(Team Canada vs Free Agent)

Intro:
This is the debut of Elyse Levesque as she takes on another stunner in Federica Nargi.
The Canadian Elyse is best friends with fellow Team Canada steward and Canadian celeb boxing legend Alaina Huffman and Alaina is credited as finally agreeing to actually sign up to fight pro, after years of the two sparring together in private.
Meanwhile Federica lost her own debut fight against the highly rated Melissa Satta in May in whitewash, that ended with her being knocked out after 5 rounds.
Coming into this fight, Elyse told the press "I know at 31 maybe I am late to the pro celeb ranks but if Katie Taylor can do it in the professional game after years of amateur fights, I can be inspired by her"
She adds "if anyone doubts me, look at where I grew up, I grew up in one of the harshest areas in Canada, bitter cold winters have toughened me up to be who I am and Federica will see what I can do"
Federica says in her interviews "I'm not a fan of the cold" before laughing and adding "but if it means I get my first win, I will crawl through snow and ice to get it"
Asked about her first fight, she answers "that's in my past, I can't focus on it because there is nothing positive to come from it, I am just focusing on what is ahead now and that's that"

Fight night and out comes Elyse with Kari Matchett by her side, waving the Canadian flag, both girls are from the Saskatchewan area in Canada (Kari from Spalding and Elyse from Regina) so rumours are these two have bonded easily within the stable.
She is wearing a violet sports bras, shorts, gloves and shoes tonight, bucking the trend of wearing mostly national colours but she looks hot either way.
Climbing into the ring, she has a warm smile for her fans as she acknowledges them for their support, before getting serious when Federica comes out to the top of the entrance ramp.
The pouting Italian fighter, has her coach waving her national flag behind her but she looks focused for war and struts down to the ring like she on a catwalk.
She is wearing all navy blue gear like Elyse's Violet gear and boy does she fill it out beautifully with her physique.
Entering the ring, she goes straight to her coach to warm up as she isn't interested in playing nice or nasty with her opponent, she just wants to get in and get out of the ring with a win.
Both girls come to the ring centre for the final instructions and stare each other down, before being asked to touch gloves.
They touch with some sign of respect compared to some of the glove touches tonight, then head back to their corners, so the referee can signal for the bell and we are off with 10 rounds of lightweight action.

Round 1:
Out come the fighters, Federica seems in the mood to prove that she can fight as she charges up after Elyse from the start.
Elyse not allowed time to breath in the early going as Federica uses pounces forward with a good straight through the centre to the nose to bring early tears into the eyes of the Canadian.
Both fighters trade with some good single shots up the centre of the others guard, before Elyse faints with a right straight and surprises Federica with a left hook around the guard of the Italian.
Federica again though seems to control the pace with her greater early work rate but to Elyse's credit, she is blocking and parrying most shots thrown at her.
Now Elyse slams another good hook around the guard of Federica, it's a low right body shot and Nagri looks to have not enjoyed that one bit.
The quick thrown drive up the centre to the Italian's face, Nargi is knocked back several steps until she is able to fire back with a left uppercut just catching Elyse's chin to slow down the assault.
Both change to a single punch assault till the 10 second buzzer is sounded and Federica tries to swamp Elyse, who moves out of the blitz zone but isn't able to throw anything in return as the bell rings.
Elyse looks cool and collected, even if the people on the arena do not believe that she's won that round after that last moment assault against her.
Meanwhile Federica looks much happier than in her last fight, she grins to her coach, who tells her to focus and keep her mind games on the prize.

Round 2:
Off we go again, Federica doesn't rush her assault, just trying to sting the face of Elyse, who is bobbing and weaving her head to get out of the way of the assault.
The Canadian beautifully moves inside with good movement of her head before digging two hard shots under the jugs of Federica to knock them up and causing the Italian to yelp in surprise and pain.
Elyse grins as she sees the look of annoyance in the eyes of her opponent, before Levesque adds a right hook up top to pivot the head of Nargi.
Federica presses more quickly as she realises she can't sit back and let Elyse get confident in her own rhythm.
Elyse is knocked back a step with an uppercut to her own left jug in retaliation for her own JMD tactics before.
Then Federica lands a good right and left hook to make Elyse wobble slightly and have to retreat with her jab sticking out.
Now the Italian is stepping forward confidentially and the two trade some good shots on the inside as Elyse is feeling the pressure.
The buzzer goes and Elyse doesn't want to be met with another barrage so steps out of the way of Federica's fists, making the Italian shout in her native language "coward!"
The bell to end the round rings with Federica telling her coach "she doesn't want to fight" shaking her head in disbelief at what she thinks is cowardly behavior.
Again though Elyse looks confident as her and Kari talk it out on what she should do and even smile at each other as pundits keep watch on that corner more than the up to now winning one.

Round 3:
Federica looks angry as she comes out searching for what she thinks is a fight and gets caught with some brisk counter punches from Elyse.
Where Federica had success before, now she is becoming too predictable with her charges and Elyse is smacking her in return, while moving her head around.
Even after losing the first two rounds, Elyse has defended well up till this point and it is allowing her to work out certain tells in her opponent and keep slamming hard punches back in return.
Federica is looking embarrassed as she slows down her own attack and now Elyse surprises her again by this time quickly stepping into space and throwing some quick combos.
Moving up to the head, down the jugs and body, Elyse is alternating where her fists are marking up her opponent and the skill levels of both looks so much more different to the first round.
The final minute just sees Federica getting caught by fast hands that are not truly power shots as more to wear down the strong Nargi.
The bell rings and Elyse pumps her fist to the crowd, who are up and cheering loudly as the worry they had in this fight has melted away after that impressive round.
Federica looks she'll shocked as her coach is quick to berate her for letting Elyse back into this fight so easily.

