VIX: New Year’s Grindings - Taking place mid-January 2017

Pre-fight Press Conference / Weigh-ins / Match-Card

We are coming live again from the VIX headquarters and gym in Santa Monica for the press conference and weigh-ins for the VIX: New Year’s Grindings event. It’s a brand new year and one for the Vixens to shine as they continue to make their mark in the FCBA.

January’s theme is aligned with the theme of new beginnings and fresh starts, a chance for old grudges to begin afresh and for new blood to join the VIXEN ranks to prove their worth.

The official fight-card:

1. Lily Collins vs Emma Roberts (Flyweight)
2. Emily Ratajkowski vs Saoirse Ronan (Bantamweight)
3. Guest Appearances by: Amber Heard vs Audrina Patridge (Lightweight)
4. Nina Agdal vs Genevieve Morton (Lightweight)
5. Alexis Ren vs Caroline Kelley (Lightweight)
6. Co-Main Event: Megan Fox vs Kristin Cavallari (Flyweight)
7. Main Event: Bo Krsmanovic vs Kelly Rohrbach (Welterweight/JMDD)

Press-Conference / Weigh-ins

1. Lily Collins vs Emma Roberts (Flyweight)

In our first match of the evening, Lily Collins continues her dominance of American young starlets, eager to make another conquest over famed Hollywood actress Julia Roberts’ daughter, Emma Roberts.

Green Day’s ‘American Idiot’ is first to blare itself over the speakers as British beauty Lily Collins breaks through the curtains, giving the crowds her trademark laugh of contempt as they boo her. By contrast, Emma Roberts emerges to the tune of ‘America’s Sweetheart’ by Elle King, flashing her pearly-white, innocent grin to the cameras, having clearly inherited it from her mother.

Seated at opposite sides of the conference table, the starlets waste no time in trading barbs with one another.

“Emma Emma Emma… Let’s see, I know an Emma Watson. I know an Emma Burton. But an Emma Roberts? Didn't she appear for a while, then fade into obscurity?” Lily rhetorically asks the crowd, completely ignoring Roberts.

Emma refusing to play the villain, however, taking a more coy approach: “What Lily *Collins* fails to remember is that we are *both* products of famous parents. The only difference is that my family’s more well-known than yours.”

“And what Miss *Roberts* fails to understand is that our first name’s matter more than our last ones. You? You're only well known for getting knocked out or beaten flat on your arse.”

Baited words seem to have gotten their desired effect - Emma’s smile immediately drops, clearly seething in her seat.

“Bring it on, Collins. Maybe I’ll spank you like your daddy never did. Then perhaps you’ll learn some manners,” Emma retorts.

Bottled up tensions finally blow up during the weigh-in, when Collins pretends to engage in mock laughter straight in Robert’s face, then unceremoniously slaps her across her cheek with a WHAP when she’s least expecting it. Emma shocked as she clutches a side of her face, before retaliating with her own open palm to Collin’s. The two girls immediately lunge for each other, pulling hair and raking at clothes, forcing referees to pull them apart.

Definitely an interesting contrast in both style and stats: Lily seems clearly at an advantage with her longer reach and heavier frame, but Roberts has never been pushed so far mentally before.

2. Emily Ratajkowski vs Saoirse Ronan (Bantamweight)

Now onto the only Bantamweight bout, which sees Emily Ratajkowski try to exact her revenge on Saoirse Ronan, who defeated her in the New Blood Tournament held in September last year.

“That was before I joined VIXENs. Looked what has happened since: I’m on a winning streak and Saoirse still hasn't even been signed on to a stable. I think that speaks volumes about our capabilities.”

Saoirse looking slightly disappointment but cheeks quickly flaring up as she retorts: “I beat you once, Emily, fair and square,” she reminds the lean model. “If I have to beat you again to get the attention I deserve, so be it.”

Ratajkowski looking confident about her second chance in the ring - not too often those come by nowadays - determined not to underestimate her opponent a second time. Weigh-ins surprisingly civil: Ladies meet in the center - Ratajkowski in dark green bikini, Saoirse in orange. Both girls hold fists close to opposing chins, small smirks on faces.

First time these girls clashed, it went a gruelling 8 rounds. Saoirse looking to shine once again at the end with another knock-out of an overrated model?

3. Guest Appearances: Amber Heard vs Audrina Patridge (Lightweight)

Our first match of the night that features purely guest appearances from Amber Heard and Audrina Partridge, both Free Agents looking for an avenue to showcase what they can do, and what better place to do it with an open invitation from VIX?

"They called me," Amber declares. "Let's just say I don't fancy boxing for food or drinks on the curb."

