Intro:
The main event here in Philadelphia's Wells Fargo Center sees Michelle Rodriguez continue her comeback trail after pounding out old rival Jolene Blalock.
In her way is Nepal's number one celeb fighter, Dichen Lachman, who is looking to get back in the win column after 5 long hard years.
Michelle comes into this contest with 7 wins in 15 contests, she has 6 knockouts to her name in a career that saw her hold gold over a decade ago in the bantamweight division.
Dichen has 2 wins to her name in 8 attempts, only 1 knockout of those 2 wins, but she comes into this fight 4 years younger at 34 and 2 and a half inches taller at 5'7 1/2.

At the press conference for this event, both exotic looking girls met up for the first time in their careers and shared a quick smile before shaking hands and looking serious.
They were led by organisers to their seats at individual tables and Michelle was allowed to speak first, which seemed to allow her to get a few things off her mind.
"I heard after my last fight that managers were already getting scared by my comeback, are they going to wait till I'm 50 before they think of trying it on for size" says Michelle with a stern look at the camera.
Dichen smirks as Michelle adds "so I have to take women with guts on it seems and while I plan on kicking your ass, I already respect Dichen for stepping up to the plate as she thinks she can take me"
Turning to her future opponent, she finishes by saying "like Jolene before you and many others, I will be coming to knock you out and upset a few more people I bet on my way"
Dichen nods as she gets her chance to speak "listen Michelle, let me get this straight, I am certainly not afraid of you, in fact I can't wait to put you down for the count soon enough"
Now it's Michelle's turn to grin as Dichen continues by saying "this is the fight I need, a win here and I may start getting noticed more often"
Smiling, Dichen finishes by saying "if Michelle is like some mythical dragon, then I'm going to cut her head off and show everyone this aura around her is a giant lie"
Both fighters are urged to stare each other down face to face for a photo for the press, Michelle whispers as they stand nose to nose "a dragon? Really?"
Dichen smirks "well you do seem to spit out fire but I am not afraid to get burned to bring you down"
Laughing together, each fighter smiles at the other, before they leave the stage to do more press interviews for the big fight.

Fight night, out comes Michelle with her coach to a good cheer as she nods to the crowd but has a laser like focus on the ring as she walks down to it.
She is sticking to her all black gear as she wears a sports bra, trunks, shoes with no socks and of course black gloves, her hair is tied up into a ponytail.
Entering the ring, she heads straight for her corner as she warms up with her coach and ignores the renewed cheers for the arriving Dichen.
The Nepal girl stands on top of the ramp with her coach and smiles to the crowd, before her eyes focus on the girl she is going to crush in her mind.
She is wearing similar gear to Michelle's apart from colour scheme, in her case she has on a red sports bra, trunks and shoes but has white gloves on, her hair is braided to stop it going into her eyes.
Entering the ring, she waves to the crowd, then goes through her own last minute warm ups as the referee looks at both fit girls and hope these two stay within the rules or he's going to have a long night.
Asked to come to the ring centre, both girls stare hard into the opposing set of eyes, the final instructions are being read but both girls are itching to get started.
Told to touch gloves, both bang their gloves together as any sign of respect or friendship will have to wait as both girls return to their corners.
The referee finishes his checks and signals to the timekeeper to start this contest, 10 rounds of bantamweight boxing action.

Round 1:
Out come the fighters, Michelle in her Latin style stance straight from the off, low and compact, guard tight as she looks to walk Dichen down.
Dichen is using her height to her advantage, digging her jab early in the round to the head of Michelle, keeping the smaller fighter back.
Michelle does finally work her way forward, unloading two good body shots around the guard of Dichen but takes a good shot up the middle to her lips as she leaves herself open.
It's cat and mouse stuff early, Dichen's legs are allowing her to control the tempo of the fight, moving away from Michelle at different angles.
All Michelle can do is cover up and weather the storm till she can get in and do some damage, she does get her chance as she sends out an overhead right that stops Dichen for a moment too long and the Latin fighter is on her.
But to Dichen's credit, she is in tight with Michelle, both girls throwing quick hands, till Lachman gets the chance to sneak a shove in and break away from this infighting.
Michelle looks frustrated as Dichen continues to rattle off stinging jabs to her face and add some good shots of her own around Rodriguez's guard to look good.
Back comes Michelle though, a cracking right to the body gets a rewarding grunt from Dichen's lips, then she presses behind her guard with two good straights up between the gloves of Dichen to reel her back a step then two.
Again though, Dichen shows her own experience, stepping to the side of slamming a hook to the side of Michelle's head to turn it slightly.
The round is nearly over as Dichen works the jab up and down, same punch but different targets as she is evidently trying to wear down Michelle.
As the bell ring, it's a good round for Dichen to start on, neither celebrates or whines, they just head back to their corners for some advice and to get cleaned up.

