BEFORE: Lacuna Coil's lead singer Cristina Scabbia has fallen on hard times lately. Her American foray resulted in two quick defeats at the hands of Ksenia Solo and Alicia Vikander which led to her parting ways with the Latin Union stable back in May. The sudden axe was particulary shocking when one considers Scabbia's near flawless 8-1 BBU record that keeps turning the heads around on this side of the Atlantic. The only possible reason to be concerned? The Italian metal singer turned 44 in June and doesn't have years of top shape ahead of her according to BBU TV's Kate Abdo who calls tonight's bout a real cougar scrap with the AWUBA/ACB multiple flyweight & super bantamweight champion Dannii Minogue entering the Cardiff Arena ring from the opposite side.

Minogue is actually a year older than Scabbia but brings a devastating punch to the table; she's won eight of her last nine bouts both in the UK and back home Down Under with her only loss coming via an upset KO to Heidi Range last December. However the brunette dynamo has since bounced back and stopped the highly-touted Ola Jordan before a shellacking dismissal of Amanda Holden just last month.

Kate Abdo remains coy on the outcome of tonight's contest, Cristina is a classic goth metal babe full of energy and mean intentions but Minogue won't back off that easily either. Of course the Australian singer has scored more wins lately but the Italian must be hungry for success and that's a dangerous scenario for the older of these two cougar babes.

Cristina Scabbia wears an all black bikini set with a couple of white dragons painted on each cup and neon green gloves. Long black hair tied in a sleek ponytail. Dannii Minogue wears a navy blue bikini set and golden gloves. Medium lenght dark brown hair in loose waves. The fight is scheduled for ten rounds in the flyweight division.

Round 1:
Both women are known for ultra aggressive style allthough Scabbia's confidence needs a reboot following her dodgy FCBA endeavour; Minogue knows all about and applies the early heat like a true legend she is back in her home country. She bombs away at the Italian's head trying to catch her cold as quickly as possible but Cristina resumes her intimidating BBU stance in fine fashion as she rips through the Aussie guard and lands the biggest punch of the high-tempo opener that smacks into Dannii's lips and reels her backwards. Ugh! The Aussie bomber throws immediate death stare at her rival but just can't back up her claims in similar fashion and spends the second minute blocking off more head hunting efforts from the goth metal singer before clinching her in the center of the ring in rather submissive fashion. Scabbia breaks free from the joint and sends out an uppercut spree hoping to punish the Aussie guard again but Danni's quick footwork enables her to fend off the heat even though she probably concedes the round through that defensive tactics according to Kate Abdo.

Round 2:
Unlike the Bridge/Merry creampuff offense, we're dealing with a couple of flyweight studs here so any punch that hits the bullseye could become terminal yet neither of these two singers seems to care much so we channel the high-octane drill again. Danni shows more agility in switching downstairs which briefly leaves the younger singer exposed but Scabbia knows a thing or two about pure evil as she rocks the fellow brunette with a crisp uppercut and this time Danni didn't have it covered at all. She wobbles into another jaw-busting hook and needs a blatan clinch to survive the Italian push for glory; Cristina flexes her muscles though and displays supreme strenght which enables her to shove the other woman back and sting her with a left hook on the eye. Dannii winces in pain but seeks immediate response, that's a bad idea if the precision goes south and it does here, she bumps off Scabbia's right shoulder and then eats another hook on the jaw that slumps her against the goth meta chick's shoulder. "U like that, bytch?", Cristina seeths into her ear and works the left-handed harpoon to pummel the older singer back to the ropes where she rocks the cleavage as well with Minogue trapped under the cosh and unable to tame out the barrage. The Cardiff Arena crowd enjoys that Italian offense much, the demand for a proper goth metal champ is still huge and Scabbia truly makes the UK music market look obsolete with her trademark gung-ho offense.

