(Words & Results: Lookout!)

BEFORE: This is one of the longest running and one of the best rivalries in the Female Celebrity Boxing Association (FCBA), without question, between two of the best lightweights in the world with Mary Elizabeth Winstead and Yvonne Strahovski.

Yvonne Strahovski has garnered many accolades and accomplishments in her time, including multiple runs atop the division with the lightweight title and is generally considered to be one of, if not the, best “pound for pound” fighter in the league. However, despite all of her success, she has constantly been bedeviled and tormented by brunette Mary Elizabeth Winstead, who is considered to be one of the best lightweights as well and has had plenty of individual success of her own, including multiple titles too. Currently, Mary Elizabeth Winstead leads their rivalry 6-5, which is something Yvonne hopes to remedy tonight.

“Whenever we get together, whether it's for some apartment house wrestling or ice cream or anything, I always hear Yvonne talk about how she is the best blonde in the league, even better than Theron. But, apparently being the best blonde is not NEARLY as good as being the best brunette, which is clearly what I am. Yvonne can climb as high as she wants on the league ladder, but she is always going to be looking up at me. From the very start, Yvonne has underestimated me and I've made her pay for it. If Yvonne thinks she is going to start off the year with a win over me, she is going to leave heartbroken again.” Mary Elizabeth Winstead declares confidently.

Yvonne's eyes narrowing at hearing the comments from her brunette rival, smirking as she glares over at her foe. “I do think I'm the best blonde in the league and to be honest, I don't think there is even a close second place at this point. Sorry to Charlize or any of those other blondes who think they are in my league, but as I'm the best blonde, I think I'm also the best fighter. Blondes are best and no brunette, especially not Winnie here, is going to be the best fighter in the division. If you want to be the best lightweight, that road is going to go through me and Mary, I'm going to leave you broken on the side of that road. I respect you and certainly don't underestimate you, but I do know that I'm better and tonight is when I start proving it. I'm going to take this rivalry and control of my career back where it belongs – with me on top!”

Though these two are generally friends outside of the ring, there is no hint of that leading up to this particular bout! Both Mary and Yvonne seem very motivated as they have fought in a variety of venues and scenarios, but this will be their very first “Body Paint” bout – with fans very excited to see both ladies participating in this event on New Year's!

Mary Elizabeth Winstead shows up first in entirely Body Paint, with a black and white sports bra with the words 'Best Brunette' written across her chest and a matching pair of shorts and gloves – hair in a battle bun. Yvonne Strahovski emerges second, also clad in Body Paint as the event dictates, with a blue and golden sports bra painted on that reads “Blonde Queen' with matching shorts and gloves – hair in a fighting ponytail.

Both girls chest up against another and are actively shoving each other back, taunting at one another as the ref manages to pull them backwards and orders them to participate in a clean fight. Both fighters offer each other warm smiles, though that doesn't necessarily reach their eyes as they gaze at one another coolly and touch gloves before heading back to their respective corners to await the match. The bell rings and the bout begins...

R1: It's feisty two-way scrapping between the two, with Winstead disrupting Yvonne's desire for rapid close and personal attacks. Yvonne sliding back in her stance, bouncing rights and lefts off of Mary's forehead to keep her off balance and is generally able to impose order on her brunette rival. However, Winstead erupts every time she is able to squirm in close, scrubbing in shots to her body with vigorous application when she manages to slide in close. Mary is very quick tonight, making it difficult for Yvonne to handle easily on the inside in a fast-paced first!

R2: Mary just furiously pasting away at Yvonne in one-sided fashion as she slugs up hard from the hips, just arcing her fists up and just driving forward with palm-down delivery. Yvonne doing a good job covering up and fighting out of the pocket, blocking and pivoting against ringing shots to the body. Winstead gathering Yvonne in with clawing hooks, then just digging in at her tummy and ribs, demonstrating a determined pursuit to Strahovski's body as she slides against the ropes. Yvonne is hard pressed, wincing and hair hanging into her face, disheveled as she's scuffed up against the ropes by a confident, beaming Winstead here in the second.

