TESS VALMORE

Once again, it is time for our much maligned top ten lightweights and welters. Our rankings differ from our good friends at Boxing World in that we require for a fighter to be ranked, to fight at least every third PPV or ninety days, which is longer. We will not permit a fighter to sit on a ranking by being inactive. We also put great emphasis on competition. A long winning streak against competition that seldom fight and seldom win will not get you very far, while a 55% win ratio against top competition will. Many times the champion is not ranked number one. It is not unusual for the champion to be clearly not the best fighter in the division

LIGHWEIGHTS

1 BLAKE LIVELY. She beat Gadot in the August PPV. It was a bout that will go down in infamy as she chose to defend against the 162nd ranked lightweight

2.. ODETTE YUSTMAN. Beat Dakota Johnson in the September PPV. Has won nine of her last twelve. Stays at two

3. KATY PERRY. Defeated Winstead in the August PPV. Remains at three

4. MISSY PEREGRYM KOed Kaley Cuoco in the August PPV. Her record for the year is now 5-1-1. Moves up to four

5. YVONNE STRAHOVSKI Beat Jeri Ryan in the August PPV. Has won five of her last seven. Moves back up to five

6. MARY ELIZABETH WINSTEAD. Lost two of three this year. This lady fights the best. Her losses were to Yustman and Perry Last fought in August

7. BROOKLYN DECKER. Hasn’t fought since July. Must fight this month either in the PPV or at the Asylum or she will be removed from the rankings

8. DANIELA RUAH Beat Jennifer Finnigan in September. Has won six straight although the competition is not top notch. She must step up the quality of opponents to stay ranked

9. TAYLOR SWIFT Enters the rankings for the first time. She is the most active fighter by far, winning eleven of thirteen bouts this year. Her stay in the top ten may be short lived, as she last fought in July and must fight this month

10 SERINDA SWAN She has won seven straight including winning the Queen of the Ice Hotel title from Rohrbach

WHO DROPPED OUT

JESSICA BIEL Inactivity Last fight was in June

ANNA TORV Inactivity. Last fight was in June

ON THEY WAY UP

ADRIANNE PALICKI A long time top ten member is back from a period of inactivity. She beat Heatherton in September. She will make things interesting

MIRANDA KERR

KENDALL JENNER

WELTERWEIGHTS

There has been an influx of new welters most of whom are yet to make an impact, but this months rankings include two new members as the older and seldom used welters, who were at one time ranked, disappear into the history books

1. AMANDA RIGHETTI She lost her title to Upton in the September PPV, but remains at number one as the welter to whom all others are compared

2. KATE UPTON Won the title in the September PPV. Undoubtedly,  the most popular fighter in the FCBA. Has specialized in JMDD, but has won her last six conventional bouts. I believe she already has a defense lined up for the October PPV

3. BRIDGET REGAN Hasn’t fought since losing a title fight to Righetti in July. Must fight this PPV or drop out.

4 GEMMA ATKINSON Won her fourth in a row by beating Govich in the September PPV. Her only losses in the last year were to Righetti and Upton

5. LEELEE SOBIESKI Has won eight of her last nine. Her last fight was in July. She must fight this month or drop out of the rankings.

6 KESHA Has won six straight with Bloodgood and Rihanna being her latest victims. He last fight was it the August Asylum

7 PAULA PATTON The veteran journey woman jumped in the rankings due to Her KO of Nolin in the September PPV

8 GENA LEE NOLIN Drops to eight after her loss to Patton. That loss has attracted challenges from other welters seeing her as a likely win

9. MICHELLE RYAN This sometimes lightweight has won all three of her fights at welter this year including wins over Romjin and Henstridge. It enough to boost her into the rankings for the first time

10. KARLIE KLOSS I am going out on a mile long limb here. She young and she is big. She won the New Blood tournament by KOs before the end of the seventh round. She may face a big hurdle if a bout with Utgaard is made for
the upcoming PPV, We shall see

WHO DROPPED OUT

CASSIDY FREEMAN Inactivity. I see she may have a bout in the upcoming PPV and expect to see her back in the next rankings
