Jaime Alexander versus Alessandra Ambrosio

(Girls Friday vs Alpha Boxing Club)

Intro:
Two fighters with good records get it on tonight as they seek to get themselves the big money fights as a win here could get them a high ranked fight, a loss could put them back in the mid pack, clawing away to get noticed. Jaimie comes into this fight with a record of 7 wins, all by knockout and only lost once in her career but that was a title fight nearly exactly a year ago. As Jaimie a rookie at the time, with only 4 wins under her belt, shocked the world by fighting Odette Yustman and took her to overtime to prove some doubters wrong. Alessandra on the other hand has a record of 6 wins, all by knockout herself and 1 loss in her career to Karolina Kurkova in the sixth round.

At the press event, both fighters met up and exchanged a respectful hand shake before they went to sit down at their designated tables. Jaimie was asked to speak first to the media, she started by saying "Wow another tough challenge for me as I have seen your handy work Alessandra”
Alessandra smirks at that comment as Jaimie continues "I also admire that you can be frank but this fight is another step to getting back into that title picture once more so let me be equally honest" Going over to Alessandra, who stands up to meet her future opponent, Jaimie tells the Brazilian to her face "I have to win and that means I have to knock you out to show the world that I belong at the top"

Security stands close in case it explodes into violence but Alessandra actually smiles before replying "if you think I am afraid of you or your reputation, trust me I am the real deal and when I turn you into another victim of my power, I expect to be in that title hunt"

Nudging each other with their foreheads, security is on tenterhooks before each fighter steps back from each other and simply nod to each other as they know where they stand with each other now.
As Jaimie is about to leave, Alessandra tells her "for the record, I have seen your work and have to admit that you are good also but mtomorrow in that ring, I will be the one beating you until you're either saved by the referee or knocked out into the front row!"

Jaimie now smirks as she nods back and replies "we'll see then but don't hold your breath on that prediction" then the girls leave the stage hoping they can back up their talk.

Fight night, out comes Alessandra along with Lauren Berlingeri by her aide and cutwoman Eva Carneiro. Alessandra is wearing a yellow sports bra and shorts with matching gloves and boots as she nods to the crowd with a wide smile on her face. Climbing into the ring, she does a quick lap of the ring pumping her right fist to the crowd to hype them up for this fight, which gets the crowd roaring their support. It doesn't die down as Jaimie comes out with Alyssa Milano and Jennifer Connelly by her side. Jaimie is wearing all black gear in contrast to the vibrant colours of Alessandra, she has a sports bra, shorts, gloves and boots on, as she isn't a flashy fighter but she looks stunning in an attire.

Once she enters the ring, she bows to each side of the ring as the crowd love her back with their cheers before each fighter goes nose to nose in the ring centre. Neither speaks as the time for words seems to be over and now they are focused on beating each other up when that bell rings. Asked to touch gloves, respectfully they do touch gloves as they nod to each other before returning to their corners to get their gumshields in. The referee looks to the timekeeper and signals for the bell to start
10 rounds of lightweight action.

Round 1:
Both fighters are very similar in styles and height, so neither takes a quick advantage over the other early in the round as they square up to throw a few quick punches that land on the others guard. Jaimie though surprises her older opponent by fainting up top before sending a hard straight punch down to the liver area of Alessandra to cause her to grunt loud already. The Brazilian fires back on top and the two start brawling early in as they trade in tight until they bump bodies and clinch up. No fear in the eyes of each fighter for the other and as they separate, each fires a hard straight to the others face nearly at the same moment to snap both fighters heads back. Jaimie wisely decides she needs to change up her tactics somewhat and uses her legs to step around Ambrosio and jab away around the guard. Before she starts firing some heavier shots but when she does, Alessandra meets her head on and the two are in tight once again, beating each other to the body as they rub foreheads together. The referee separates the two and warns both to keep their heads up as he doesn't want a clash of heads to end the fight. Once again Jaimie is quicker to move forwards and throw a jab and right straight to knock Alessandra back a step. But Alessandra doesn't just stand in front of her, instead she leans back out the way of the next punch and counters with a sweet straight of her own to snap Jaimie's head back. Jaimie shakes her head to try to say she wasn't hurt as Alessandra smirks at her, before both square up again to dig in to the others body with not much of the round to go. The bell rings with both in tight but surprisingly they hold back as the bell rings and respectfully separate to go back to their corners. Alyssa looks happy with Jaimie's work rate but warns her to not get caught as easily by the model, Jaimie nods as her face gets washed down. In Alessandra's corner, they are not too worried but Lauren tells her she needs to pick up her own pace but she's not being overawed.

