BEFORE: It's fair to wonder why such a lacklustre performer like Katherine Jenkins gets invited to the high-profile International Jewels PPV but Georgie Thompson wisely points out that classical music is VERY popular in Japan and the Welsh blonde might yet find work outside the ring during her extended stay in the Far East.

Meanwhile Sayumi Michishige is a hot prospect straight out of the J-pop school of arts, the former Morning Musume band leader vows to dazzle the partisan Tokyo Dome crowd on her debut and Front Street Japan owner Ayako Hamada is really high on the 27 year old newcomer. Sayumi's ex-bandmate Rika Ishikawa works as her special adviser tonight alongside full-time trainer Kei Mizutani.

Sayumi Michishige wears a red bikini set and white gloves. Long black hair tied in a sleek ponytail. Katherine Jenkins wears a white one-piece swimsuit with the Welsh red dragon painted on the right side of her torso and golden gloves. Long blonde haired tied in a braid wrapped into a bun at the back of her head. The fight is scheduled for ten rounds in the flyweight division.

Round 1:
Many BBU TV viewers wonder if this is just a gold-digging rush from Jenkins who hasn't won since July 2012 and the early return is equally woeful as the blonde fails to embrace the rookie's aggressive jabbing aided by an uptempo footwork and gets clobbered back into the corner come the one minute mark gasping in visible struggle. Meanwhile Sayumi barks in her efforts to flood the pretty Welsh girl with as many clean hits as possible and she snaps Kat's head back repeatedly during the second minute before bursting into her midsection thereafter. This is just a wholesale attack from the rookie and the Tokyo crowd is handed a nice little snack for breakfast here in the opener. Jenkins just stands there in the corner and tries to swing any sort of reply at her hot-paced opponent but gets scythed across the mouth late in the going and slumps onto the turnbuckle gasping for air with Sayumi looking to sink one shot deep into her guts again however she runs out of time to make it count.

Round 2:
Jenkins tries to hang back in mid distance and floats around the ring briefly but Michishige tracks her down and resumes the facial assault to sink the woeful blonde into more painful spasms, Kat misfires badly in her putrid efforts to halt the Japanese flooding but the gets caught on the jaw clean and wobbles into a riffle-like hook on the temple THAT SIMPLY RAGDOLLS HER TO THE CANVAS to bring early joy for the local female boxing fanatics! Georgie Thompson can't say she didn't expect this outcome and poor Welsh singer sits down on her heels while taking a full eight count. She's back onto her feet moments later and nods back to the referee only to find Sayumi's punches tearing into her face immediately after the command; the J-pop starlet rips some noteworthy juice from point-blank range and the pre-fight concerns about her being effectively a strawweight are quickly dashed as she barges the struggling blonde butt-in-ropes and hammers into her midriff come the final minute to leave Jenkins crying out for mercy at the bell and well, this is simply a blow out which questions Katherine's immediate BBU future!

Round 3:
The Welsh girl may start looking at the Tokyo opera schedule now as she barely avoids quitting on the stool but gets wrapped up in another Michishige jabbing rush early in the third which simply destroys her otherwise mediocre guard and enables the brunette to haul in more clean facial strikes that freeze the older singer out in the center of the ring completely by the one minute mark. Jenkins' arms collapse by her side as she soaks up all the leather heat but once her eyes bawl out into the orbit, it's obvious she just can't take it anymore and Sayumi mercifully brings this one-sided beatdown to a close with a right hook on the chin THAT LAYS THE BLONDE FLAT OUT ON HER BACK. KO3 Sayumi Michishige!!!

AFTER: All credit to Front Street Japan's owner Ms Hamada for handing her J-Pop upstart such an easy rookie passage into BBU! Sayumi simply beat into the fellow singer like a drum and pretty much derailed whatever is left from Jenkins' once so-promising career. However things can only get tougher from here and Georgie Thompson catches on a rumour that indicates Hamada wants long-time Sugababes member Keisha Buchanan as Sayumi's next opponent!
