BEFORE:

"Oh, I've been itching to get back in the ring," says Minnie with a smile. "But, you know, you roll in here and knock off Cat Bell and your phone stops ringing. Well. It finally rang. But, after tonight, it might well be awhile before it rings again."

"She's a smart fighter," says Anna with a nod. "Strong. Can hit. No question you have to be on your game against her. And, I'm on mine."

ROUND ONE:

O'Dell: "We're back at ringside and that's..."

McCarthy: "WHAT IS THAT AWFUL SCREECHING????"

Cassie: "And, our resident music critic is at it again..."

McCarthy: "That's HORRIBLE. That's AWFUL. That's..."

O'Dell: "'Everything I've Got In My Pocket', which, by the by, hit the Top 40 in the UK, and the singer of said song, Minnie Driver, wearing a revealing Minnie Mouse costume, is on her way to the ring."

McCarthy: "That hit the Top 40? Were there only 39 songs in the WORLD at the time?"

Tess: "Here's the part where we remind everyone that..."

McCarthy: "SHUT UP, WALMART!"

O'Dell: "Drink up, boys, as Minnie climbs into the ring and is helped off with the costume to reveal a sky blue bikini and a body that's been doing plenty of training for this one."

McCarthy: "Again, age ain't nothin' but a number, as I prove every time I wear a bikini."

O'Dell: "And, that's 'The Pain And The Passion' pounding through the arena and that can only man that the lady in that Viking warrior princess costume is 'The Aussie Enforcer', Anna Torv, who headed to the ring."

McCarthy: "One of Front Street's two REAL fighters, and a girl who ought to be fighting for the title after beating Palicki her last time out!"

O'Dell: "Anna taps glove to fist with Mac as usual on her way by the table. She's into the ring and helped off with the costume by Jewel and Neve. Wearing that black two-piece she favors. And, the ladies are about ready. Time for some picks. Tess favors Anna. Mac?"

McCarthy: "Like I said, Torv is a REAL fighter. She's the pick."

O'Dell: "Cassie?"

Cassie: "I agree with Tess!"

O'Dell: "And, there's the bell. Little feeling out going to happen early, and that's no surprise. Might be to Driver's favor, frankly, because she hasn't been in an FCBA ring in a while, and you kind of want to take your time to get your sea legs under you in a situation like that. Torv, though, wants to respect Minnie's power..."

McCarthy: "Absolutely. This is a situation where Anna knows she's a solid favorite and the way to get upset is to make a mistake. So, careful early."

O'Dell: "Lots of jabs and lots of movement in the early going. Driver definitely has some legs under her, ladies. She may not be 25 anymore, but there's no question she can still move. No dancing or anything from either fighter, but a lot of good footwork as they play the angles, work the jab, look to set up rights."

Tess: "The question about Minnie's legs isn't really whether she has them now, but whether she'll have them in the second half of the fight."

O'Dell: "Good point, Tess. But, for the moment, she's not only moving as well as Torv, she's boxing as well as Torv in what's been a good, back-and-forth first round. Driver right at the 130 pound limit, and it seems like coming in lighter has done a body good, so to speak. Ten seconds left in the round and they ladies will jab those away. There's the bell. Close. Anna."

Cassie: "Both fighters have to be pleased. Driver has to be feeling good after knocking off the rust, and Torv grabs the first and gets the recon done."

ROUND TWO:

O'Dell: "Second underway and we're back at range here. Both ladies tall, lanky, like to keep the other fighter out on the edge of their respective punches. And, neither wants to work in close, so both getting what they want without any opposition. Torv getting that heavy Front Street jab on target early, but Driver responding with a hard left of her own."

Tess: "One thing we want to remember here is that Minnie's usually fought at welter. She's got solid power behind everything, including her left hand."

O'Dell: "Torv circles, resets, Driver tries to square. Anna with a good combination and Minnie with one of her own! Best flurry of the fight so far from the British brunette. Driver's getting into a nice rhythm now in the second, and the blonde doing the same. Good ranged boxing happening out there right now."

Cassie: "This is fun if you like a good, tactical boxing match between smart, veteran fighters. And, why wouldn't you?"

O'Dell: "Another good exchange between blonde and brunette. Little smile from Minnie. She's having fun in there and I don't blame her. There's not much I enjoyed more than being in an FCBA ring. It's been awhile for Driver and she's enjoying getting another chance to do it. Ten seconds left in the second round, and, again, the ladies will jab it away. Close again. Driver."

McCarthy: "And, we're even at 19."

ROUND THREE:

O'Dell: "We begin the third the same way we ended the second. Blonde and brunette at range, working their jabs, looking to follow on with right hands. Both moving head, hands, and feet very well. Driver committing a little more on those right hands in this round, looking to back Torv up with them..."

McCarthy: "I expected this. At some point, Minnie's going to try to win this fight with something big. She's not going to box Anna for ten rounds and beat her, and even Driver knows that."

O'Dell: "This may well be the time, or it may be a first sally meant to lay groundwork for a later one. Minnie not getting sloppy, but she IS getting an awful lot of mustard on those right hands. She's definitely getting Anna's attention with the ones that are landing. There's another SOLID right hand from Driver and DOWN GOES MINNIE!"

Cassie (singing) "Turn out the liiiigggghhhhhtssss. The party's ooooovvverrrrrrr...."

O'Dell: "Torv a BLISTERING straight right hand and driver blown right to her back! Minnie's eyes open as she stares up at the referee. Count at three. Four. Five. Six. Lights on, ladies, but there's nobody home at the moment. Eight. Nine. TEN! It's OVER! That quickly, it's over. And your winner by KO3 in one-punch fashion is 'The Aussie Enforcer', Anna Torv!"

Tess: "Talk about welter power. One punch and say good night."

AFTER:

O'Dell: "Let's go up to the ring and Tess Valmore."

Tess: "I have our winner, Anna Torv, and, Anna, that was fast."

Anna (nodding): "Nothing planned or anything, Tess. You have to be careful with a girl who can hit like that, so, the game plan was to box her early. But, she was getting very aggressive, and I figured I'd get an opening or two. I got one."

Tess: "And, you didn't miss it. What's next for you?"

Anna: "Well, the idea is always a title fight, but, that's going to have to wait with the belts around Gemma's waist. So, we'll see."
