TESS VALMORE
STEWART/ROBERTS Roberts trying to get some FCBA exposure decided to take on Stewart. While there are always upsets, her chances of winning were somewhere between slim and none. She did take the first two rounds, but by round 4. Stewart had evened the bout. Roberts again took the lead in the fifth only to run into a Stewart right in the sixth. Done she went. Down for the count.
DRIVER/TORV This bout didn’t last long About seven minutes. Everything was even at the end of two. In the third, a Torv right hand landed right on target and Driver decided to imitate a carpet
GONZALEZ/RUAH The bout was even at the end of two. Ruah took the lead in the fourth by sending Gonzalez down to an eight count. Ruah extended her lead by winning the fifth only to have Gonzalez win the sixth. Ruah still had the lead going into the eighth. Ruah was having the better of the exchanges, when a Gonzalez counter caught Ruah and sent her into the ropes. Gonzalez pounced and unleashed a torrent of punches and the referee stepped in and stopped the fight. A mild upset which will cost Ruah her top ten ranking
SHAHI/MEESTER Stewart who sits at the head of the Asylum flyweight bench gets a severe test having the fight the 130th ranked flyweight. Meester catches Shahi who is ranked at seven. The bout was even at four, however Shahi took the lead by decking Meester in the sixth. Shahi then took the next two rounds to open a big lead. She was still two points ahead going into the final round. Meester needed a knockout. She won the round but didn’t get the knockout and Shahi got a one point decision I have about as much influence at Front Street as I do with the Chicago Cubs, but as far as I am concerned tonights fights should move Meester to the head of the bench
SWAN/REFAELI For the Queen Of The Ice Hotel.. The bout was even at two, even at four. Refaeli went back into the lead by winning round five. It was Swan’s turn to even up the bout in the sixth. She did a little more than even it up. Midway through the round Swan landed a big right hand and Refaeli was toast. Swan retains The Ice Hotel title by a KO
WILDE/PINK Pink desperately needing a win chose to go whole hog and take on the Wilde girl who is the number eight ranked bantam. The bout was even at two, but then Pink took a big lead by winning round three and flooring Wilde in the fourth Wilde closed the lead by taking the next two rounds. The seventh was a draw. In the eighth, Wilde landed a big right that re-opened a big cut over Pink’s left eye. Pink was in big trouble and another Wilde right made the cut worse. The referee halted the fight. A doctor was called and he, after checking the cut, stopped the bout
