BBU RYDER CUP PPV

BEFORE: Nadia Forde remains unbeaten in BBU competition and acts as Ireland's top lightweight hope now that Ulster's Christine Bleakley enjoys being a full-time WAG over in America. She stopped the high-flying latest Playboy Pet of the Month Kelly Gale back in May and before that she knocked out a dangerous floater Sarah Harding of Girls Aloud fame. These are two top-shelf results and but for the Ryder Cup pride on the line tonight, Emmy Rossum would have been viewed as a complete outsider to halt Forde's giant-killing run. On the other hand, the Technetium Europe backed American has enjoyed modest BBU success winning three of six before trying her chances on home soil where she was knocked out by Taylor Swift back on her FCBA debut.

Denise van Outen thinks that Emmy simply doesn't have that evil edge about her and is suspect to crumbling under pure aggression coming from the opposite side. She downed veterans Berenice Marlohe & Natalie Mendoza is her last two outings on this side of the pond but Forde represents a huge jump in quality however there are no easy fights under the Ryder Cup billing! Azealia Banks gave the USA a head-start and let's see if the fellow New Yorker can follow suit and wrap the series for the visitors here. Erin Andrews believes Nadia's due a maiden loss on her record but Denise van Outen keeps her fingers crossed that the series will only be settled in the Ellison/Aldridge Main Event!

Nadia Forde wears a green one-piece swimsuit with a white shamrock carved from the breasts down to the navel area and orange gloves. Long dark brown hair tied in a sleek ponytail. Emmy Rossum wears a Stars & Stripes themed one-piece swimsuit with red gloves and blue boots. Long dark brown hair tied in a curly ponytail. The fight is scheduled for ten rounds in the lightweight division.

Round 1:
Rossum's an inch taller than the fellow brunette and that's a welcomed change after she was somewhat undersized against the slender but towering Swift. However one can't buy confidence and that's one area the American lacks the jump start on her opponent which triggers instant Irish rush that results in plucky jabs getting stuck into Emmy's body from the get-go. Nadia doesn't want to bide her time here and forces her rival into a quick dink-and-duck escape but the sheer work rate of the younger girl makes the difference and Rossum gets picked off repeatedly before even setting a foot on offense. She finally manages to build a proper jabbing series that catches the Irish lass on the torso but there's nothing upstairs to follow and Emmy's biggest success in the opener is the fact she avoided getting trampled back to the ropes under all that shamrock attack.

Round 2:
Nadia keeps harassing the American in close range but Emmy's high guard decides to show up and neutralizes the Irish rush for most of the opening minute before a solid counterpunching drill snaps Forde's head back after sticking a couple of juicy hooks spot on target. Nadia groans briefly but refuses to step back; Emmy drives an uppeercut to the boobs seeking more progress but has to soak up a whirlwind hook on the lips and the war of attrition script is abandoned at the last moment when both girls think better of it and clinch each other into a stalemate. Not much action after that either and Nadia seems a little more concerned about the American's prospects, she must have really felt that shot to the boobs and Emmy's stone-faced look raises a few eyebrows around Wembley too.

Round 3:
Emmy awaits another Irish assault but Nadia prefers to hang back which is questioned by Denise van Outen. Not every American will dominate an undefeated BBU upstart and perhaps Rossum's fight vs Taylor Swift got too much attention in Nadia's Dublin-based gym ahead of the Ryder Cup showpiece. Forde looks at her best while hassling her opponents around the ring but the huntress mode is absent in the third while Emmy seems happy to tease & fake some routs before waking off into mid range. A cagey stuff in the third that is mercifully cut short by the bell.

Round 4:
Regular Beevers' head coach Denise Lewis arrives in Forde's corner before the fourth - all hands on deck for the sake of the Cup - and Nadia's back to her harassing self which immediately gets the Wembley crowd going too. The steady uptempo swinging catches the New Yorker on the temples a couple of times but Emmy's pushover looks can fool a fighter or two as she keeps standing tall on her feet and launches her counter-assault to a great extent. She smacks the younger brunette on the nose and leans on her with more midriff-busting jabs thereafter. Nadia's low guard becomes suspect as Rossum thrives too much while punching to the body and come the bell it's the Irish starlet who deploys the clinching survival tactics.

Round 5:
Rossum tries to push forward with an aggressive jabbing series but Nadia dekes around on her feet and loops a counter-punching response herself, it's a very even contest between the lightweights here but Denise van Outen thinks Forde's recipe for success remains in her offensive approach and the fact Emmy thrives on the similar concept on her own, is actually bad news for the European fanbase. The lack of a truly big punch keeps the eventual outcome of this bout at anyone's guess while Forde doesn't channel her hitherto impressive power supply as efficiently as expected. However she dismisses the American's efforts and thumps her on the nose late; Emmy becomes a little discouraged after that but shows signs of elite durability which is vital in it's own right.