Audrina, another Free Agent looking for a home, concurs, but takes the opportunity to knock on her opponent as well. "While Amber over there's fighting for chump change, I'm looking to get hired. So, all you scouting agents out there - watch me destroy Ms Heard tonight."

Amber shaking her head, not having wanted to get personal. "Audrina, what's it been? Five years since your last fight? Which you decidedly lost to Lindsay Lohan… seems like your career's the one that has already been destroyed."

Partridge not liking that comeback one bit. During weigh-ins, both girls come face-to-face, but mouths continuing to spew out abuse. Referee steps in between both ladies before it becomes physical.

4. Nina Agdal vs Genevieve Morton (Lightweight)

“I didn't ask for this fight, specifically,” Nina declares truthfully. “It’s that girl in the corner who’s pissed off at me for some reason.” Nina gestures over at Genevieve, who shoots back a look of pure irritation.

“You beat Jessica, then Samantha. Doesn't mean you’ll beat me.” Genevieve huffs, folding her arms over her chest.

Nina lets out a laugh. “I’m 2-0 over your *former* stablemates then. Tonight, it'll still be 2-0, Morton, because did I forget that you're now a Free Agent?” Nina rubbing salt into the wound.

Genevieve seems to be letting the fellow SI get into her head... responds by angrily storming off the set and back into the locker room, avoiding any more questions. "I'LL KILL HER," however, clearly the last thing audible.

Another Lightweight bout of the night sees Nina Agdal again on a warpath, leaving a trail of model-bodies behind. Will she be able to conquer Gen, or will Morton be able exact her vengeance for her fallen teammates?

5. Alexis Ren vs Caroline Kelley (Lightweight)

Another Lightweight battle in the works between former SI Rookie 2017 hopeful, Caroline Kelley and champion of the recent SI beach wrestling tournament, Alexis Ren, Ms Kelley having issued a challenge to Ms Ren immediately after their wrestling match to face her in the boxing ring instead, believing that she has more chance of delivering a whoop-ass to the overconfident blonde due to her many years of trainings and workouts in the ring.

Alexis obviously accepting the challenge, having never backed down from one yet, instead relishing the opportunity of sitting on Kelley's face yet again. "This time, Caroline, I'm smothering you out in every way conceivable. Someone needs to teach you a lesson that you're beneath me. And always will be," Ren states quite plainly at the conference table, whilst Caroline's face clearly turns a bright shade of pink, recalling their previous encounter on the sands.

"I've watched and studied your matches - they're pathetic," Caroline retorts with an equally contemptuous conclusion. "You resort to cheap mind games to get your win, even resorting to seducing your trainer before and after a match..." Caroline grins through her last statement, watching Alexis' face turn to crimson as she continues: "Since you like giving nicknames so much, I wonder why people don't start calling you Alexis *Rent*, since you spread your legs so often.”

Ms Ren unable to decide between anger and embarrassment at being insinuated that her body's for hire. She has trouble controlling her voice as she responds with a low growl: "How f*cking dare you? I was nice enough to grant you this second ass-kicking, but now I'm done being nice. I'm gonna break your little body, you little b*tch."

Caroline smirks - mission accomplished, she thinks. "Bring it on, you little whore."

Both girls know the rules of the weigh-ins - cunning foxes stride calmly towards each other so as to not tip off the officials close by, then as they reach striking distance, both hellions charge at one another, their bodies colliding with cursing, slapping, squealing.

What can we say? We should have known better.

6. Co-Main Event: Megan Fox vs Kristin Cavallari (Flyweight)

Our second Flyweight bout sees the long-awaited arrival of Megan Fox’s VIXENs debut. Fans have been anticipating the arrival of the gorgeous starlet for a while now, who is arguably the biggest celebrity to grace the VIXEN ranks yet. Of course, whatever good feelings are created also generate similar feelings of animosity and jealousy. Word is some of the VIX members are grumbling over the addition of such a mega-star having eclipsed their own.

Minutes to Midnight’s ‘What I’ve Done’ blasts over the speakers and a grinning Megan Fox struts out the walkway like a Victoria Secret model, bright pink silk overcoat highlighting her toned body, hugged by a black bra and briefs. Megan doesn't sit down at the table immediately, instead catwalks to the center of the stage, strikes a pose that allows her robe to flutter to the ground in front of the flashing cameras.

Kristin’s entrance to the arena decidedly muted in comparison. The KINK’s ‘You Really Got Me’ plays, offering a different tone altogether. Kristin donning a white, semi-secured looking robe around her waist as she heads directly to the table, spoiling any expectations for her fans to disrobe in similar fashion. After the usual questions directed at both ladies, a fan shouts out from the crowd: “Kristin, you joining the Vixens too?”