Round 3:
Dannii realizes this is not Cheryl Cole she fights here tonight, the Geordie singer whom she dominated back in the day and Cristina carves more lumps into her face as she shatters the high guard and gets all vocal in the proccess. Losing to Alicia Vikander seems to have triggered utmost wrath inside the Italian's brain and she simply shows the ACB legend no respect whatsoever while thumping her up the middle and connecting with the chin repeatedly. Of course Dannii fought journeywoman Holden last time out and the upgrade in competition is enormous here. The Aussie singer revrerts into more clinching stalemate just hoping to see the metal leather rush out but Scabbia bullies her back into the turnbuckle regardless and keeps stuffing her up to the gut which secures her a convincing score on the cards after three.

Round 4:
Minogue just can't outmanouver her rival across the ring and is forced to fight on Scabbia's terms wholesale. She lands only single punches up the middle which make no impression on the metal chick at all and whenever Cristina whips an overhand combo it spells disaster to Danni's face which begins to lump up badly half-way through the fourth. Of course the ACB legend won't buckle underneath a simple cut or two but the ammount of pressure thrown at her begins to take it's toll and the Aussie is saddled on the back foot come the final minute which only fuels Cristina's confidence and allows her to rally back with more ribcage juice late. Dannii gets caught out to the gut and wobbles into another jaw spike that snaps her head back and leaves all lost at sea tactically at the bell. She shakes her head and just can't understand what's wrong with her otherwise so intimidating ring presence.

Round 5:
Cristina keeps piling on the head shots and forces Dannii to hang back in mid distance briefly but the aggressive Aussie tactics eventually takes over and the older brunette decides to slug it out mid-ring... BAD IDEA all around as Scabbia rattles the cocky Minogue with a left hook on the eye before adding another vicious uppercut on the chin.. the arms go astray and Dannii gets nuked from point-blank range with another jaw-busting hook that spins her back to the ropes with eyes closed... Minogue bends to the right but her feet are glued to the canvas and she gets whopped with a right hook on the mouth as Scabbia ups the work rate and delivers the jabbing combo upstairs to sway Dannii's dark waves all around her neck. The Aussie singer just can't embrace the heat and gets roughed up badly, Scabbia literally screams out in delight when she notices a deep cut under the left eye starting to leake red fluid and she smokes Minogue late with another uppercut; most of the flyweights would have gone down in the middle of that punching frenzy but the Aussie grasps her ACB super bantamweight championship legacy and survives the beating... just...

Round 6:
Cristina's BBU comeback has been very impressive indeed and now she has the Aussie singer rattled and hoping to bide her time in mid distance. That's not gonna work when you've got one blood-thirsty Italian seething down on a highlight KO in the opposite corner... more head hunting efforts enforce the Aussie high-guard but it's only a tease as Scabbia's eyes are glued on the opening to the midriff... and unlike Frankie Bridge, there's nothing accidental with the MONSTER hook to the liver that cuts Minogue's resilience short just short of the two minute mark.... the huntress and the prey... Senchenko pulling a Hatton ON Ricky Hatton... Dannii groans out in pain but before her shriek loses it's steam, SHE'S DOWN ON HER KNEES and holding her aching gut... Cristina begins to conduct to the crowd and the metal opera is officially on! Minogue falls flat to her face and simply can't embrace the internal pain anymore. Only a girl with 8 wins in 9 fights can deliver a beating like that! Make that nine wins in ten fights now! KO6 Cristina Scabbia!!!

AFTER: Kate Abdo doesn't know whether to call this result an upset or not, the FCBA shark pool can spit out the BBU's finest and the Lacuna Coil leader remains one of the most fearsome flyweight operators on this side of the Atlantic regardless of the Ksenia Solo and Alicia Vikander overseas heroics. Perhaps Dannii simply took this fight for granted, Amanda Holden was never the ideal rehearsal for such a high-calliber follow up and let's be honest, if Cristina was like 10 years younger, she's be Jenna Coleman's biggest BBU rival right now. Instead, she might be best placed to hand Emma Bunton a brutal revenge beating in the foreseeable future. Yes, it seems astonishing but the former Spice Girl is the only BBU fighter that actually managed to silence the Italian metal tune over the years. Considering Bunton's terrible slump as of late, the rematch prospects look gruesome for the Brit and Kate Abdo wonders what can stop Scabbia from forcing that route really soon? With the Latin Union backing gone, the raven-haired dynamo is free to steer clear from the FCBA and focus her skills on dominating the BBU flyweight corps instead.
