Janel Parrish (Pretty Little Punchers) v Roxanne Pallett (Kears Kats)

27 year old Janel has taken some nasty punishment in her short SSB career, and has only won once, and now takes on British actress Roxanne, the 33 year old, who has done better in SSB than she ever did in BBU, where she was something of a jobber, and even lost twice to Samia Ghadie.
 
Roxanne’s first into the ring, in a baby blue bikini with matching gloves and boots, and she’s soon joined by Janel in a black silk outfit, with white gloves and boots.
 
Round 1
 
Both girls are asking questions early in the fight, Roxanne keeping herself cosy behind her left jab, whilst Janel’s a little more aggressive, and she’s already landing a few hooks in Roxanne’s ribcage, the older girl using her experience to clinch up and hold, making the referee work to keep the girls apart.  Each time he resets them, Janel pops Roxy’s head back with her jab, but the Brit’s standing her ground, getting the worst of things in mid round, but she comes back well, and the final minute is hers as she gives Janel some punishment around her ribs, the younger girl ending the round poorly, but overall, it was hers.

Round 2
 
And Roxanne looks like she’s building on her energetic finish to the opening round, as she moves Janel around, giving her some crushing punches to her body.  Janel lacks the ringcraft to take the sting out of Roxy, and she’s getting punished on the ropes now, the Brit really giving her a working over as she switches her attack from body to face, then back again, and Janel’s wilting under the pressure of this, her body arching over, and Roxy’s stabbing her face with cheeky little uppercuts, Janel getting some nasty punishment, the girl’s nose leaking a little blood – she’s trying to fight back, but Roxanne shrugs her off and hits her again, pressing her to the ropes, and surely only bell saved Janel from being knocked down.
 
Round 3
 
It’s all Roxanne Pallett as the round starts, and she’s just working Janel around the ring, giving the younger girl some heavy punishment to her ribcage again, classic softening up tactics from the wily Brit here, as she takes advantage of Janel’s inexperience, and she’s got the girl in big trouble, pinning her to the ropes and unloading on her, banging her head backwards with some solid jabs and crosses, leaning in on her as she tries to put her away – but Janel’s punching her way out of trouble, and she turns Roxanne around in the closing seconds, and smacks her hard with three big right hooks, leaving her looking sorry for herself at the bell -  Roxanne still wins the round, but she tasted Janel’s punches late on in the round.
 
Round 4
 
And Janel’s been encouraged and she’s digging Roxanne with her right jab again, the older girl looking shocked as she does her best to cover, Janel undoing her a little with a couple of uppercuts, and this is making Roxy hang on, clinching in to slow Janel down,  The referee parts the girls, and they trade shots, Roxanne landing a sweet 1 – 2, and pressing Janel back, but the younger girl fights back, and swats Roxy with that right hook again, rocking her, and sending her into retreat, hurting her with a hard shot to the belly, and another right hook – and Roxanne’s cut! Janel’s right hook has opened Roxy’s left cheek, and she’s giving the Brit a beating in her own corner, blood spraying around, and Roxanne just about withstands the punishment, although she looks messy as she sits down.
 
Round 5
 
Roxanne’s been cleaned up, but Jane’s soon getting tucked into action, and she’s moving well, making Roxanne defend and cover, the older girl playing for time, protecting her damaged cheek, so that the youngster can’t really press on with her advantage, and Roxanne’s fighting back as well, bopping Janel with some neat combinations, and confusing her, because she was in control – but late in the round Janel’s reopened that cut, and she’s thudding some hard jabs on Roxanne’s cheek, making Roxanne squeak as she has her backed up to the ropes again, ending the round on top, with blood trickling down Roxy’s face.
 
Round 6
 
The pace of the fight is beginning to slow as the girls start to tire, and Janel’s beginning to take punishment from the older actress, who uses her experience, protects her damaged face, and sends the younger girl backwards, and she’s not letting her go, just bangs punches into her ribs as she keeps her static on the ropes, and now she’s firing in the uppercuts, and Janel’s hurt, her head on a floppy neck, and Roxanne gives her a left hook, and a right, and that’s knocked the girl down.  Janel survives, stays on her knees until the count reaches 7, then gets up, but she looks dizzy, and Roxanne gives her some heavy punishment to her body again, taking all the wind out of the kid, but she doesn’t finish her off.
 
Round 7
 
Janel’s slow to resume, and maybe she doesn’t fancy this any more?  Because she’s offering very little now as Roxanne lands another good shot on her ribs, her gloves dropping, and she’s a sitting duck now as Roxy puts her down again, a left hook to the jaw putting Janel on her back, and she isn’t getting up from that!
 
Result:  Roxanne Pallett knocked out Janel Parish in round 7.
 
Janel just couldn’t keep the pressure on Roxanne in this fight, and she was too weak in the end for a girl who just kept going.  Roxanne’s strutting around like she’s a contender in the ring, and she’s challenging Brenda Song to a fight!
