(Free Agent vs Free Agent)

Intro:
Christmas time is coming up and Toledo, Ohio is home of tonights fight, seeing the two female stars of Melissa & Joey, that was set in this city.
Melissa Joan Hart steps out of retirement for one fight, to take on her former costar and girl many people believe is her protégé Taylor Spreitler.

The press event for the fight saw both girls on the former set of Melissa & Joey in Los Angeles and both look somber as they look around the place they felt at home in.
Melissa spoke first to the press "God it's surreal being here, especially under the circumstances" as both blondes each other a hard look.
She adds "I have been asked several times, if you were in your prime, would you beat Taylor, the simple answer is yes, in a few days I prove it doesn't matter what age I am, I am the better woman"
Taylor smirks and replies "oh please, it's funny, when we filmed this show, we did have a mother/daughter bond in the back, she took me under her wing and taught me the ins and outs of the business"
Continuing as she goes nose to nose with Melissa "but for all the love and respect I have for you, I heard the comparisons, am I a cheap knock off of you, you want an answer, when I beat you then the world will have their answer"
Bumping body to body, any of that respect is out the window it seems as security has to hold the girls back, both telling security to let them go so they can prove whose better right now.
But they are led off the set and told to save any anger for the actual fight in a few days.

Now in the Huntington Center, it's fighting time and out comes the 40 year old New Yorker Melissa Joan Hart comes out in a red robe with a white fur covered hood, looking like Mrs Claus for this winter clash.
Entering the ring, Melissa's coach takes her robe off to reveal that she's wearing a toned body in a red sports bra and trunks, with white fur trim on the waistband with her initials in red glitter, she completes the look with red gloves and shoes.
Now out comes the 23 year old Taylor Sprietler, she is wearing a green stain robe and a green elf like hat, she poses on the top of the ramp and blows kisses to the crowd.
After walking down to the ring, she gets her coach to remove her robe to reveal a candy cane style gear, red and white stripes on her trunks and sports bra, she has white gloves and shoes.
After placing her elf hat on top of a young fans head at ringside to a loud cheer, then heads into the ring to get ready for this bout.
Both blondes stare across the ring at each other as they pace in their corners, then head to the ring centre at the behest of the referee.
Both are roughly the same height at 5'2, so they are eye to eye, staring hard, as the referee reads out his final instructions.
Asked to touch gloves, it's an awkward moment as the girls look each other up and down, there still has to be some bond between them, but they steel themselves to bang their gloves together hard.
They return to their corners to get their gumshields in, the referee gets his watch, then signals to the timekeeper to ring the bell to start 10 rounds of flyweight boxing.

Round 1:
Off they go, both girls start with a probing jab, working each other out, as while they worked together, they haven't sparred together.
Taylor tries to quicken the tempo, Melissa shows her experience by parrying her shots and countering over the top with piercing shots.
The girls trade it out in the ring centre as the action heats up, Melissa still connecting with the cleaner shots, but Taylor is starting to force the pace.
Melissa steps back to open up space to work in, she is getting forced back towards the ropes under the quick hands of her opponent.
Needing to slow Taylor down, Melissa lands a good straight to the abs of the younger girl to set up a good left cross to knock Spreitler back a step.
The girls are in tight, with Melissa working away to the body of Taylor and getting knocked back with an uppercut that snaps her head back.
The girls go back and forth around the ring as the crowd cheer both girls on, with Melissa landing a good right hook late in the round to turn the head of Taylor.
As the round ends, Taylor looks down at the canvas and shakes her head, she hoped that she'd dominate the fight.
Instead she gets to watch Melissa walk back to her corner, with her arms raised and curses her behind her back.

Round 2:
Taylor comes out faster this round, backing up Melissa with flurry of punches that the older blonde has to cover up against.
Fans of both are chanting for their girl as the girls start trading shots in tight, Taylor again powers Melissa back onto the ropes and slams hooks over the top to rock the head of her rival.
Melissa pulls Taylor into a clinch to protect herself, the girls grapple on the ropes, shoving with their bodies into each other.
The referee pulls apart the fighters, Taylor quickly cracks Melissa to her left cheek with a right cross to make her stumble.
The crowd edge closer in their seats, but Melissa manages to cover up as she is under siege and just about recovers to fight back with her jab.
The girls nearly bump heads as they go in tight to brawl it out, tempers are frayed as the women snarl and then groan under the others assault.
Taylor shoves Melissa back with her left and lands a hard right to the ribs of her opponent to cause her to gasp and pounds her back towards the ropes.
The bell rings with Melissa covering up under an assault from Taylor, who holds off but stares hard at her mentor before returning to her corner.
Now it's Melissa whose pissed off, she sits down and shakes her head as she glares across the ring and the two blondes eyes meet, neither blinking as they send messages through their eyes and body language.

Round 3:
Melissa is up and stinging Taylor's face straight away, pushing the youngster back under a hail storm of punches.
Taylor finds her chance to strike back and both girls slug it out in a fast paced brawl that fits the flyweight division perfectly.
The girls clinch up after they nearly bump heads and Melissa stuns Taylor by shoving her back with her body towards the ropes and nearly trips her up.
The referee gets between the girls and pries them apart, Melissa tries to move into the space again to keep on top of Taylor.
The youngster is forced to cover up and parry shots that come her way as Melissa keeps rushing her to a loud cheer from her fans.
Taylor decides to fight back and the girls trade in tight, hooking shots around the others guards to hammer away at each other.
Melissa eats a hard right hook to turn her face and late in the round, Taylor now powers through to knock her older opponent onto the ropes.
Both are trading hard shots on the ropes till Taylor again slams a right hook, followed by a left to stun Melissa.
The bell rings to seemingly save her, as Taylor returns to her corner with ease, while Melissa shakes her head as she slowly returns to her own corner.

Round 4:
Melissa does make it out her corner, but she quickly finds herself gets caught with a left cross that lands squarely onto her chin.
The older blondes head snaps sideways, then the rest of her body follows as she goes down to the canvas.
Taylor moves to a neutral corner, allowing the referee to start his count as Melissa blinks her eyes, trying to clear her head.
The referee is up to 5 as Melissa starts to try to push herself up, but she's too dazed to get her arms under her properly and she falls back to her side, as the referee finishes his count to end her night.

Winner: Taylor Spreitler KO Round 4

After:
Taylor finally gets into the winners circle and she raises her arms to the ceiling to a loud cheer from the crowd.
Melissa's coach comes to help her up to her stool as she looks down at the canvas, that is till Taylor rushes over to check on her.
"Are you OK?" Asks Taylor as she puts her left glove on Melissa's shoulder and blushes as she realises she still has her gloves on, all the ill feeling seems to disappear.
Melissa's coach helps both girls with their gloves as Melissa tells Taylor "I'll be OK, just sorry I guess" as Taylor looks shocked at that last bit.
Taylor replies "well I guess we needed to clear the air, I hate being knowing as the young you" Melissa stands up and the crowd wonder if things are going to kick off again.
But Melissa puts her hand out and tells Taylor "well you've proven to me that you deserve to be called a younger me"
Taylor looks annoyed but Melissa adds "maybe you'd have hammered me if we were the same age" as she smiles and both girls shake hands and hug each other.
The crowd clap both girls as Melissa raises Taylor's hand and asks her "look I'm done in the ring myself, but would you want me to train you?"
Taylor warmly smiles and hugs Melissa again tightly, answering "I'd be honoured, God knows you helped me become who I am in front of a camera, now you can help me in this ring"
The girls leave the ring together as their bond appears to be back and they are partners in crime it seems now.