Round 2:
Dichen seems to be in a rhythm now, Michelle is giving chase but getting caught around her guard by the longer reach she's facing and it's becoming a bit one sided in the early going.
The Nepal fighter is carving away at Michelle and it takes over thirty seconds before Michelle finally lays a meaningful punch onto her opponent.
Digging to the ribs of Dichen, Michelle shoves her head towards her opponent's but isn't looking to headbutt her, instead she's crowding her towards ropes or a corner to try and gain some form of control.
But thus drive doesn't last long as Dichen lands a good uppercut through the guard, then pivots on her toes away to safety before resuming her long range assault to make Michelle look ready to explode.
This round is becoming a bruising round for Michelle as her lip has been cut open by the pinpoint jabs that Dichen is dealing out.
Her own tactics are bearing only some fruit as she does seem to be hurting Dichen to the body but she is getting caught and suddenly her target is gone from in front of her.
A piercing straight to her lips, followed by a cracking right hook to her own body hurts Michelle as she groans but she is one tough girl and keeps marching forward behind her own jab.
The problem is, she is still getting picked off till late in the round, when she times Dichen's jab and bobs just enough to come forwards and crack her across her cheek with a left hook.
Suddenly Michelle comes to life, her temper seems to have been uncorked with less than thirty seconds to go as she throws a stiff barrage of punches towards her opponent.
Dichen is covering up and can't find an angles to sneak to or any openings for a counter attack, instead she's forced to the ropes, where Michelle just let's her hands go anywhere, not all of her punches are hitting but enough are making her opponent uncomfortable to say the least.
The bell rings and Michelle let's out a loud scream, it's born if frustration but it looks like a battle cry to fans all around the arena.
Dichen looks to be OK, even after the barrage, she even has time to smile as she knows she definitely won that round and is banking on the first at this stage to give her a good lead to start with.
But Michelle looks ready to toss the gloves off in her corner, her coach is wiping the blood from her lip and looks at Rodriguez's cold eyes staring across at Lachman with hunter like eyes.

Round 3:
Dichen is able to resume her jab assault early in the round but this time Michelle quickly catches up with her to deal a beating to her body.
Lachman is certainly not enjoying the attention as she tries to shove Rodriguez back but is being met by the rampaging bull like Michelle now with regularity.
The fight becomes a brawl near the ropes as Michelle presses forward, trying to give Dichen no space to breath in or escape.
Meanwhile Dichen is fighting hard, she had the early going all to herself but now is being tested and she's putting on a good show for the crowd.
Back and forth go the girls as the crowd cheer both on, Michelle presses her left under the chin of Dichen and the referee is quick to get involved and warn her not to do that, Michelle quickly nods her apologises but Dichen has sneaked off the ropes.
Now as they resume, it's back to the long range assault Dichen, pounding around the guard of Michelle to the Texans annoyance.
Michelle continues to work forward but her own jab is struggling to catch Dichen flush as the the big girl continues to elude her.
As the time ticks down, Michelle again catches Dichen flush across her chin this time with a big right hand and she presses her towards a corner this time.
Both slug it out as Dichen can't escape as quickly as she has been able to do in other parts of the ring.
Michelle is landing the much better shots in this melee as the 10 second warning seconds and it seems to spur Rodriguez on to go even harder on Dichen, whose head is being knocked around when she gets caught.
The bell rings with Michelle stepping back to allow Dichen to go back to her corner but she stands and watches her go as if sending a message that you escape when I let you, before she returns to her own corner to get her face cleaned up once more of blood from her lip.

Round 4:
Either Dichen was more hurt at the end of that last round or she's believing the aura that people believe Michelle has in the ring as Dichen is getting caught early in the round this time, where before she led the way.
Now Michelle is stepping forward with an extra spring in her step to press Dichen backwards with some more cracking body shots.
Dichen seems to be slumping slightly as she shoves Michelle back but Rodriguez is quick to get at her once again.
It's becoming a beating for Dichen as she covers up as best as she can, while Michelle keeps going for her with rangy hooks being swung to keep Lachman in front of her.
Dichen seeming to find something inside of herself, starts brawling with Michelle but it looks a recipe for disaster.
Michelle is connecting with the better punches as she keeps Dichen having to retreat a short space before the two crack each other across the face with some hard shots.
Time ticks away as the fighters try to make as much of an impression on the judges as they can but it would be hard for Dichen to find her way on top of this round.
But with less then thirty seconds to go, she manages to slip of the way of Michelle's latest charge and lands two desperation like right hands to rattle her.
Dichen manages to actually press forward herself after a torrid round, Michelle covers up as she gets hit around her guard.
But as the 10 second warning comes, Michelle again seems to spring into life as she throws some stiff shots in reply to force a barnstorming finish to the round to the delight of the fans.
The bell rings with both fighters stare at each other and have to admit to themselves they have respect for the other after that brawl.
Dichen has some blood dripping from her nostrils as her coach has to clean up her face and her pristine face is starting to swell up.
Michelle nods to her coach, who straight away is fixing her up, her lip is starting to swell and her cheeks are puffing up.

