(Free Agent vs Downunder Boxing)

Intro:
Some people claim 40 is the new something every year, well Carla Bonner has decided that 43 is the perfect age to make your debut to celebrity boxing it seems.
As she tells the journalists at her first ever press conference as a boxer "Holly talked me into finally giving this a go instead of just training in a gym"
She is of course talking about her best friend Holly Valance, who she basically grew up on the set of Neighbours as the Scully sisters, Carla of course playing Steph Scully.
"I've always been superfit and I have tried it in my younger days as an amateur but never anything like this" she adds.
Moving so the journalists can see clearly, she takes her leather jacket off to reveal some tight abs for a woman over 40 and some guns to go with them.
Her opponent Natalie Bassingthwaighte doesn't seem interested at all in Carla's speech or her body as she gets up to speak.
"Look Carla, this isn't a friendly foxy boxing night, if you think that training in a gym prepares you to get your ass kicked, then you are a dumber bytch than you look!" Shouts Natalie as Carla looks ready to start fighting now.
"I mean if this is a mid life crisis then you've picked the wrong person to play with because I will love smashing you into the canvas and making you retire after one lonesome fight" says Natalie with a face full of malice at Carla.
The fighters are ushered face to face for the final stare down before tomorrow's fight, both women look like they could stare a hole through the other.
Raising their fists for the photo, Natalie bumps her fists into Carla's and both start punching each other.
But luckily secury gets involved before any real damage can be done to each fighter, who both look at each other with looks that say "did you enjoy that first taste of my fists"

Fight night in Melbourne, Australia; Carla Bonner comes out first with Holly Valance and Kym Valentine, who played her best friend Libby Kennedy in Neighbours.
Carla is wearing a black sports bra with matching lyrca workout shorts, gloves and shoes to finish her look, her hair is tied up into a bun to stop it going into her face.
She climbs into the ring looking confident as she jogs around the ring and waves to her fans in the arena.
Out comes Natalie, she is with her trainer Nikki Visser and Edwina Bartholomew is also out for moral support.
Her attire is a white sports bra, tight white lyric workout shorts with matching shoes and gloves, her hair is in a ponytail to complete her look.
Natalie enters the ring and proceeds to do her own lap around the ring, making sure to stop in front of Carla for a quick stare down before proceeding the rest of the way around to her corner.

The fans are watching keenly as these two cougars of the ring prowl around each other for a few seconds till they are forced to stand in the ring centre face to face.
The fighters touch foreheads together as the referee is finishing his instructions but the fighters are too busy insulting each other before they start shoving each other and the ref has to get between them to stop any fighting before the bell.
Both women are warned that any dirty fighting or anything that goes against the rules in general, he will deduct points and disqualify them as he tries to get order.
Forcing the fighters to touch gloves, they give each others gloves a quick swipe before returning to their corners.
Both women go through their final routines with their corners before they are ready to start, the bell rings to begin 10 rounds of bantamweight action.

Round 1:
Off we go as the fighters come out with high guards and on their toes, while neither is a speed demon across the canvas, the early punches they are hitting each other with show you the power they have.
Natalie using her experience to great effect early on, ducking and waiving before counter punching Carla.
Carla for what she is worth is getting in some good body shots but it's Natalie who is landing with the cleaner punches.
Natalie is doubling up that jab to keep Carla back, even with her extra inch of height, Bonner can't get herself into position to do some damage as she'd like to.
That changes near the end of the round as Carla catches Natalie on her nose with a hard straight and she plants her feet to land two thunderous body shots that put her opponent down on her side.
Natalie looks stunned but she got too lax with her guard and she paid the price with those two punches connecting to wind her.
The ref is up to 6 as she milks the count before she is standing at 8 and nods to the referee that she wants to continue.
After being checked, the ref let's Natalie continue and luckily for her the be rings shortly after.
But it has to be seen as a disaster for her as she returns to her corner and the only hope Natalie is that her early work impressed the judges to maybe make it a 10-9 round instead of an 8.

Round 2:
Now Natalie has tasted the power of Carla, she is moving around her opponent to keep out of the "kill" zone in front of Carla.
Jabbing away to set up bigger punches, Natalie looks calmer till Carla pressures her to the ropes.
Both fighters slug it out at the ropes till Natalie can clinch up and pull Carla to the ropes then it becomes a wrestling match as they grapple against the ropes.
Natalie ends up on the ropes again after Carla turns her back around and the referee finally gets between the warring two.
Natalie is happy for the breathing room again as she moves away from Carla to get her jab working again.
Carla can only land glancing blows as she tries to cut the ring down again.
The bell rings with Natalie looking much more happier but she still has a trace of fear on her face as Carla is stronger than she is.
Carla is getting advice on how to get at Natalie by her friends as both seem proud of her for even stepping in the ring.

Round 3:
Carla looks up for this as she takes several jabs to her face but her movement is more cerebral now and it's allowing her to walk down Natalie as she hoped before.
The advice is starting to pay off as she knocks Natalie to the ropes and starts pounding her with looping hooks to the body.
Natalie is firing back with some sharp punches of her own but she isn't matching Carla for sheer strength and is being beaten on the ropes.
She clinches up again to stop the flow of punches, she doesn't look that OK though as she is breathing quickly.
Getting separated, Carla lands a right uppercut to Natalie's chin that snaps her head back and the other two punches that follow seem like over kill as a right and left hook punch her to the canvas.
Her eyes are closed and the referee waves the right off as Natalie is out cold, knocked out before she landed.

Winner: Carla Bonner KO Round 3

After:
Carla looks stunned at her own strength as she stares down at the wrecked body of Natalie.
Holly and Kym quickly rush in to hug her and congratulate her as medics rush in the ring to wake up Natalie from her nap.
Natalie does get woken up but she's too weak to leave the ring standing, so has to be stretchered out the ring to a respectful round of applause.
But it's Carla whose picked up a following it seems with that performance as Holly and Kym pick her up.
While she looks embarrassed, the crowd cheer her and chant her name as if she's won a world title.

The three best friends leave the ring and as they head to the back, journalists want a word with her.
"Sadly I'm not exactly the age to give the youngsters much of a fight but I can do these one off bouts against women of a similar age, especially if that's the reaction you get for a win" says Carla as she beams.
She adds "I know there are strong women roughly my age like Denise Van Outen I hear or a Jaime Murray to fight and plenty in this country to fight"
Holly and Kym drag her away as the three act like teenagers, giggling and joking about what they are going to get up to tonight as they head for the lockers.
