TESS VALMORE
MEESTER/MARA Mara was in her second FCBA fight going against Meester, who is having a pretty good year. This was kind of a stay busy fight for Meester, who had a tough loss to a very talented fighter in her lost bout. The fight didn’t start off as I expected when Mara floored Meester in the first. The second round, however, didn’t go well for Mara and that is an understatement. About a minute into the round, Meester landed a right counter to Mara’s chin and the fight was over
COOKE/DENNINGS The bout was even at the end of two and even at the end of our. In the fourth, however, Dennings hurt Cooke early and hammered around the rest of the round, but Cooke managed to last the round. She did not last the fifth as Dennngs unleashed a flurry of punches, which were more than Cooke could handle and she went down for the count
STEWART/SHAKIRA Here we go again. Stewart goes against a fighter who is 13 years older, four inches shorter and ranked 100 slots beneath her in Boxing Worlds rankings. How do you really think this fight turned out. Did you expect an upset? Really? The fight went as expected. Shakira lasted about ten minutes before a right hand ended Shakira’s night.
RAMBIN/DRAYTON First, as far as ring attire is concerned these two were both losers. Drayton’s pink and white was bad, but Rambin’s pink bikini was terrible. Pink isn’t a good fighting color. It’s too wimpish. The bout was even at two, but Drayton took the next two rounds to build a nice lead. The lead didn’t last long as the end of the sixth Rambin had evened the fight. In the seventh, Drayton staggered Rambin with a right and then followed up with a left hook and Rambin went down for the ten count.
E. HENSTRIDGE/LEVY The bout was even at the end of two. Henstridge went ahead in the third by flooring Levy. Levy narrowed Henstridge’s lead by winning the fourth and then went ahead by putting Henstridge on the cavas in the fifth. In the sixth, Levy landed a left hook to the body and followed up with a right uppercut and Henstridge went down and out.
SONG/GRAHAM The bout was even at the end of two. Song hurt Graham in the third and decked her in the fourth, to take a three point lead. Graham came back to take the fifth and then hurt Song in the sixth to narrow Songs lead to one point. In the seventh, Graham sent Song to the canvas to take the lead in the bout. In the eighth, a Graham right hand sent Song to the canvas again. She did not beat the count this time giving Graham a KO8
