Gemma Atkinson (Beevers Babes) v Milena Govich (Floydian)

Critics are curious as to why Gemma has taken this fight, against a semi retired former champion who hasn’t won for 4 years, but who has always packed a punch.  Defeat for Gemma could destroy her title ambitions, but a win for her will prove nothing.
 
The girls are in the ring, Gemma stunning in a yellow bikini with matching gloves and boots, with Milena in a black one piece with red gloves and boots – and she looks menacing!
 
Round 1
 
Awat the girls go, and it’s Gemma landing the leather in the opening seconds, already finding a punch to stagger the brunette, who goes backwards, and covers up as she feels rope on her back, Gemma coming for her, sensing a quick finish to her evening’s work, and she thuds a good jab and hook combination to the older girl’s face, but then she misses with another hook, and pays the penalty, as Milena hits her to the face with a sweet combination, gets off the ropes, and turns her, and now Gemma’s backed into the ropes, and she’s eating leather – she’s hurt and holding on as the former champion tees off on her. And maybe the doubters are being proved right, as Milena hits Gemma again when the referee separates the women, Gemma bruising around her left eye, but fighting back now, landing a left uppercut to stun Milena, who had the better of the opening round.
 
Round 2
 
Both of these girls can hit – and they trade shots immediately, Milena again hurting Gemma with a right hook, but the blonde hits back just as hard, both girls going for it in the centre of the ring, giving and taking big hits, abut Gemma’s landing the more accurate punches now, and she nails Milena with a left hook, then a right cross, and the brunette’s staggering backwards, gloves upside her head, with Gemma still looking to knock her out, her corner shouting for her to go lower, and she reluctantly hits Milena to the body, clearly annoyed that her raw power hasn’t done the job on the ageing former champion, who now looks intent on surviving, maybe hoping that Gemma will punch herself out, but there’s no sign of that as the blonde hits her ribs, and whistles a left uppercut past her nose, Milena missing the opportunity of fighting back as she concedes the round.
 
Round 3
 
Milena starts the round well, lands a jab, then hits Gemma to the ribs, but the blonde’s giving her some nasty punishment back, hitting her to the body, and those shots to the fleshier parts of her torso are clearly causing her distress, the brunette again, having to cover, as Gemma presses her back, doing her best to stop the punches from landing, but as the round goes on, she’s shipping more and more punishment, as Gemma lays into her body, getting the former champion’s guard down, tiring her, weakening her, and now hitting her to the face, swatting the hapless 39 year old, and as the bell rings for the end of round three, it’s clear that Gemma is completely dominant now, and surely Milena can’t take much more.
 
Round 4
 
Again the girls are trading, but Milena’s not having any effect on Gemma now, whilst Gemma again hurts the brunette, landing a couple of jabs and a booming left hook, following up and sending the American to her corner, but again she’s been frustrated as Milena protects herself solidly, Gemma finding it hard to unpick her defence unless the brunette wants to fight, rather than survive, but she finds a way, crunching in a right uppercut, which has Milena on the wobble, splayed against the ropes, and Gemma gives her another of the same, and that’s put her down – down and out! There’s no need for a count.
 
Result:  Gemma Atkinson knocked out Milena Govich in round 4.


Gemma seems satisfied with her win, and she hugs a badly dazed Milena after the fight, ruffles her hair, and tells her, “Thanks for trying, babe! I always liked you!”