Round 4:
Federica has slowed right down in terms of rushing forwards with her attacks, now it's Elyse who is stepping forward with her lead jab measuring the range.
Once Elyse has her range, she throws short sharp punches to the body, before she again sneaks up top with some looping hooks.
Federica seems to snap out of her funk and it becomes a quick fire exchange between the two fighters as the crowd just sit and enjoy what is happening in front of them.
Heads nearly bump into each other as the fighters get too close for comfort and clinch up to slow the fight down.
The referee gets between the girls as they snarl at each other, separated, Elyse strikes first with another shot to the right jug of Federica.
This is becoming a personal fight as Federica's eyes burn with rage towards Elyse as she loops two of her own hooks towards the Canadian to put her back another few steps.
Elyse clinches up with her opponent to stop any momentum returning to her as the fighters are almost bear hugging each other and Federica whispers "you keep punching those because yours can't compete"
The referee gets the two apart again as time ticks away in the round and again the two fighters just brawl it out till the bell finally rings.
Both fighters surprise the crowd by banging a glove together to show respect to each other in between the moments where they've called each other.
Elyse looks annoyed as she sits down at herself for not keeping control, while Federica nods to her coach and is happy to get some ice on her face as her cheeks are swelling.

Round 5:
Elyse takes control early in the round as she doubles up her jab to snap Federica's face back and when she gets a chance, goes to the body to try and finish the job off.
Federica does manage to land some good hard return shots but she's starting to soak up some bad damage as she tries to press forward too soon.
As Elyse goes to work, she adds another set of Jug busting hooks to make Nagri yelp in pain as she cradles her jugs when she can find space to get into.
The Canadian's eyes turn into predator like mode as she slows down her attack slightly but only to time her shots more cleanly to land more vicious punches.
Gone are the simple shots from before, replaced with some brutal punches to make Federica wonder how much Elyse was holding back before.
The Italian manages to defend herself somewhat and she proves her toughness by taking some shots plum to the face.
But she has to take a knee when a hard right hook digs into her rib cage and she coughs out her gumshield.
Memories of how her first fight ended flood her mind as confidence drains from her as she looks at the canvas, while the referee is counting her out.
Pushing herself up at 8, Federica says to herself "I won't go down easily" as if trying to pep talk herself, the crowd certainly won't help as they urge Elyse to finish it.
But after Federica gets a new gumshield in, we back are back to the races and Nagri tries to make a fight of it this round with some hard thrown shots.
Sadly they all miss due to her timing being totally off, Elyse fires in some single punches in reply to keep some control of what's happening in front of her.
Near the bell, Elyse lands a hard straight to that sane spot from before on the ribs of Federica and the Italian nearly curls around the punch as she stumbles towards the ropes.
The bell seems to have saved Federica as she cradles her body and Elyse raises her gloves to the crowd to show her supreme confidence.
Both fighters need some fixing up with sponges and ice packs but it is Federica who is certainly in greater pain at this moment in time.

Round 6:
Federica tries to protect her hurt side as Elyse snaps the jab up top to her puffy right cheek to try and move that guard up.
It's clear, the Italian fighter has a bullseye on her side and while she tries to keep the fight interesting as she recovers with some hard thrown straights.
Elyse is in the drivers seat and as she lands two hard hooks up top to rattle Federica to the ropes, it's when she sees that red mark where her fists have hurt her opponent twice before, that she viper like strikes at with a vicious body shot.
Down to all fours goes Federica in agony, she rolls to her side cradling her body as the referee counts and as he gets to 8, he waves the fight off as Nagri isn't going to make that swift of a recovery.

Winner: Elyse Levesque KO Round 6

After:
Elyse climbs the ropes nearest herself and shouts into the crowd "1 and 0 baby!" To a loud round of applause and cheer from her massive support tonight.
After some results tonight, they are happy the Canadian fighters seem back on track as Elyse is doing a quick celebration dance in the corner.
Federica is helped onto her stool and ice is immediately placed on the bruised side of her body as a tear runs down her eye.
Elyse goes over to her corner to check on her beaten opponent and shows respect by touching gloves with Federica, even though they'll probably not be going for drinks together afterward.
After Federica feels up to it, the girls are brought to the ring centre for the final announcement and Elyse's hand is raised to a loud cheer.
Both girls give each other one last sign if sportsmanship by shaking taped hands, Federica holds her side with her left hand while doing it.
Federica slowly leaves the ring as her body is in no great hurry to rush off to the back, even though a massage has been promised to her tonight by her coach, which perks her interest up somewhat.
Meanwhile Elyse does a quick lap of the ring waving and bowing in each corner, before leaving the ring to head to the back.

As she gets to the backstage bit, two people wait for her, a journalist and her best friend Alaina Huffman stand ready.
Of course Alaina hugs Elyse tight as the journalist waits patiently to talk to her, Elyse after finished being hugged, turns to the journalist and says "this is the woman who got me to fight and I have to thank her for giving me nights like tonight.
Pointing back towards where she came from, she adds "that crowd was unreal and I have to give Federica props, she gave me a sterner test than I thought she would and she truly deserved my respect for that performance"
Asked about her future, she answers while Alaina stands close "well I came to be a champion but I will wait in line behind this beautiful woman, Alaina should be the champ around here, not some girl named Malika right!"
The journalist is going to ask more questions but Elyse shakes her head and Alaina says "we need to get back to the dressing room, Elyse is going to help me warm up for the main event"
Elyse does say "thank you" to the journalist but they want to go quickly chat about the fight, then get Huffman prepared for her fight with Gal Gadot.