R3: Yvonne comes out swinging, bouncing a ringing right hand off of Winstead's forehead as her foe is stunned, covering up as she stumbles back in surprise. Yvonne is jabbing at Mary's guard, sidestepping her and Winstead is doing her best to bob in under fresh right hands by Strahovski. However, Vonnie digging in left hooks to Mary's body and tummy, just leaning in and scoring from the outside. Yvonne showing off with a smooth pivot-left around her hooks, looking very lithe, sleekly in motion as she outclasses Winstead this round. At the bell, it's a subdued Winstead and a rejuvenated Yvonne, just brushing hair out of her face as she jogs to her corner.

R4, 5: Yvonne slowly, but steadily imposing her will as Winstead keeps her guard up high, moving her head well but unable to get by Strahovski's piercing jab. The jab keeps slamming in against her forehead and tapping against her face, just sidestepping and poking away with pinpoint accuracy. It's hard, straight right hands issuing from Strahoski's shoulder as she is scoring away to Winstead's forehead, which sets up left uppercuts to tummy and jug! Winstead has her moments, slamming in straight-arm blows off of Strahovski's flanks, snatching up tight rights and left off of toned tummy, but it's Strahovski doing the bulk of the scoring productively through five.

R6: Cue comeback from Winstead, who is not going away easily. Strahovski deploying a lariat type shot, looping her right hand over to try to put Mary down. But, Mary pivoting away to avoid impact, coming back with left hooks and uppercuts to the body, set up by booming right hands from Winstead over the top. Vonnie is hurt and discouraged from Winstead's attack, bouncing right hands off of her head, but as Vonnie adjusts to cover her head, she just keeps scoring down low as she hammers in combinations to her abs. Strahovski visibly wearing down, crossing arms against her abs, mouth-breathing a bit as she stumbles towards her corner away from the hot punching until the ref finally pulls Winstead off of her at the bell!

R7: Winstead is refusing to go away, as she is trying to work her way inside to Strahovski's tummy and torso. Mary swaying in low, jamming away with hard rights and lefts to Aussie midsection as Strahovski is backpedaling a bit with concern showing on her face, abs reddening as she groans out. But, Strahovski able to regroup behind her stinging jab as it is a constant, punishing process of bringing Winstead to heel and trying to punish her for her continued insurrections here in a hard-hitting seventh round.

R8: In the first minute, STRAHOVSKI GOES DOWN! as Winstead comes in swinging, pitching from her hips to send a palm-down right hand that crashes into Yvonne's face and spins her to the right, dropping her to all fours just seconds into the round. Crowd roaring to its feet and Winstead doing the same, bounding to a neutral corner with renewed determination. Yvonne surprised, but gets up quickly, dazed but still extremely combative as she engages fiercely with Winstead as Mary pounces. It's a fast-paced exchange as Winstead goes straight to Strahovski's jugs, just scoring away as she delivers ringing rights and lefts, ripping away at her flank occasionally but Strahovski returning in kind as she delivers left and right uppercuts to her body. The middle minute is a wild slugfest, both of them just trading in a phone booth, scrounging for points and contact with rival body, but by the final minute, it's Winstead who is running ragged. Winstead is retreating towards the ropes, backing up out of the phone booth with tears but also determination in her eyes. A series of digging uppercutse in hot pursuit by Yvonne to Winnie's abs drop Mary to her knees. Winstead won't go down, with a wobbly Winstead getting up at 8, swooning but working to pull herself together. Strahovski looks impressed despite herself, but doesn't stop her relentless attack as Winstead is forced to cover up earmuff with her butt in ropes. Strahovski steps in and it's just too much Yvonne, with Strahovski squaring away as she plants down some of the best legs in the business, just ripping and lashing away at Winstead. Mary trying to survive until the round but she is being beaten into a stupor. Winstead tries to push free on her own underrated legs to freedom, but there is no one punch that does it. Mary just tilts forward and the ref and crowd are in shock as she pitches to her face. In wild fashion, it's KO8 Yvonne Strahovski!!

