiled in 6 1/2 years, she has fought a top ten fighter only twice. In her last bout her opponent was ranked 101. The champion is not automatically the number one fighter.

TOP TEN LIGHTWEIGHTS

I believe we are seeing decreased activity in the lightweight over the last couple months with the two lighter divisions getting most of the action. The number of fighters eligible for the top ten is decreasing.

1  BLAKE LIVELY She does happen to be the champion. Won her fifth straight in KOing Brook in the July PPV

2. ODETTE YUSTMAN. She has won eight of her last eleven. She was upset by Brook in her last fight , but maintains her number 2 ranking

3 KATIE PERRY Could have well been number two, however, her last three fights were from the Kristen Stewart playbook. Her opponents were numbers 60, 61 and 77. I think she will get back into top action in the upcoming PPV where she may fight Winstead

4 MARY ELIZABETH WINSTEAD Barely managed to stay ranked beating the 90 day time limit by two days. She should be on the August card

5 JESSICA BIEL Seems to be back from hard times wining four of her last five, I hear rumors will will get a title shot in the upcoming PPV

6 MISSY PEREGRYM She us 5-1-1 in her last six. Her lone loss was to Lively

7 YVONNE STRAHOVSKI The normally top two or three fighter dropped on her shocking upset KO loss to the GOAT in the July PPV

8 BROOKLYN DECKER The former champion is 3-2 this year after losing the title to Lively and then suffering a upset loss to Kerr in the last PPV

9 DANIELA RUAH She is 5-2 since the beginning of last year. Her losses were to the welterweights Regan and Bjorlin

10 ANNA TORV She has won ten straight but her competition hasn’t been good, however she did beat the dangerous Palicki in the June PPV

ON THE CUSP

TAYLOR SWIFT. She is 11-2 this year. She needs to step up in competition to break into the rankings

TAYLOR COLE The most dangerous fighter not to be ranked. She has lost 7 of her last ten, every loss being to a top ten fighter. A couple straight wins would do a lot to boost her

WHO IS NOT RANKED

GEMMA ARTERTON Out because of inactivity

KALEY CUCUO Out because on inactivity

ERICA DURANCE Out because of inactivity. She hasn’t fought in over a year. I am dropping her name from further mention

THE TOP TEN WELTERWEIGHTS

Its the old story. Lots of names, many over forty. Few fights. Only two on the last PPV and one of those was a newcomer bout

1 AMANDA RIGHETTI Do I really need to say anything

2 BRIDGET REGAN Ditto

3 GEMMA ATKINSON This year she is 3-2 with wins over Freeman and Law in her last two, Her losses were to Righetti and Lively

4 CASSIDY FREEMAN Off to a poor start this year losing two of three but the losses were to Righetti and Atkinson She remains in the top five

5 GENA LEE NOLIN I guess you know I just hate this, but I got to give credit where it is due

6 LEELEE SOBIESKI Moves to six. Nine out of ten recently with her one loss being to Peregrym with wins over Patton and Moore

7 KESHA Competition not the best, however she has won nine of her last ten with a win over Bloodgood in her last bout

8 MOON BLOODGOOD She has lost three of her last five but one of her wins was over Nolin

9 PAULA PATTON She has lost four of her last five and 61% of her fights in her career. Why is she ranked? Well at least she fights

10 VACANT Why no number ten. See below

WHO IS NOT RANKED

SARAH LANCASTER Inactivity

BIANCA KAJLICH Inactivity

KATRINA LAW Inactivity

MANDY MOORE Inactivity

CHARLOTTE MCKINNEY All her bouts are at JMDD We only ranked conventional fighters
