(Girls Friday vs Wildetime boxing)

Intro:
Maisie Williams gets her chance now as she takes on Penny Higgs here tonight in Sydney as the 19 year old English girl fights the 33 year old Australian woman.
This is being billed as the tester bout for Maisie after her win and loss to her Game of Thrones co-star and frenemy Emilia Clarke.
Penny is a former ACB flyweight champion and is seen as being as tough a test as Emilia was for Maisie due to her experience coupled with her dancing background making her super fit compared to most celeb boxers.
Both women meet face to face for the first time and wow is the first thought that crossed some journalists minds as Penny at 5'6 towered over the 5'1 Maisie.
But to Maisie's credit, she was body to body with Penny and didn't look overawed by the woman in front of her, in fact she was all smiles as Penny tried to psyche her out.

Going to their seats for this press conference, Maisie was up to talk and she looked excited just being in Down Under.
"It's not very often I get a chance to visit here but when I do, just wow is all I think as walk around these streets and your beautiful buildings" says Maisie as the crowd of journalists all smile as Williams comes across as fully sincere.
Turning to Penny, she jokes "thank God you're not Emilia as I don't think I can just shout at her for my entire career can I?"
Before she says in a serious tone "but I know who you are and I know you'll kick my arse but can you beat me is the question and I know the answer is no"
Maisie goes to her seat as Penny goes to the podium to speak her mind "you're damn right that I am not Emilia Clarke, she wouldn't dare fight me if she got the chance to"
Staring at Maisie, she adds "honey, I don't know if it was you or your management who wanted you to get an ass kicking off the real best of the ACB"
Finishing with "if people think my career ended with me losing the ACB flyweight title to Emilia Browning, watch what I do to this girl"
Penny storms off as she's not interested in a photo op stare down with Maisie, who looks confused why Higgs is being so blunt with her but Taryn explains that "Penny needs a win badly to get her career back on track and sadly you're in her crosshairs"
Maisie laughs as all she can think is bring it then when she thinks of Penny and what she'll do to her when she gets the chance.

Fighting time and out comes Maisie first with Melanie Sykes and Eva Caneiro by her side.
She is wearing a red swimsuit with a "House Stark" motif she loves to wear on her gear to remind people of her Game of Thrones status.
Completing the look, she has a pair of red gloves and boots on as she climbs into the ring.
Penny is out next, she is wearing a white skirt and as she dances down to the ring to applause by the crowd, her coach Tania Zaetta rips her skirt off to reveal she's in a tight black swimsuit with matching black gloves and shoes.
Climbing into the ring, she goes straight over to Maisie to try and intimidate her but Maisie just stares at her to prove she's not afraid of this mountain she has to climb.
The ref pulls Penny back and gets the fighters to the ring centre, where the stare down continues between the two and people are wondering when either will blink.
Asked to touch gloves, Penny forces her gloves hard into Maisie's but as she pulls her gloves away, Maisie bangs hers back into Higgs and we nearly have the fight start early as Penny doesn't take kindly to being shown up.
Both are kept apart and forced into their corners to get their gumshields in and finish warning up for 10 rounds of flyweight action.

Round 1:
Off we go and straight away Maisie surprises Penny by racing under her lax jab to get her head down before beginning to work the body of the taller fighter.
Maisie showing no fear as Penny pushes her off then slamming that jab to the top of the youngsters head to show what the height difference exactly means.
But Williams is ducking and waiving enough to be able to get under the overconfident Penny's punches before ripping body shots that have the bigger woman starting to get pissed off about.
Penny pulls Maisie into a clinch, she looks like she is using a JMD tactic as Maisie's fighting not to have her head pushed into Penny's jugs to smother her.
The ref gets them apart and for all of Maisie's early work, Penny takes control now, using her dancing trained footwork to keep the distance at her range before popping the smaller fighter with stinging jabs over the guard.
Maisie is being treated like a little kid instead of a fully grown woman by the taller Aussie, who is starting to get a cocky grin on her face.
The bell rings and Penny is going to dance back to her corner but Maisie is squaring up to her as the two fighters eyes meet and the tension in the air could be cut with a knife.
The ref pushes both fighters away towards their corners but both women have sent a message to the other that they are not going to be beaten by the other and in Maisie's case pushed around.

Round 2:
Penny looks comfortable in her range as Maisie just can't find a way around the striking range of the bigger woman even with her speed as Higg's dance training helps her move around the ring.
The crowd is in full voice as they cheer for Penny to beat this little woman to a pulp and their fighter is doing her best as Maisie is stuck on the end of a jab.
Finally Maisie does make her way through and is slamming hooks as hard and as fast as she can into Penny's stomach and some "stray" punches to her opponents jugs as payback for nearly getting a closer view of them.
Penny looks like she is getting hurt as she has to pull Maisie into another clinch but Williams is still able to dish out some body shots till Higgs manhandles her in a corner.
Penny is digging sly uppercuts into Maisie's chin as Williams tries covering up till the ref can get involved and separate the two fighter's out of the corner.
Again Penny is able to work her advantages against Maisie to pound away at her guard with jabs and long looping right hooks to try and shut down the little fighter.
But Maisie isn't backing down as she keeps trying to work her way through to get back at Penny to hurt her.
The bell rings and again Maisie is straight into a stare down with Penny whose already getting sick of this, she shoves Maisie down to her bum as the ref gets between them.
But Maisie is quickly back to her feet and back into the face of Penny as the two exchange hateful looks at each other as this is becoming personal fast.

