TESS VALMORE
SOLO/LEVY This bout belonged to Levy as she dominated the fight as long as it lasted. Solo managed to take only the second round. By the fourth round, the handwriting was on the wall. Solo wasn’t going much further as Levy had her hurt and wobbly. Midway through the fifth Levy landed a right hook and the bout was over
DENNINGS/BLEDEL The fight was even at the end of four. In the fifth, Dennings got on track and poured on the punishment, but Bledel hung in there and took the punishment, surviving the round. In the sixth, Dennings body work set up a right hook that send Bledel down and out
FINNIGAN/RUAH Once again the bout was even at the end of two. It wouldn’t go much further. In the third, Ruah missed with a left hand but followed up with a right that landed clean and Finnigan went down for the count
ARTERTON/HEARD Heard did much better than expected in the early going. She won three of the first four rounds to open a two point lead. Arterton closed that lead by winning rounds five and six. In the seventh, Arterton hurt Heard several times to take the lead. Arterton continued to have the upper hand in the seventh, finally landing a right that sent Heard down. Heard could only make it to her knees by the time the count reached ten
WAGNER/UTGAARD I noticed that one publication called Utgaard the next Kate Upton. Does that meant that Upton is already on the way out? I doubt that, To the fight. As is usual, the bout was even at the end of two. Everhart took the lead by winning the third. The bout didn’t go much further, as in the fourth Utgaard landed a big right hand and Everhart went down and out
MORRISON/PINK Not much difference in size and age, but a huge difference in experience and record. Morrison had won 33% of her fights while Pink had won 87% of hers although Pink’s record was mainly against second or third tier opponents. Morrison won the first fight between these two, but was the underdog. Morrison won the first two rounds and still had a one point lead at the end of five. Pink evened the fight by taking the sixth. In the seventh, Morrison dropped Pink with a right hand. Pink managed to get to her feet. Morrison then went on a punching spree. Pink looked like she was all defensive, threw nothing back and the referee stopped the fight. The second straight big upset Pink has suffered in her last two bouts. That is raising eyebrows
