(Girls Friday vs Free Agent)

Intro:
The next card on PPV is the fight between Poppy Drayton and Caity Lotz that sees two of TV's biggest summer stars fighting it out. The 25 year old Poppy was of the main characters in the TV adaptation of the popular book series The Shannara Chronicles as she played elf Princess Amberle Elessedil.

While birthday girl at 30 on 30th today Caity played Sara Lance in Arrow and Legends of Tomorrow since this summer. In the boxing ring, Poppy is unbeaten in 5 fights with a perfect 5 knockouts to her name, while Caity is 7 in 13 fights and has 3 knockouts to her name.

The fight was set and at the press conference the girls met up nose to nose and stared each other down with hands on hips, neither batting an eye.

Led to their tables, Poppy is asked to speak first and starts off bysaying "I honestly can't believe I am still in America, when I took the asylum gig, honestly it was more the we can't turn it down fight then one I expected to actually win, but I did beat Ramblin and it was the greatest moment of my boxing career up to now!" She continues "so when I found out that my stable wanted to test the waters slightly more with me by putting me in the ring with one of the best free agents period" Finishing up "I mean Caity does Muay Thai, Taekwando and Wushu for starters, then she does frickin parkour! So if I beat her then I belong, if not then I honestly don't know"

Caity meanwhile is her usual brash self "Listen Poppy, thank you for calling me the best free agent in the world , but let me be crystal clear, I have said it since day one and it's even more true now then
ever, I am the best fighter in this business" She states "mean I hear Jane Levy is the best athlete right, I am the best athletic girl to walk into this ring, they call Lucy Liu a great, I'd have crushed her, Theron, Berry, etc in their primes, I am the best and it's that simple"

Poppy looks stunned as she evidently hasn't seen a Caity press conference before as this is just standard for her. The fighters are brought back to stand face to face and Lotz is smiling widely before she whispers "ready for the worst 10 rounds of your life?" Poppy just stands and stares, not willing to be drawn into a slanging match.

Both are told to leave the stage for the next girls to come on stage and Caity looks like she's won the prefight mind games but Poppy doesn't look too bothered as she sees her friends off stage and rushes
to hug them.

Fight night, out comes Poppy first with Lauren Berlingeri and her best friend Ivana Baquero, she smiles brightly to the crowd. As she walks down to the ring, she is wearing all black gear, sports bra, trunks, gloves and boots on. Entering the ring, Poppy waves to the crowd as she walks around the
ring, as she gets to her corner, she turns to see Caity make her entrance.

Caity looks arrogantly down at Poppy from the top of the ramp, her coach behind her as she struts down to the ring. She is wearing all red gear down to the ring as she nods at her fans and waves the people in the crowd who boo her to sit down.
Entering the ring, Caity walks around the ring and waves her fist dismissively at Poppy in a sign of disrespect till she reaches her corner.

Both fighters are asked to the ring centre and it leads to a hard stare down between the two women as the referee goes through his final instructions. Asked to touch gloves, the fighters bang their gloves hard together to show this will not be a friendly fight. They head back to their corners and now the referee signals for the bell to begin 10 rounds of bantamweight boxing action.

Round 1:
Out comes the fighters, both the girls have tonight guards as they start off quickly, testing each others defences with some quick thrown strikes and finding glove or arm in reply. Caity tries to force the issue first with a right cross attempt, sorely missing as Poppy steps forward to land two hard shots to her abs. The blonde steps back to throw a double jab onto the guard of Poppy and gets counter punched again, this time with a left hook sneaking around her guard. The look on Caity's face is priceless for those that hate her as she expected an easy fight against her less experienced opponent. But finally Caity lands her punches and Poppy looks like this is the hardest she's been hit in her young career as she grunts loudly from a hard hook to her body. Both girls trade hard shots to each others body as Poppy is taking steps back for the first time in her career. Poppy slows her retreat with a hard straight throw the gloves of Lotz to snap her head back and now Caity looks stunned. Again they dig away to the others head this time till they clinch up, whispering insults to each other as they grapple with each other. Separated, Poppy is able to connect with a jab/straight combo but Caity dodges a hook to land one of her own to the body. The 10 second signal sounds and the girls throw quick shots to try to win the round till the bell sounds to end the round. Both girls raise their arms up into the air and go nose to nose as they tell each other what they think of each other and need the referee to part them.

