BEFORE: A classic cougar fight is scheduled next and several pundits wonder how will Foxfire Atlantic's designated JMD participant Sylvie Meis cope with Amy Adams' return to the ring. The redhead actress is yet to win an official FCBA fight and was last seen going down to fellow struggler Rachael Leigh Cook a couple of years ago. However Cook picked up a lot of steam after signing with the Alpha Boxing Club and the only problem spoiling Amy's odds is the fact she remains a free agent while her Dutch opponent profits from the high-profile Foxfire gym backing.

Rounds 1 & 2:
Most pundits expect a high-tempo assault since fatigue can become a factor in this fight very quickly but none of that happens during the cagey opener. Apparently Sylvie views Amy as a dangerous floater and shows signs of FCBA inexperience by refusing to attack her from the onset. She pays a heavy price for it when the redhead takes over the command with a jabbing flurry and stacks the model back to the ropes where Sylvie can only search for a lenghty clinch to find some respite. Amy tackles her body repeatedly and shows no signs of lack of confidence as she lands most of the punches straight into the blonde's ribcage and is responsible for some nervous screams from Foxfire Atlantic head trainer Sophia Myles. Meis works from behind the guard but struggles to dominate the close range stance and is pinched back to the turnbuckle come the bell with Adams slicing her up from both flanks.

Round 3:
Meis needs a big punch to fend off the redhead's production and she finds one early in the third when she smacks Adams on the lips before adding a belting shot to the liver area. Amy's punching resistance is a known liability and even after dominating the opening two rounds, she buckles under the first real onslaught from her opponent which in turn leads into Sylvie pounding away in fury and trapping her suddenly subdued rival on the ropes herself. However Meis becomes too careless in execution and skims off the forearms too often as Amy's desperate defense enables her to survive the worst and then mount a comeback in the final minute to boot. A seemingly wayward hook blasts the Dutch model on the lips and a late double combo tags the temples which wobbles Meis back to the center of the ring with a loud whimper. Amy runs out of time to really punish her thereafter though but still gives the Foxfire entourage a long stare before walking back to her corner.

Round 4:
Sophia Myles urges the blonde to hammer down the redhead's cockiness any which way and a classic flyweight-like dust up ensues quickly in the fourth. Both women throw the tactics out of the windows and punish each other upstairs back & forth until the haymaker shot sends one of them into a tailspin. And it's Sylvie who bursts Amy's lips into a swollen nightmare after piercing her leaky high guard with a monster drive just past the minute mark. Adams' head snaps back repeatedly and her knees buckle visibly under the barrage which rewinds the poor resistance tape all over again. The Dutch model quickly jumps on the follow up train and pounds her vulnerable foe back to the ropes where she digs deep into the pale ribcage and bends Amy into spasms come the bell. Despite that very promising start, Amy's defense lets her down in a crucial moment of the fight with Sylvie in full control of a heavy beating to the body; the older woman is all out of breath at the bell and it's the blonde who throws a classic death stare now.

Round 5:
Amy needs some time to recover her breath but Sylvie's in a destruction mode already and hammers more punches up the middle rendering the high guard obsolete within seconds of the bell in the fifth. The carrot ponytail swings back & forth as Amy's face suffers from a serious reconstruction plan and Meis openly avoids pasting her to the body - looking for a head hunting assault instead. There's nothing Adams can do about it anymore as she remains glued on her feet and simply wilts under the Dutch pressure which leads into a nasty hook on the eye and another one on the temple to finally put her away. REDHEAD GOES DOWN as she's unable to fend off the blonde's heat and it's all over just like that. KO5 Sylvie Meis!!!

AFTER: Poor defense rather than elite offense settled this fight in Sylvie's favor and several pundits believe she needs a better test to justify her foray across the Atlantic. This being said, what's exactly expected from the Dutch model? Coach Sophia Myles refuses to answer this question since she prefers to celebrate with her protegee and well, what's really wrong with a lingerie model flashing her curves in the ring? A free exposure like that is never a bad thing and someone who brands her own lingerie collection back in Europe is destined for a favorable review or two regardless of the quality of her opponents.