Round 6:
The see-saw battle continues and Denise van Outen becomes really worried as Nadia's aggressive bite finds the New Yorker's high guard far too often while too many Rossum punches find their way on target. Forde loses her focus and aims exclusively upstairs while Emmy circles back and settles into her mid distance comfort zone. She loops repeated single-hand jabs and keeps the Irish lass scowling in her tracks before a nasty cross hook nails the younger girl on the nose and reels her back. A slight injection of pace allows Rossum to clobber the tits and force Nadia into desperate cover but a lenghty wrestling stalemate fails to bear fruit even though Emmy's resilience begins to take over the command. Denise Lewis is genuinely annoyed at the bell and throws thunder looks at the Irish girl who's destined to endure her toughest BBU test to date.

Rounds 7 & 8:
Things are getting really tight now as Nadia's fitness regime is called into question; the Irish girl hasn't been past the sixth round in her relatively short BBU career while Emmy's durable presence clearly comes to the fore. The New Yorker repeatedly beats the fellow brunette to the punch during the two-round spann and seems to be gaining critical momentum in terms of the eventual result. She doesn't quite land that really punishing strike but the sheer production level overwhelms Nadia and sends her into a crowd-bemusing retreat. Erin Andrews takes over the lead commentary during Rossum's push for daylight between the two brunettes and by the time Forde sticks a gut-wrenching hook on the American's solar plexus late in the eight, it's too little too late to make any difference allthough the grimace on Emmy's face at the end still gives Denise van Outen hope the Ryder Cup is not all lost here.

Round 9:
Denise Lewis is out of ideas how to ignite Forde's leather rush but the Irish girl comes out firing like she realizes she needs to knock the American out to maintain her perfect BBU record. Rossum's happy to sit back and channel her familiar counter-punching tactics and she does a great job in avoiding the Irish aerial attack that suggests Nadia's spirits remain high but the actual performance does not. Apparently Emmy only needs to ride out the remaining six minutes to put the Cup out of the Europeans' reach but van Outen disagrees with Andrews' statement and gushes in delight when the long-absent body attack finally drives the New Yorker into the corner but Nadia's momentum is halted when she accidentally headbutts the older brunette and forces the referee to pause the action. Emmy dekes to the left after the command and Nadia's fruitless pursuit makes the headbutt even more regrettable at this crucial stage of the fight.

Round 10:
Forde's pride alone enables her to keep her slim hopes of victory alive accordng to Erin Andrews but Rossum's cautious riding out approach backfires early in the tenth as the Irish leather rush stacks her up on her heels in the center of the ring before a well-timed hook bursts into the solar plexus and cripples the American on jelly knees! On comes the dark-haired shamrock! She bulldozes her way into the fellow brunette's tits and makes her scream out in pain before slicing her upstairs and tagging the jaw in the proccess. Emmy hasn't looked this vulnerable for a long time and she fails to fend off the Irish rally and falls butt-in-ropes with Nadia adding more facial punishment to dissect the guard and snap the New Yorker's head back & forth. Rossum tries to survive behind a high earmuff but doesn't have the stamina and agility to ride it out and gets clobbered into stupor along the ropes with the ref probably being the only person inside Wembley - aside from Erin Andrews in the booth - who's willing to give the American the benefit of the doubt. Nadia keeps punshing her dejected foe hand over fist but simpy runs out of time to send her down for the count and even blasting a couple of cruel hooks on the banged up cheeks after the final bell doesn't cut it anymore. Rossum has indeed survived the Irish punchfest in the final round and escapes the bout looking slightly worse to wear, a deep gash over the left eye looks particulary gruesome but she's done her job alright and the late Forde comeback might have happened TOO late... Denise van Outen doesn't know what will the scorecards look like and here we go then...

After ten rounds of boxing we go to the scorecards... the judges score the bout 97-98, 98-97 and 98-96 for your winner through SPLIT decision... Nadia Forde!!!

AFTER: Emmy looks shellshocked when her opponent's arm is raised in the air and Erin Andrews is speechless in the booth as well... this ain't an obvious Robbery Of The Year Candidate but two judges didn't award the American a single round aside from the obvious sweep in the seventh & eight! Talk about the luck of the Irish here! Nadia looks relieved rather than satisfied with her performance while Emmy just stares at the ref like he had anything to do with the judges' scorecards. The Ryder Cup isn't all wrapped up yet and Denise van Outen admits Europe dodged a huge bullet here with the split decision victory. If the fight was held on the other side of the Atlantic, no way Forde would be the last woman laughing.

Admittedly both women share a warm hug after the fight and Nadia offers the unlucky New Yorker a rematch opportunity "at any time she wants it" but Rossum keeps shaking her head and simply can't understand how exactly she lost this fight when she was seemingly in total control until the final round collapse gave the judges a late excuse to keep Nadia's unbeaten record alive. There will be questions asked about this results for the rest of the season and only time will tell whether it has any long-standing effects on Forde's lightweight title hopes too.

Final result: Nadia Forde def. Emmy Rossum - Split Decision.
Ryder Cup: Europe 1 USA 1.