The smile on Kristin’s face is only matched by the scowl on Megan’s. “Well, it’s no secret that I’m still looking for a stable, so anything is possible.”

“Let’s not forget who got signed where today. It’s my debut today 'kay, Kristin? Not yours.” Megam immediately interrupts into the mic, not liking the spotlight being on someone else.

Kristin laughs as she replies: “You seem to care more about your fanbase than being a real fighter. How about you put your new contract on the line today? When I whoop your ass, maybe they’ll give it to me instead?”

Megan immediately stands up and makes towards Kristin, shouting abuse at her rival. Mic picks up words like ‘b*tch ass’ and ‘bring it on’ as Kristin also scrapes her chair as jumps to her feet. Officials rush in to prevent further altercation when Kristin starts poking Megan in her chest and gets shoved backwards by the starlet.

Definitely an interesting debut, one that VIX management will be looking at strongly as to which star shines the brightest.

7. Main-Event: Bo Krsmanovic vs Kelly Rohrbach (Welterweight, JMDD)

Our main event of the evening is a Welterweight clash between newly minted Bo Krsmanovic and Kelly Rohrbach - both girls recently released from Los Ingobernables together and now finding themselves rivals in the Welterweight division in VIX, eager to steal the top spot from Hannah Ferguson.

Speaking of Ferguson, while she might not be fighting in this card, the previously undefeated Vixen couldn't resist inspecting the new goods for herself, planting herself as guest referee in the bout in the guise of ‘just wanting to help out’, but the Vixens by now know of Hannah’s competitive side and wonder what she’s really up to. The press conference sees Ferguson first to be on stage, dressed in a sexy black-and-white striped referee top, tied up in a knot in the center to highlight Hannah’s bare body complete with black sports briefs. She sits down after sufficient attention has been ladled on her, making the introductions for her new competitors:

“Ladies and gentlemen… Introducing first, from who-knows-where and god knows how to pronounce her name, she’s been beaten down by me once before, BO KRSMANOVIC!!”

Hannah clearly enjoying herself as she gestures to the curtains, mispronouncing Bo’s surname horribly so that it sounds more like ‘Kiss my nose vac.' Bo herself clearly not impressed by the attempt, emerges from the curtains with a scowl on her face. But the crowd is clearly on her side, cheering her on by shouting her name (correctly this time). Bo raises both hands to greet them, blue bikini covered by a snow-white robe. Hannah makes no acknowledgement as Bo takes her seat at the table, immediately moves on to her next victim.

“Aaannd her opponent whose name I *also* have no idea how to pronounce... she’s the older, less-hot version of me… Keeelly Rohrbach!!” this time dragging out the poor girl’s surname as though she were gurgling water and then spitting it out like mouth wash.

If Kelly minded the insult, however, it clearly doesn't show. The 26-year old blonde emerges from backstage donning a sunflower string bikini covered by a pink robe, all smiles and waving to the crowd. It’s not until all three Vixens are seated that Hannah’s true intentions shine through. Her first question:

“So, girls, who do you think’s the better fighter? Me, or me?” Ferguson smirks, thinking she just tripped them up for a response, but neither girl smiles back and there's a painful silence in the audience. Kelly decides that she’ll bite anyways, addressing Bo directly:

“Well, between us, Bo, I would say we are kinda equal in terms of power and size. One thing’s for sure though, we’re both better than that Ferguson character.”

“Agreed,” Bo laughs from the other side of the table, leaving a scowling Ferguson to fume in the middle as the audience clearly breaks out into laughter with them.

But Ferguson refusing to get off her throne. “Rumour has it though that the VIX Welterweight division has no need for additional talent. That Hannah Ferguson is the ONE and ONLY ONE star that VIX needs.”

Bo’s turn to immediately fire back: “If there was a star, I certainly didn't see her when she last fought Tahnee Atkinson.”

At the mention of that name, Hannah goes extremely red-faced, recalling her humiliation at the hands of her rival in the last JMDD tournament.

“Looks like her star’s not shining so brightly anymore,” Kelly smirks, joining in.

Hannah, however, tries to salvage herself by standing up suddenly and declaring, “That’s enough questions for today.” She gestures to the crowd. “You guys are here to watch Bo and Kelly fight for second and third place in the pecking order, and I’d bet you can't wait to see them beat the sh*t out of each other.”

Kelly and Bo oblige the cheering audience, striding up to one another with large grins on their faces, confident that their stars are clearly on the rise in the VIX Welterweight roster. Is this the end of Ms Ferguson however, having clearly lost some of her fans after her last bout. Only time will tell if this new competition will sink her further or drive her to rise up to the challenge.