Round 2:
Neither is slow out the corner as they square up again to exchange single punches to each other before Jaimie tries to step forward. But as she does, Alessandra meets her with a hard right hook and Jaimie is unbalanced by that shot as she stumbles and her opponent is on her with a digging left body shot to make her grunt loudly. Jaimie clinches up with Alessandra to get her head cleared and as they are pulled apart, it looks like only a minor scare for her. But Alessandra has the bit between her teeth as she strikes forward with a straight between the guard of Jaimie and goes to the body to try and wear her out. Jaimie fires back once she gets her feet fully under her again, an uppercut rattled Alessandra enough that she slows down her assault. Ambrosio though doesn't let Jaimie breath for too long as she goes down stairs  once more with two hard hooks to drive the air from Alexander's lungs. Continuing forwards, Alessandra works head down and looping hooks around the guard of Jaimie to force her towards the ropes. The referee warns Alessandra about her head as she goes in for the kill but Jaimie isn't as hurt as she hoped and is firing off the ropes with some mean hooks being flung by both fighters in the direction of the other. Some crack into the cheek of the other and both are shook up somewhat by the blows as the ten second warning sounds and both give their all to win the round with fast thrown punches just being laced into faces. The bell rings with both fighters standing for a moment, staring at the other as the crowd are still roaring at the action they are witnessing. Slowly they retreat to their corners with each women needing their corners to stop the swelling on their puffy cheeks before they head out for the next round.

Round 3:
Again neither fighter is so to head out of their corners as they will themselves to shove the other back early. Alessandra started the quicker though as she fought with her head down, guard tight around her head and swung her hooks around the guard of Jaimie to work the body and head. Jaimie was working on the back foot, not her best position as was shown as Alessandra forces her back to the ropes with a hard jab and an uppercut eats through the guard of Alexander. But Jaimie is double tough as she continues to fight off the ropes, both girls in tight, slugging it out to the others body and going to the others head. Jaimie has to clinch though as Alessandra kept using her left to nudge her back to create space to work in. Separated, Jaimie moves into space and continues with her jab, sticking and moving faster now as she knows she needs to hurt Alessandra before she can go to her plan A. Alessandra again shoves Jaimie towards the ropes and the two clash heads as the referee steps between the fighters, checks them over to find no real damage other than maybe pride before he warns both fighters again. Each girl looks at the other with an almost this is your fault look before they are ordered to fight again. Alessandra comes straight at Jaimie once more but Jaimie isn't backing up this time as she presses forward herself to force another brutal slugfest between the two. The bell rings with both girls hoping they've done some real damage and as they look at each other, Jaimie is getting a bruise around her left eye to go with the puffiness of her cheeks. Alessandra doesn't look a great deal better as her nostrils trickle blood and her cheeks are also puffy to show the war they've been in already.

Round 4:
Jaimie sticks more now to get at Alessandra as the two stand and trade more in tight, till Alexander digs two uppercuts under the chin to rattle Ambrosio. Jaimie quickly gets at Alessandra to force her onto the ropes, for the first real time in the fight, Ambrosio is being pressed hard and judging by her face, she isn't enjoying it one bit. Using the jab as a measuring stick, Jaimie is using her head, she knows Alessandra is still too strong to knock out easily, so she works her on the ropes, whenever Alessandra starts to fire off the ropes, Jaimie pinpoints a place to strike like the body of the older fighter to put her back on the ropes. Alessandra has to clinch to get any chance at escaping, Jaimie tries to wrestle free as both fighter grunts as they wrestle each other till the referee separates the two. More blood is flowing from the nose of Alessandra as they separate and she seems worried for the first time this fight as Jaimie tries to press her again towards the ropes. Both are in tight again, shoving each other before letting their hands go in close to cause both to groan under the others assault. Jaimie again presses Alessandra with a nudge with her left shoulder to open her up to the follow up right straight to her left eye. Alessandra manages to sidestep Jaimie to stop herself touching the ropes this time but Jaimie is still on her as the two keep hammering away at each other. Clinching up again, neither girl is going to be doing much tomorrow as they happily take a small break from beating each other. Separated the pace slows down slightly as the two exchange single punches with just under thirty seconds to go. The bell rings and while neither will admit it at the moment, they are gaining more respect for each other by the second but they also are wanting to crush the other even more as their prides begin to overwhelm them. Going back to their corners, each coach is trying to fix up their girl and get them to follow their instructions but both fighters are staring hard at the other.