Round 2:
Off we go again, both girls lining each other up with the jab to start this round, Poppy catches Caity with a right to the body.But as she tries to connect with a left to her opponent's head, Lotz ducks and drives up from her knees to land a hard right cross. Poppy is on the back foot as Caity comes forward and works the body to force Drayton into a retreat that puts a smile on the blondes face. Caity gets hit on her nose with a right hand to slow down her charge but doesn't blunt it as a left hits Poppy's cheek and the brunette is knocked towards the ropes. On the ropes, Poppy fights hard to escape as the girls battle it out and she has to clinch up when she it becomes a brutal stalemate. Neither girl looks happy to be clinched up with each other, pumping their shoulders into the others chin gets the referee involved to pull them apart and warn them to settle down and keep the fight clean. Circling, Poppy lunges forward with a left hook but Caity again slips the punch and digs in a body shot to cause the English fighter to grunt loudly. Poppy struggles to keep up with Caity, the birthday girl looks to be a step above at the moment, her experience allowing her to slip Poppy's punches and connect with the better punches. Late in the round, Poppy manages to land her best shots of the round with a sneaky uppercut to the chin of Caity to snap her head back. Caity takes two more shots to the side of her body, before she lands a left cross and just misses a hard right hook as the bell rings. "I told you I'm good" says the birthday girl as she winks at Poppy, both girls faces are already starting to show signs of battle, with Poppy's left side of her face puffy looking, both fighters cheeks are turning red with marks. Poppy just shakes her head as she returns to her corner, telling Lauren and Ivana "she's tough, more than I thought she was" Ivana massages her best friends shoulders and tells her "don't let her get into your head babe, she's not as good as you" Poppy doesn't look like she believes that, while Caity is eating the praise of her coach up and readying herself to continue her masterclass in her own mind.

Round 3:
Poppy doesn't come as a quickly this round, instead she looks to be holding back, showing signs of her lack of confidence as Caity comes to meet her. Caity lands a stiff shot to the left side of the ribs of Poppy, the English girl is being pressed back by a barrage of punches, the only thing saving her is her guard. Poppy starts to fire back to try and get something going, Caity shuts her down by moving out of the way of her punches with her flexibility, even mocking Poppy by tapping her chin. Then Lotz connects with two right punches over the left hand of Drayton and now to add to the worries of Poppy, her left eye is starting to swell as she blinks. Poppy drives her body forward to grab Caity's left arm and punch her with her free hand to the body of Caity, the blonde stifles her groans to try and keep her mental advantage. The referee warns Poppy to not grapple but to box, next time she hangs on, he's taking a point off, Poppy apologises as Caity says "she can hang on all she wants, she's not good enough" As the action resumes, Caity let's Poppy swing at her but parries her wild shots as Drayton let's herself get drawn in and Lotz snaps her head back with a right straight. Poppy is driven towards the ropes again and is shielding her left eye it seems from further damage, Caity works the body with her left. Luckily for Poppy the bell rings as Caity tells her "all the bells doing is belonging the inevitable, you know I'm superior" Poppy just shoves her way past the laughing Caity to get to her corner and Ivana decides she has to be totally honest with her. "You're right you can't win!" Yells Ivana to her friend, Poppy looks heartbroken till Ivana continues "unless you wake the hell up, you are letting her win, use your skills, punish her arrogant bytchy mouth, God I wish I was fighting her" Lauren interrupts "you're not and you already have enough enemies, so let Poppy deal with this" In the other corner, Caity shuts her eyes and almost looks like she lounging in her garden, eyes shut as her coach cleans the sweat off her face and tries to keep what swelling she has got on her cheeks down.

