Alesha Dixon (Beevers Babes) v Rosario Dawson (IFFI)

Next up is a clash between two veterans of the bantamweight division, with 37 year old Rosario taking on a Brit who’s just a few days away from 38.
 
Rosario’s wearing a white bikini with matching gloves and boots, while Alesha’s wearing a gold coloured bikini, black boots, and white gloves.  And it’s clear that these girls don’t like each other very much.
 
Round 1
 
The girls prance around a little, before Alesha gets in closer and starts to rock Rosario with her left jab, but Rosario isn’t stepping backwards, and she gives Alesha some good shots to her ribs to slow her down a little, Alesha trying to get her punches over the top of Rosario’s guard, but getting little success, and Rosario thumps Alesha’s boobs – which has upset her, and the singer drives forwards, landing a left and a right on Rosario’s cheeks, and giving her one to the flank as well to follow.  Rosario snarls back, and gives the Brit another raking hook to the body, then two more to the face, and Alesha’s holding.  The referee gets the girls apart, and Alesha comes at Rosario quickly, knocks her backwards, and has her set back against the turnbuckle as the bell ends the opening round, with Alesha looking like she took it, although Rosario doesn’t look fazed.


Round 2
 
The action continues, with Rosario getting into a good rhythm, her right cross looking a dangerous punch for Alesha as it spears into her mouth and nose, but the singer protects herself well, and starts to fight back, landing sweet right hooks in Rosario’s ribcage, but the New Yorker tags Alesha with a lovely left hook, sending her stuttering backwards to the ropes, and now she unloads on the Brit, giving her some hard punches to her head and her ribs, stands back, and lifts the singer’s head up with a left, then thuds another into her liver, Alesha in trouble, bleeding from her nose, but she’s clinching, and from the restart after the referee gets involved, she tags Rosario, and sends herback across the ring with a couple of jabs and a nice right hook, follows her, but takes a pair of good punches to her face, and another right cross to her mouth on the bell as she sags a little.

Round 3
 
Rosario comes off her stool looking for Alesha, and she finds her straight away, lands a left and a right on her face, and that’s put the Brit backwards, her nose bleeding already in this round, and as Rosario lands another good right hand on her ear, Alesha reels away, but clips the actress with a left and a right to greet her when she gets in closer, and now she gives her a couple of good punches to her body, Rosario looking uncomfortable as the Brit switches her attack a couple of feet higher, and punches her to the face with three, four punches, with Rosario failing to reply.  Alesha’s measuring the actress up here now, and she gets past her gloves with another left and right, but this time she takes a couple back as Rosario recovers a little, hits Alesha to the liver again, but finds the Brit able to stand and trade, and it’s Alesha again getting on top, landing a right hook on Rosario’s jaw, and that’s sent her sideways to the ropes, where she defends neatly as Alesha throws leather, much of it landing on gloves and arms, but she’s taken the round this time.
 
Round 4
 
The girls circle each other now, but Alesha soon breaks that up and moves forwards, giving Rosario a left jab again, but Rosario gives her two of the same, Alesha jabbing the actress again, but she gets knocked backwards as Rosario gives her a left and a right, then two more lefts, and now it’s Alesha going backwards, Rosario working her into the ropes, and she lifts her head with a short uppercut to her chin, then swats her across the lips with a right hook,  Alesha’s clinching again, but the referee soon parts her from the actress who hits her some more, getting her punches past Alesha’s defensive gloves easily, and she’s hurt her again with a right hook, lands a good left to her body, then it’s the right hook again, and she’s put Alesha down.  The Brit gets to her feet at a shaky 7, and Rosario lands again, has her opponent on the ropes, and she seems to be getting home with her right hook again, with Alesha’s left eye beginning to close, and at the bell she looks like she’s feeling sorry for herself.
 
Round 5
 
Now Rosario looks like a girl in a hurry, and she pings Alesha’s head backwards, left, right, left, the singer staggering now, her left eye almost closed, and the referee’s looking concerned, standing close as Rosario hurts her again, Alesha clinching, Rosario pushing her as the referee separates the girls, and he asks, “Are you OK to continue?” to Alesha who nods, and he looks at Rosario, who snaps, “Don’t you dare stop it! She’s mine!”  As if to prove her point, Rosario hits Alesha again with a left to the body, then with a right, and she sends her back to the canvas with a left to the jaw, Alesha trying to get up, but she collapses onto her face at 7, and gets counted out.
 
Result:  Rosario Dawson knocked out Alesha Dixon in round 5.
 
Rosario put in a good performance tonight, and she gave Alesha quite a beating through rounds 4 and 5, the Brit’s losing streak continuing, and she’s looking forlorn on her stool, her left eye shut, her nose bleeding, and it might get worse for her, because Rosario Dawson’s in her corner, and she’s pulling her up by her hair, Alesha’s corner doing nothing to prevent their girl from being dragged across the ring on her knees, and now she’s got Rosario pushing her head down, Alesha’s face on the American’s boots, and she kisses the victor’s feet, beaten again, humiliated again, the Thorne sisters watching and laughing as their former slave sobs as Rosario leaves the ring.