AFTER: Yvonne steps back to a neutral corner, turning to the crowd as she beams, flashing her famous smile as she waves and pumps her fist with excitement. On the other side of the ring, it's Mary who is getting helped to her feet, looking dazed and blinking, but when she is able to focus, she can see Yvonne Strahovski coming towards her. Yvonne has tossed off her gloves, which are quickly bundled up by Yvonne's corner people as they will be a hot Collector's item later and will end up being sold for charity no doubt. A charity might be able to funded for quite some time with the proceeds from the first, but hopefully not last, Body Paint bout between the two. With the look in Yvonne's eyes, it seems like she's set to give Mary some fuel for a rematch!

Yvonne goes to step forward as she smiles, going to trap a dazed Mary in her corner, as she looks over at Strahovski, who is a steely determination in her eyes. Strahovski licks her lips and shrugs her shoulder as if to say 'sorry' before she suddenly wraps her forearms around Winstead's head and locks in a FRONT SLEEPER! The crowd in surprise as the post-match humiliation between these two is taken up to another level. Previous bouts have included plenty of snark,some Walks of Shame and similar embarrassment, but Strahovski has not demonstrated any smothering prowess before. In fact, smothering at the lightweight and welterweight level has been relatively rare, but with the rise of JMDD, perhaps these type of displays will be more prevalent.

Mary certainly hopes that they won't be as nobody is more caught off guard by this display of animosity than her as Yvonne is forced to adjust, using her slightly smaller cleavage to press over Winstead's sweaty face. Mary is pushing at her hips and tugging at her hair, but Yvonne keeps those forearms curled around her head as Winstead manages to peel herself out of the corner, but Yvonne manages to shove her backwards into the turnbuckle while maintaining the smother!

It's close, but Yvonne manages to secure one of her breasts over Mary's mouth and nose, just curling in her biceps behind the back of Winstead's head to keep her face from escaping. Mary's eyes are widening at first, hearing her shout and curse muffled, panicking as she tries to push free as this might be her first smothering that she has experienced and certainly the first from her blonde rival. The rage in her eyes is intense, but it fades as she struggles to breathe, the fury and consciousness fading as she slumps down the turnbuckle. Yvonne, for her part, doesn't look like she's necessarily enjoying and almost looks regretful, but she continues to keep scrubbing her cleavage back, ensuring a tight seal until she releases Mary from her grip and she falls down hard Yvonne listens to the chants of the crowd, with accompanying hand-claps, as they chant “J-M-D-D!” and Yvonne acknowledges them by blowing them a kiss as she is approached by a swarm of reporters. Yvonne is handed a robe as the sweaty smother appears to have wiped off some of the Body Paint, which was deposited across Winstead's face, which now has streaks of blue and gold across it.

Yvonne takes a deep breathe, seemingly aware that she's escalated this rivalry a bit, but defending it to the press, “Listen, I want to make this clear, Mary is one of my best friends in this league, but she is also one of my biggest rival. I've lost to her more than anybody else and personally, I think it's because she takes advantage of our friendshp when we get into the ring. But, no longer, I didn't want to have to jug Mary out, but 2017 needs to be different. I can't let a rival brunette stand in my way any longer, not even Mary Elizabeth freaking Winstead, so I'm going to do what I have to do. I'm sorry that Mary had to serve as the lesson, but if I'm going to be the best, I have to take down the best and that's Winnie over there.” Yvonne leans down to deposit a kiss on the slumbering Winstead's forehead, then struts off confidently as she sets up for an interesting year ahead.

At press time, Mary Elizabeth Winstead was not able to be reached for comment, but rest assured, Foxfire Boxing and Mary will have something to say soon enough as another classic installment of this rivalry is in the books and another one looks to take place in the near future! One of the best rivalries in the FCBA kicks it up to another level....