Round 5:
Dichen seems to almost spring out of her corner, Michelle looks stunned as Lachman throws caution to the wind and actually forces the Texan to the ropes.
Each fighter is blitzing the other with some vicious shots, before the fighters clinch up to get the first real rest period in this fight.
Ordered to break, before girls release the other to show good sportsmanship but it's Dichen with her reach that finds her cracking Michelle to those lips and getting loud grunts from her opponent
Dichen has the upper hand again and she is desperate not to let it go this time as she doubles up her jab, then she uses her right to pound away to her opponent's head or body.
Michelle is trying to move her head out of the way of the shots and come back at Dichen with her own straights.
It leads to a tense back and forth as sweat and blood flies into the air from both fighters.
Dichen quickly clinches up and uses her right to beat away to the body of Michelle to try and wear her down, but Michelle shows her own power to use her right to dig away to her kidneys.
The referee has to get between the two this time as they are pushing and shoving each other to a loud roar from the crowd.
Separated, Michelle quickly barrels into Dichen late in the round and lands two more hard body shots to her flanks to force more air from her lungs.
Dichen is forced onto the ropes and can only throw some wild shots towards the body of Michelle to try and get her off.
But Rodriguez is like a pit bull, she's got her teeth into her opponent and is just pounding away with repeated short sharp body punches till the bell ends the round.
Both fighters are breathing faster as they step away from each other and Michelle pumps her fist into her chest, Dichen simply nods to her before they return to their corners.
They are definitely resting more on their stools as they try to catch their breaths and focus on anything but the pain they are in to get ready for the next round.

Round 6:
Out comes Michelle, she looks slightly the better at the moment as Dichen is looking tired after all the punishment her body has taken up to now.
Michelle is quick to fight her way forward under the jab of Dichen and lands two good body blows then adds a one straight into the liver area.
Dichen is hurt! She's trying to escape but leaves herself wide open and Michelle cracks her with a thunderous right haymaker to her cheek.
Down goes Dichen! Her gumshield shoots out of her mouth before she lands onto the canvas with a thud as she's out cold, the referee doesn't bother to count as he waves the fight off.

Winner: Michelle Rodriguez KO Round 6

After:
Michelle quickly mounts the middle ropes of the corner is she nearest to and thumps her chest to the delight of the crowd.
Medics rush straight in to check Dichen as they try to wake her up from a knockout of the year contender in some peoples eyes, others are just stunned by what they saw.
After several moments, Dichen does wake up and Michelle after getting her gloves taken off, goes to check on her as she doesn't want to seriously injury her.
Dichen nods to Michelle and the two women bump fists but Lachman is going to the hospital for tests to make sure she hasn't suffered anything major.
Clapping Dichen on her way out of the ring, Michelle looks around the ring and sees the crowd cheering her on and then looks to see an interviewer come to see her.
Michelle is asked about that knockout, she replies "that was all instinct, she came out the blocks strong and I think Dichen deserves everyone's respect for that performance"
The crowd clap for Dichen, even though she isn't here as she gets the recognition she deserves for a great fight thanks in part to her.
Asked about the future, Michelle says "well let's say if I lost here, then my next fight would be a bust right, but I believe she's in the crowd, so get in here and let's agree to get it on!"
Australian Eliza Taylor comes from the crowd and climbs into the ring to a good round of applause as she heads straight for Michelle.
Both girls go nose to nose as they stand with hands on there hips, staring hard into each others eyes, till they step back and share a mischievous grin with each other.
They shake hands to show that the fight is going to happen and will be an interesting test for Michelle as Eliza is 11 years younger then her and has a positive record.
Out of the ring the girls go, separating as Eliza is helped with security out of the arena, while Michelle gets a cheer from the crowd as she leaves up the ramp, proud to be 2 and 0 on the comeback trail.