Round 5:
Each fighter wills themselves to go hard as they circle in the ring centre and lash out with single punches till they feel ready to go at each other hard. Jaimie tries to be that fighter but Alessandra digs to her body to make her grimace then she gets hit across that bruise left eye that causes a small cut to appear just under it. Alessandra knocks Jaimie back with a hard straight to add to her woes and the older fighter is looking to go for the kill by the looks of it. But Jaimie has enough in her legs to move out the way of a charging Alessandra to lash out with her own straight as the two trade over the top of guards with less punches but harder punches. Alessandra lunges forward with two good body shots to back up her opponent, Jaimie grunting under each shot. But Jaimie slams a right hook to Alessandra's left cheek to rattle her and the two clinch up, in the clinch they don't push this time, instead just staring at each other as they can't believe the other hasn't went down yet. Pulled apart this time, both work the body of the other but Alessandra lands a good right to that cut on Jaimie's face to rattle her now. Alessandra knocks her to the ropes and is seeking to end this again but Jaimie is still firing off the ropes to cause frustration in Ambrosio as she nearly bumps heads with Alexander to dig two short body blows in. The bell rings with both girls still punching till the referee warns them to stop, it seems to waken them from their trance of beating the other up. The crowd are roaring for each fighter as they walk back to their corners and slump into their stools to get cleaned up as both are bloodied.

Round 6:
Out come the fighters, both are hurting but they want to get this over with as they fully understand how dangerous the other is. Working on the outside, jabs are thrown by both girls to try to work out how to finish this, Alessandra seems to feel like her early success has given her the advantage over Jaimie. But as she comes forward, Jaimie times it perfectly to step back enough to unbalance Alessandra and dig a straight on to the forehead of Ambrosio. The Brazilian's legs wobble and she stumbles back looking hurt, Jaimie looks to have a small smile at that and comes forward behind her guard. Alessandra is trying to protect herself as Jaimie fires to her body to try and open her up for the knockout punch to follow. Lunging forward to clinch, Alessandra grabs on to Jaimie but is visibly hurt as Jaimie has her left hand free enough to slam short sharp digs to the body to rip more oxygen out of her lungs. The referee separates the two and Alessandra is retreating as fast as her legs can go but Jaimie presses her to the ropes. As Jaimie continues to dig her way through the guard of Alessandra, the ref is in close to watch if the fight should be stopped and evidently Alessandra sees this as she fires back with single punches to keep the fight alive. Jaimie lands a good uppercut late in the round to hurt Alessandra once again and the Brazilian has to hang on for dear life till the bell rings. The referee has to pull Alessandra off of Jaimie as the two sweaty, bloody fighters are locked together. Alessandra's coach Lauren has to help her back onto her stool and quickly is trying to clean her up and revive her enough to come out and fight in the next round. Jaimie is getting cleaned up but she looks ready of the two fighters to drive out of her corner.

Round 7:
As the bell rings, Jaimie does drive forward to get at a retreating Alessandra already, Ambrosio looks to have too much pride for her own good as she flicks out a jab. But Jaimie parries aside the weak jab to slam a right hook to the cheek of Alessandra to wobble her towards the ropes once again. Alessandra maybe not having all her bearings tries to lash out a right hook of her own that hits thin air and Jaime slams a left hook to the unbalanced Ambrosio. Down goes Alessandra to her back, her eyes are open but she has a glazed look over her eyes as Jaimie goes to a neutral corner. The referee begins his count but as he gets late into the count, he waves the fight off as Alessandra hasn't stirred from her back.

Winner: Jaimie Alexander KO Round 7

After:
Jaimie leans against the turnbuckles and raises her arms to celebrate as she thanks the heavens that she found enough to win. Medics rush into the ring to check over Alessandra, who is slowly moving but hasn't the strength to get herself up as Lauren and Eva have to help her up onto a stool to get checked over.

Meanwhile Alyssa and Jennifer rush in to hug Jaimie and lift her up for the crowd to show their support and boy do they as they roar for her.

Being put down, she gets her gloves taken off and she goes over to Alessandra to check she is going to be OK.

Alessandra is still feeling exhausted and in pain but her head is clearing as she nods to Jaimie and tells her "well you kept your word babe"

Jaimie smiles and replies "you almost kept yours, boy do I hurt!"

Which gets a small laugh from Alessandra as she nods. The two hug to show no hard feelings before Alessandra is helped out the ring by Lauren and Eva to a round of applause.

Jaimie waves to the crowd as an interviewer asks for a quick comment from her. She says "Boy was that hard, Alessandra is one tough girl, I feel battered but I am proud to have overcome her challenge and now it's onwards and upwards"

Asked whose next, Jaimie replies "well I need an ice bath first but after that, we will sit down as December is always a big month and so is January, the main goal is that I want the title though so that is what we have to plan for"

Jaimie laughs as the crowd chant "one more shot! One more shot!" And she tears up at the chant and mouths "thank you" to the crowd before Alyssa and Jennifer help her out the ring to her own massive round of applause.
