BBU FRIDAY NIGHT BOXING

BEFORE: Cher Lloyd's debut versus Jeanette Biedermann was a borderline grudge fight that indicated the brunette newcomer has all the tools to wreck havoc among her flyweight peers. That's bad news for Chelsee Healey who tries to stay relevant as a BBU free agent - which is notoriously difficult - and BBU TV's Anna Woolhouse just doesn't see this upset happening tonight. Chelsee is set to become a regular on the 'Hollyoaks' soap opera starting November 10th so she's covered the free agency front in her day job at least but will it be enough to steal the boxing headlines as well?
The fight is set to take place in the familiar Cardiff Arena HQ but Cher vows to ride a Main Event billing at the Wembley Stadium next time out; that's a gutsy call from the brunette but Healey doesn't look overwhelmed by her opponent's pre-fight bravado at all and we go straight down to business as the girls refuse to touch gloves and need to be separated by the referee who has his hands full even before the opening bell.
Chelsee Healey wears a pink bikini set and white gloves. Long dark brown hair tied in a dyed red half-up ponytail. Cher Lloyd wears a black bikini with neon blue trim and neon blue gloves. Long dark brown hair tied in a curly ponytail. The fight is scheduled for ten rounds in the flyweight division.
Round 1: Chelsee's ready to punish the younger brunette early on but gets stunned by a left cross on the nose and fails to embrace a rushing hook from the other side that catches her on the brow ridge. Cher drives her mitts straight into the older girl's face with gusto and reels Healey towards the ropes where she aims for a chopping cross one more time but bounces off the shoulder and allows the fellow brunette to halt the flooding with a series of up-tempo jabs. Chelsee needs to kick into a higher gear if she's to cause any serious trouble here against the clearly uber-motivated Lloyd but the scattered attacks lose their depth down the stretch and Healey gets stacked butt-in-ropes come the final minute when Cher resumes her agressive approach and thumps more vicious leather upstairs. The war of attrition script rocks Chelsee's confidence but she sticks to her guns and doesn't crumble mentally as Anna Woolhouse briefly anticipated.
Round 2: "C'mon, you bytch!", Cher gets all vocal as she thunders past her foe's high guard and thumps more facial leather to twist & turn the older brunette on her toes. Chelsee tries to deke to the side but doesn't have the light touch available and eats more crisp shots up the alley which slowly reel her towards the ropes again. She loops a series of overhands and briefly tags the singer's temples yet there's not enough power behind those efforts and Cher pounds her against the turnbuckle regardless after a high-octane rally upstairs simply proves too much for Healey to handle. The older brunette bellows out behind a tight earmuff come the final minute and it's only the lack of a proper body assault switch that lets her off the hook as Cher steamrolls through the last thirty odd seconds but still has the actress upright at the bell.
Round 3: "Hollyoaks hires nothing but cream puffs and fake-titted blonde bimbos!", Cher yells at the fellow brunette hoping to tease her into a suicidal attack but even though Chelsee keeps her composure, the singer doesn't need extra motivation to just swing at the actress and wrap her in another close range war of attrition. Apparently Jennifer Metcalfe gave Chelsee some free boxing tips during their work on the TV set but that's nowhere near enough to halt that inner Gypsy attitude that Lloyd is so proud of. If this was 1963 she'd be giving Aliza Gur a good run for the James Bond franchise cast money but for now she has to accept punching Chelsee Healey's pretty face into a pulp! She tags the older brunette's face repeatedly during a phone booth-like exchange and the Mancunian actress wilts under pressure spinning back to the ropes amid a loud shrieking struggle. Cher pins her to the spot and hammers in a left/right combos time and time again so at the bell Healey's face displays a couple of deep cuts under each eye and that mental toughness is very much under a severe test as Chelsee slumps down on her stool with eyes closed and looks to be in some pain already!
Round 4: Chelsee just doesn't have the speed across the boards to escape the Gyspy heat and Cher duly rips through her high guard to stack the 'Hollyoaks' latest addition on her heels before belting her on the liver area and wobbling into a piercing uppercut on the chin. Healey's butt goes all south and Lloyd manages to stick one jab extra that catches the lips AND SENDS THE ACTRESS TUMBLING DOWN ON THE CANVAS!!! Anna Woolhouse admits she saw this coming from miles away but so did just about anyone inside the Cardiff Arena! Healey takes her time in beating the count and tries to look ole' stone face after being asked by the ref if she's good to go yet Cher yells at her: "You're all mine now, c###" so nobody takes the bait and we're back into a Mancunian struggle after the command as Chelsee's pummelled back to the ropes in no time and disappears behind that familiar high guard leaving acres of space downstairs for Lloyd to explore. She hacks in more belly damage and slumps the older brunette sideways on the ropes again but runs out of time to finish her off for good and has to postpone her victory lap... albeit very shortly according to Anna Woolhouse in the booth.
Round 5: Healey's on the verge of breaking down into tears during the interval and one really has to feel sorry for all these free agents battling to stay afloat of the unforgiving celebrity boxing shark pool... oh, wait, isn't Cher a free agent herself? Yup, and she's doing mighty fine here in Cardiff as she rips through the soft Mancunian guard again and snaps Chelsee's head back & forth in the center of the ring until the yelping noise becomes almost unbereable and calls for mercy... Healey shimmy shakes all over the place while getting battered into a KO daze and when her arms drop by the side alltogether, she's just rubber-stumped for eviction from the ring... GET IN THERE... Cher finally terminates the Mancunian resistance by blasting one last hook on Healey's jaw which sends her into the point of no return. Ugh! The actress crumbles down on her back and slumps into semi-consciousness on the spot. The pride of Worcester can start her victory lap in three.. two... one... KO5 Cher Lloyd!!!
AFTER: "If Cheryl Cole is Geordie Power than I'm Gypsy Power!", a smiling Lloyd tells Anna Woolhouse after she's officially declared as tonight's winner. "Heck, this is better than sex! Well, not quite but you know what I mean? X Factor is nothing, this is the real deal! I feel so comfortable punching those girls into a mess! First this blonde bimbo from Germany and now Chelsee 'Plastic Lips' Healey! What a day! What a fight! I'm so excited right now! (...) OK, OK, I sound like a kid who just got a bag of candies but who cares? I won the damn fight! Woo Hoo!! (...) Yup, Wembley Stadium, here I come! They don't want me on the Main Event? Sheesh... if my name was Cheryl they'd be drooling all over my contract! Well, I hope Jesy Nelson is up for a test next? I've been browsing the flyweight roster you know and Jesy and her Foxes' buddy Amelia Lily Oliver both look like totally ready to suffer a proper Gypsy beating! Yup, they sooooo do! Hey, Frankie C., it's your frickin' call now! I don't take 'no' as an answer!"
Final result: Cher Lloyd def. Chelsee Healey KO5.