Round 4:
As the bell rings, Caity bangs her gloves together and tells the crowd "this is the last round guys, get your moneys worth elsewhere" The start of the round isn't much different to the last two, Poppy taking shots, while she can't seem to land her own punches. But their is fire in Poppy's eyes as her mannerisms start to look like her normal style, she's parrying the shots of Caity and is landing some stiff shots on reply. Caity doesn't seem bothered as both girls slug it out around the ring, she sees what she hoped for as Poppy has a cut under her left eye, blood trickling down her face. The American steps back and lands a hard shot to that eye and Poppy stumbles back to the ropes and Caity almost laughs at what she sees as easy meat. Poppy covers up as Caity swings punches around the guard of the brunette, trying to separate her head from her shoulders and Poppy manages to clinch up to save herself being stopped. The referee pulls the girls apart, Caity tries to finish the fight now but Poppy shows she isn't done by ducking that shot and landing an uppercut to rock Lotz backwards. Caity tries to pretend she's not shocked as she comes forward but Poppy meets her head on and is able to knock the blonde back now with a barrage of punches. The bell rings with both girls staring hard at each other, Caity tells Poppy "I guess it's the next round then" to which Poppy replies "just shut up bytch" Both fighters nearly lunge for each other, the referee gets between them before anything can happen between the two and orders them back to their corners. Ivana pats Poppy on her back and tells her "that's a start, now it's time to complete the fight back" as Lauren cleans up Poppy's cut and her face. Caity is fuming as she tells her coach,  "that was supposed to be that, how the hell can she still fight!" Her coach focuses on cleaning her face up as he knows she isn't on the home straight just yet.

Round 5:
Caity rushes out and makes a big mistake as Poppy ducks under a haymaker and digs several shots straight into her body. The blonde groans as Poppy drives her back under a desperate barrage of body shots, Caity is hurt as she groans under the assault. Caity manages to land a straight to that cut again to push Poppy back but as they slug it out, Poppy keeps going to the centre of Lotz's body and she almost cradles her stomach in pain. Poppy gets shoved by Caity, the brunette knows she has to keep going
forwards, she presses her opponent to the ropes to works the body. Now it's Caity who clinches up, trying to get a chance at a breather as Poppy tries to get free to get back on the attack. The referee is called into action again to separate the two and now Caity hammers Poppy back to the ropes as she is after ending this now. Both girls slug it out on the ropes and a yelp is heard as Caity stumbles back holding her stomach, Poppy isn't much better as her leg eye is looking messy. Poppy pushes herself off the ropes as the fighters eye each other up through low guards, trading single shots as neither wants to make a mistake now. Caity can't believe that Poppy is pushing her to her limit now, as the girls start trading harder shots to try and finish each other off. Now the blonde is on the ropes as Poppy digs away to those abs of Caity, the abs are starting to look bruised as the bell rings and she lays on the ropes with her arms over the top rope, staring at Poppy hatefully. The brunette stares back through her good eye at her rival, she just stops herself saying something as she returns to her corner. Both fighters glare at each other as they get cleaned up, they are on tenterhooks to get back at each other.

Round 6:
Both girls come out straight for each other, parrying shots and swinging punches back at each other, Caity strikes to the flanks of Poppy. But she leaves herself open to a shot to the centre of her stomach and Lotz slumps into a right hook then a left that puts her down! Poppy goes to a neutral corner, almost begging Caity to stay down as the blonde rolls back and forth on the canvas in agony. The referee is counting and Caity is in no shape to beat the count as he reaches the count of 10 and the fight is over!

Winner: Poppy Drayton KO Round 6

After:
The upset happens, Poppy has done it after being beaten up for a good portion of that fight but pulled it out in the end.

Ivana rushes in to hug Poppy and lifts her up to a roar from the crowd as the bloodied fighter can barely lift her arm up to celebrate. A doctor rushes in to check on Caity, she's catching her breath as she lays on her back and her ego seems to be the biggest thing hurt by this fight.

"I had her, I had her beat" says Caity to the doctor as he checks her ribs and gives her a thumbs up to tell her that her ribs are OK.

She's helped from the ring by her coach, as she looks down to the ground, she can't bare to look at anyone as she is gutted by this loss.

Meanwhile Poppy is cleaned up in her corner by Lauren as Ivana tells her "what did I say big sis, you beat her up, I think you made her cry" laughing as she says that last bit.

Poppy looks up with good eye towards Ivana and replies "do I look like a winner, I got lucky tonight, I need to train harder and become a better fighter as a whole"

Lauren nods as she adds "you're right Poppy, tonight wasn't your best performance, but you showed you can overcome adversity, that is the best quality any fighter can have, so don't think everything is going to come all at once"

Poppy is helped up by Ivana and Lauren as she still feels tired and extremely sore as the crowd applaud her and out the ring goes the trio.

Waving to the crowd, Poppy thanks the crowd and is thinking of what she should do next in her growing career.
