(Girls Friday vs The Metermaids)
Intro: The opening bout in this special Girls Friday event sees Emily Attack try to get back into the wins column against the ACB's firecracker Isla Fisher. Emily is 26, while Isla has turned 40 this year and wasn't seen as a major threat to title contention in the past, so this is being billed as an open goal for Emily. But how much have her losses this year damaged her as a fighter and with trouble this past month with her own stable mate Maria Ozawa, is she still the girl who became a flyweight champion or is she shot?
At the press conference, Emily spoke first as she got asked about the stable and her place within it after everything that's happened. She answers "I admit, this past year has been a bust for me and I have not been the best that I can be so this fight has to be the beginning of something better" Asked about Ozawa, she replies "me and Maria are not friends and we have learned to accept that but we now respect each other and we try to give the other space when we need it but we will push the other when we spar and leave it in the ring, not in the rest of the gym." The final question is on Isla and Emily simply turns to the redhead before the question is finished and says "don't get any ideas honey, like your hair colour, you're a tomato can I can kick down the road to hopefully get back to bigger things" Isla face turns red as she storms up to the podium for her Q and A but just looks at Emily and shouts "honey if you think I'm just going to fall over for you, then you're in for a long night!" Turning to the journalists she adds "my record isn't great but last time I checked, this blonde bimbo was being trashed by all comers and that title rein she had seems so long ago, how many of you truly remember it?" Some journalists honestly have to look at each other as it had been a few years, Isla finished with "I will not be treated as a joke and that means hammering you bytch" The fighters are placed together and the stare down is intense as both fighters bump body to body and exchange threats on how badly they are going to hurt the other, before they are taken off stage.
Fight time in Sydney; Australia, Emily is out first to loud boos, that's to be expected since it's England vs Australia and will probably happen to most of the Girls Friday girls, bar Olympia Valance of course. Emily is wearing a black one swimsuit with matching gloves and shoes as she enters the ring and ignores the crowd to warm up in her corner with Taryn Terrell and cut woman Eva Carneiro next to her. Out comes Isla to a loud cheer, as she waves to the packed arena and looks like she's going to cry with all the emotions of fighting here hitting her. She gets herself under control emotionally as she climbs into the ring in a dark red swimsuit and has matching gloves and shoes to complete the look. Both fighters are ushered to the ring centre and both women stare straight into the others eyes as the ref finishes his instructions. Asked to touch gloves, they give each others gloves a quick swipe to show there won't be much respect in this fight before they head to their corners for their gumshields. 10 rounds of flyweight action ahead as the bell rings to start us off.
Round 1: Out come the fighters, Isla isn't going to rush across the ring as she hopes to counter Emily it seems but Atack is moving too quickly for the redhead to pinpoint her punches. Instead she's the one that is getting knocked backwards by some hard body shots as Emily seems to be really up for this. A chopping right to the left cheek of Isla puts her down to the canvas as loud boos rain out towards Emily, who in turn is more focused on the downed redhead then the crowd. Isla doesn't seem badly hurt as she sits up and looks at the referee with an annoyed look as she waits for the count to get near 8 before getting up to a cheer, the ref checks her over and deems she is fine to continue the fight. Backing away, Isla doesn't want a repeat of what just happened in the last few moments and somehow gets out the round with her jabs seemingly keeping the blonde fighter away.
Round 2: Emily certainly looks like she has a point to prove and she is going to prove it with Isla being the unlucky fighter in her path. Again Emily opens up Isla by going to the body first, that gets the redheads attention as she tries to escape backwards. But she's overmatched and it's not long till Emily cracks her across her cheek with a pair of hooks to wobble Isla to the ropes. Another across the temple of Isla puts her down in a heap on her side and the lights are on but nobody seems to be home as the ref begins his count. He gets up to 8 before Isla rolls to her back and seems to shake her head as the referee reaches the count of 10 and it's over.
Winner: Emily Atack KO Round 2
After: Emily raises her gloves to a chorus of boos, the blonde doesn't care what this lot think as she is just relieved to have got back onto the winning side of a fight. Taryn Terrell pats Emily on her back as Eva Carneiro rushes in to hug her, which makes Emily smile widely. Isla meanwhile is being brought around with smelling salts and she looks embarrassed by her performance as she looks at the canvas. Unlucky for her, whether the crowd has pissed off Emily or she wants to make her statement of being back even louder. The redhead is dragged off her stool by her hair with a vicious hair pull before Emily shouts "this is my bytch!" As she pulls Isla around the ring using her hair as a leash, till Isla starts crawling like a dog around the ring. Emily seems in glee as the crowd are roaring their disgust at what they are seeing as some even throw litter into the ring to try and hit the blonde victor. As Emily finishes her lap, Taryn shouts "babe you better get to the back as you're going to start a riot!" Before they make a quick retreat. Isla lays sobbing on her back in the middle of the ring, she wishes she could just crawl up into a ball and forget this ever happened. She's helped out the ring by her seconds to a muted reaction as the Sydney crowd are stewing at what they just witnessed and it takes an apology by Girls Friday management to somewhat calm things down as the crowd hope their girls kick these invaders asses even more now.