Round 3:
Penny again takes control of the early going with her jab flicking out to cause Maisie problems, against Emilia Clarke she didn't have the problems she does here and she hasn't found the perfect answer yet.
Even as Mel tries to get her fighter to stay low and use her speed to get to the inside, Maisie is being repeatedly forced on the outside and that is Penny's realm.
A hard right hook from Penny has Maisie wobbling as the big Aussie starts shoving her backwards under some hard punches.
The fight seems like it is in danger of being over as Penny knocks Maisie to the ropes and cracks her down with another hard right hook.
Penny almost dances to a neutral corner as Maisie is on her side and the ref begins his count.
The dancer is gleeful as she thinks she has finally finished off Maisie for the count till she starts to see signs of life from the Brit.
Maisie makes it up at 8 and looks pissed off more than seriously hurt but is she bluffing?
Penny is willing to fight out as she charges forward and Maisie is definitely on the back foot with her guard tight.
The bigger fighter can't find the key but it's been a dominant round for her as the bell rings and as Maisie looks to continue her stare down contests after the bell, Penny just ignores her and returns to her corner.

Round 4:
Maisie is looking to keep this a fight as she becomes more aggressive, hassling Penny repeatedly as she bobs and waives her way forward.
Willing to get spiked to the face with a jab to quickly move into the space behind where the jab came from to get to the body of Penny again.
The fight is being a scruffy affair as Penny is keep trying to push Maisie away or hold onto her as she keeps racing forward to dig away to the body with short sharp punches.
The crowd for the first time in this fight look slightly nervous as Penny is been beaten backwards and as she shoves Maisie over to her backside again, the referee gives her a warning that next time she does that, it's a point off.
That gives Maisie extra drive to keep pressurizing the bigger fighter as all Penny can do is pull her into a tight clinch, making both fighters grapple in tight.
The ref pulls the two apart with some effort as Maisie quicker than anytime in the fight moves forward as she seems to smell blood in the water.
Penny can be heard breathing faster as she keeps pulling Maisie to her to stop taken as many punches to her guts.
The fighters nearly topple over as they aggressively grapple with each other before the referee drags them apart and warns them both to settle down.
The bell rings with Penny for the first time that round getting her range back under control but it's Maisie who looks like she wants to continue as she pounds her chest and shouts "come on then!" To Penny.
Penny looks stunned that after the first three rounds where she just beat the crap out of the Brit, that she would still have the will to fight as hard as she did.

Round 5:
Penny looks to be slowing down as Maisie is finding her way through more regularly and in fact the Aussie is on the retreat.
The fighting looks a lot more even as they trade in tight circles, Penny doesn't look comfortable in close like this as it must be bringing back memories of her losses to Emily Browning and Danni Minogue in her last two fights.
Penny again clinches up to the annoyance of the referee, who again has to split up this spirited wrestling action between the two women.
Maisie gets back to work again as she keeps pummelling that body and bruising is forming for all to see around the abs of Penny.
But Penny socks Maisie in her face with a hard straight and the damage she's taken early on is really starting to get bad.
Maisie's face is swelling up and now there's a cut just above her left eye for her to worry about as Penny starts attacking it as furiously as her own body has been attacked.
It's a serious battle of wills as the fighters just brawl each other to their wounded areas and the two nearly fall together as they clash body to body.
But it's Maisie who gets the worse of that since she's nearly into the two pillows on Penny's chest as they collide.
The bell rings with both women looking dishevelled and sore as they return to their corners quietly this time.

Round 6:
Maisie maybe too keenly rushes out to try and keep working on the body of Higgs as she can see it is having an effect.
But she's met with a hard right hook as Penny begins to get desperate and she goes on the attack herself, aiming for that cut above her opponents left eye.
That first punch wobbles Maisie as the follow up right puts her down once again to a loud roar from the crowd, who hope this is finally the win they've been hoping for in this card up to now.
That cut on Maisie's face is starting to open up as blood runs down her face but she still pushes herself up at 8 and for the first time in her boxing career, you'd say she is really like Anya Stark.
She's ordered to be checked over by the doctor and he has to wash her face to see the cut, he gives her a warning that if it gets worse the fights over.
Nodding she turns back to Penny and bangs her gloves together to show she wants more and the look in Penny's eyes shows she is willing to give more.
Back they go at each other in a furious exchange of punches, Maisie for all her heart seems to be getting the worse of it and another hook, a left this time rocks Williams to the ropes.
As Penny starts throwing some hard punches to the girl stuck on the ropes, the referee pulls the big girl backwards and waves the fight off to the delight of the crowd.

Winner: Penny Higgs TKO Round 6

After:
Penny lifts her arms to the crowd, who roar their happiness that finally one of their girls has beaten one of the visitors tonight.
Maisie looks upset at the stoppage but as blood runs down her left side of her face from that cut, you could argue that the doctor could have stopped it earlier.
Penny goes over to Maisie to check she's not badly hurt, which the Brit shakes her head to show she isn't and the Aussie says "you surprised me, I know you'll surprise a lot more people if you can keep that spirit"
The fighters touch gloves in a sign of respect before Maisie gets cleaned up in her corner and leaves with help from Eva Carneiro as she is wobbling slightly on her way out.
Penny applauds her opponent before shouting to the crowd "who needs that bytch Browning, I'm the best flyweight in the ACB and I'll continue to prove it"

As the fighters enter the backstage area, both get a chance at saying a few words to the media assembled in the back.
Maisie doesn't say much other than to praise Penny "she was too much for me, this was always a learning experience but one I hoped to win, Penny showed why she is one of the best in this country"
Penny got her chance after Maisie had left to get her cut sorted and she was equally as complementary of Maisie and her fighting.
"I honestly didn't expect so much fight from her, you look at her and think she's some small runt but then you pound her and she keeps getting up and keeps getting into your face" says Penny.
Before she admits "with more experience and training, I'm woman enough to admit that this result may have been completely different but at the end of the day I won and maybe I'll get a chance at Emily Browning hmm"
