(Team Canada vs The Sirens)

Intro:
Ona Grauer makes her BBU debut at age 41 as she fight 33 year old Pia Miller in what should be a surprising Latin style fight up in the cold north of Montreal.
Ona has fought once in an official bout in the FCBA, drawing against Emmanuel Vaugier in her one and only bout so she hopes to fire her career up now.
Pia on the other hand is 1 and 1 in her career, undefeated in the BBU after beating Eve Morley with ease but has lost in the FCBA in the battle of stable pride just a week ago to her stables sister member Luisana Lopilato.

Ona was interviewed on a national sports show and told them "Pia is going to be fun to beat, it's something about fighting a fellow Latin fighter, our blood seems to boil and while I am part Canadian, my Mexican side wants to show her why I am tougher"
Pia in her own interview in the press said "I heard Ona, she's right about the Latin thing, I have that feeling too, you just know when fighting a girl with our heritage that there is no quarter given, you either finish the job or get finished"
Asked about the speed of having two fights in a week, she answers "look Ona isn't a threat in my eyes, Eve wasn't and look how I dealt with her, Luisana and me have a date a later day so I can remind her which of us is the better woman"

Fight night and Ona comes out first with a Mexican flag dropped over her shoulders, with her coach carrying a the Canadian flag for her.
She is wearing a green sports bra, a half Mexican and half Canadian flag design shorts as she also has Rex gloves and shoes to finish her look off.
Entering the ring, she blows kisses to the crowd before going to her corner and getting the flag taken off her back by her coach.
Pia meanwhile represents Chile tonight, even though she has lived in Australia the last few years, she has the Chilean flag draped over her own shoulders.
She is wearing all red gear tonight as she walks purposely down towards the ring with her eyes squarely on Ona's, she gets her flag taken off her.
As she enters the ring, Ona is right away across the ring as both girls finally come face to face and the fireworks begin already.
Both bumping bodies and screaming in their native tongues at each other, Pia shoves Ona in the face with her left glove and coaches with the referee dive between the fighters and force them into their own corners.
The referee tells both to calm down or he will throw the fight out before it even begins.
Both girls need a moment but calm down enough that the referee is satisfied to signal for the bell to begin 10 rounds of lightweight boxing.

Round 1:
"Ding" the two fighters quickly move towards each other and heads down, guards tight to themselves, before they start lighting each other up.
That Latin style in full effect here as they press tight together, lacing hard hooks around the others guard, just slugging it out as they try to pound the other in mush.
Pia managing to shove Ona back with two good uppercuts up the centre as she drives forward under a current of boos coming from the crowd.
Ona manages to shove back Pia with a hard straight to the centre of the Chileans face.
Both girls fight in tight again as it's just a brutal slugfest between two proud ladies, shoving each other backwards as the fight isn't a technical classic.
Pia manages to press Ona towards the ropes with two shots to the body, then slams another uppercut that connects just under the left jug of Grauer.
The older fighter groans but again fights her way back forward with some wild thrown strikes to get off the ropes but doesn't do any damage as Pia dodges all the punches thrown at her.
Not long left to go in the round and Pia strikes hard through the guard of Ona once more to rattle her head back, then works the body with more with two shots.
The bell rings not long after Ona is backed up in a corner, her eyes burning holes into Pia's set, the Sirens fighter is giving it back to her in spades.
The referee gets between the girls as he sees that they are brewing to get back at each other and both jog back to their corners with tempera boiling over.

Round 2:
Ona is right in Pia's face as she lands a double jab to snap her head back, then she presses her back under a barrage of punches.
Pia blocks as much as she can before she has a chance to fire back to cause the fight to return to a hammer and tongs affair between the battlers.
Now it's Ona getting slammed up top with some brutal shots as blood is running from a small cut above her left eye to show the raw strength Pia has in her arsenal.
The crowd are wincing with Ona as she isn't backing down as her pride won't let her but she is being taken to town by Pia now.
The faster and stronger punches of Pia are hammering Ona to the ropes and Grauer has to cover up to try and protect herself.
But a right hook slams into her cheek and down goes Ona to her side as gasps ring out in the crowd at the brutal beating she's taken.
The referee is counting as Ona lays on her side, blood covers the left side of her face from the cut caused earlier.
But Ona manages to beat the count at 8 to the delight of some in the crowd, the doctor is ordered to check the cut out as it looks bad.
After getting her face cleaned up so the doctor can see how bad the cut is, he waves the fight off as Ona protests the decision and even Pia looks like she wants her opponent to be allowed to continue.
But the fight is stopped and judging by the look of the cut, it appears to be the right decision as it starts running down her cheek again.

Winner: Pia Miller TKO (Doctor stoppage) Round 2

After:
The two most disappointed people in the ring look to be Ona and Pia as the stopped fighter complains to her corner that she can continue and Kari has to hug her and explain to her it's better to be safe then sorry.
Pia isn't happy to take the result this way as she marches off to the Team Canada corner and tells Ona that she wants to continue.
Both fighters square up again as they push each other and security has to get between the fighters to stop them having an instant rematch.
Pia can be heard calling her rival a "f***ing coward!" Which seems uncalled for but Ona fires back "take the gloves off then and see how much of a coward I am!"
Both girls are dragged out of the ring by their coaches and managers as the crowd is simply stunned by what they've seen in what was a short fight but so much drama.

Ona told a journalists in the back after getting cleaned up and her cut stitched up "Pia was lucky that the doctor got involved, I felt OK to fight on but Amanda has told me to accept this defeat and move on"
She adds "I have more fights to come and maybe I can get Pia in the future because I know I can beat her"
Pia gets caught by a group of journalists on her way from her locker room to leaving the arena and still looks upset.
"Ona was lucky, I was so close to knocking her out and if the doctor had started out of the way, well I would have hurt her" says Pia as she touches her right fist as if imagining if she had been able to knock Ona out.
"I have other targets ahead so Ona can feel especially lucky that she's a nobody, I have other problems to sort then I will go hunting for bigger fish" finishes Pia before she smiles like a Cheshire cat and leaves the arena.

Pia's future looks bright with her new stable Sirens putting their support behind her and with a group of stablemates all gunning for top spot in just their lightweight group, she has a lot of reason to win as many as she can.
Ona meanwhile is still somewhat a mystery, she looked hurt by Pia so it was hard pressed to say she would have pulled back.
If she can get fights with some older stateswomen of the division, then we can see her full potential but at 41, a title run seems extremely unlikely.
