Intro: The next bout on PPV sees the debut of Mia Wasikowska taking on last years New Blood flyweight champion Chloe Moretz.
Mia is 27 years old, 5'4 and from Australia but as her surname suggests, she is half Polish on her mothers side, she's most famous for playing Alice in the Tim Burton movie Alice in Wonderland. Her opponent Chloe made a splash last year, at 19 years old, she beat Taylor Sprietler, then Ariel Winter in the New Blood tournament final, both by knockout, to be crown the first ever New Blood flyweight champ.
Both blondes come face to face at the press conference and boy is it intense, a knife couldn't cut through the tension, both girls the same height, stand nose to nose, just staring into the others eyes, searching for a weakness.
Organisers come to separate the two so they can talk to the media, but neither seems to want to move as they seem to be looking in a mirror reflection of themselves. Chloe seems to lose her temper first, giving Mia a shove and when her counterpart is about to strike, security rushes to separate the two.
Leading them to their tables, the girls sit but turn and scowl at each other, that is till Chloe is asked to stand and speak.
The spitfire starts by saying "look Mia, I can see the looks on these peoples face, but newsflash, you are not like me and never will be"
Mia quickly replies "I wouldn't want to be a little s*** like you!"
Which gets security involved as Chloe makes a move for her rival.
Chloe answers back "bytch! I won the New Blood tournament, I made history, while you've sat and hid from a fight, why my agents picked a skank like you is beyond me"
But Mia with a quick wit it seems, replies "I don't know either, getting your ass handed to you by me won't do your prospects any favours"
Chloe loses it, screaming bloody murder as she rushes towards Mia, who is up and after Chloe, but security stays between the girls, dragging the enraged girls kicking and screaming off the stage. The weigh in wasn't much better, both girls in black bikinis, staring at each other through the process, security always around them.
Chloe can be heard calling Mia "fat f***ing pig" which gets a riled up Mia off the scales and security stands between the girls, while insults fly and some guards get shoved and nearly hit when the girls nearly break through and take a swing at each other.
Luckily for organisers of the PPV, the girls are kept apart till it's fighting time, now it's time as Chloe is the first onto the entrance ramp to the ring.
The New blood champ walks down the ramp in normal gear for once, evidently not in the mood for her usual gimmicky entrance. Instead she is wearing a violet sports bra and trunks like she wore for her Hit Girl tribute gear she wore in the new blood semis, she completes the look with black shoes and gloves. She nearly sprints down to the ring, walking briskly down as her coach is trying to calm her down, as the crowd even notice her attitude and while normally loud for her, most are talking to each other about the situation.
She climbs into the ring and waves Mia to come on out, security filters into the ring to make a barrier across the centre of the ring, no glove touches tonight it seems.
Mia finally comes out, staring daggers into the ring at her rival, she storms down to the ring with her coach also trying to calm her down. The camera finally sees that she's wearing a blue sports bra, blue and white chequered trunks and dark blue gloves and shoes. She climbs into the ring and the girls shout for security to get out the way so they can get to each other, it's that bad, two referees currently stand in the ring, both telling the girls on their side of the ring to calm down or the fight won't be allowed to start. Both fighters of course complain about the situation, but start to calm down as they realise shouting won't get things moving. The referees nod to each other and the one nearest Mia leaves the ring so the one nearest Chloe can officiate the fight. Signaling to the timekeeper, security leaves the ring and the bell is rung to start 10 rounds of flyweight action.
Round 1: Off they go, the two girls circling each other, text book style it seems for Mia, Chloe keeping her left low, moving her head from the jabs being thrown early on. Chloe landing her own jab, working it up and down her target for maximum coverage and getting less hits in return, clearly frustrating Mia right away as she did through the New Blood tournament. Mia starts to unload fast combos to back Chloe up, showing she has some fire in her belly, but Chloe moves her head out of the way of most to the delight of her fans. She doesn't dodge a right to the body though, Mia drives forward with a jab and right cross that lands up top and suddenly Chloe is in a fight. The girls move around the ring like fireflies but due to being the same height, they are connecting with most of their shots, just rifling them in and getting grunts from each combatant. As the round enters it's final minute, Mia was coming on strong, catching Chloe with a good right cross and pushes her back with a good left to the body. Chloe though steps out the way of an attempted haymaker to her head, Mia showing her inexperience and paying for it with a chopping right to her chin, making her shake her head. Then Moretz drives ahead, landing a right cross to set up a left hook to knock Mia towards a corner, the Aussie just getting out of the way of heading into the corner. With the girls standing toe to toe when the final 10 seconds are rung, the crowd cheering both girls on as they land with multiple shots. The bell rings with both beautiful blondes just about stopping, the referee having to order both fighters back to their corners as they stare each other down. Finally they do head back, stewing on their stools, while their coaches go to work cleaning both girls up and telling them how they are going to win this.
Round 2: Chloe looks to have stepped up a gear first, she's counterpunching Mia after lulling her in with her footwork, coming forward to look like she'll start brawling, then stepping side to side and back to crack Wasikowska to the face. Mia shakes her head, telling Chloe isn't hurting her, coming forward and the girls trade a flurry of punches, till Moretz steps in with her head moving to dodge a straight to land a right to the left cheek to turn Mia's head. The Aussie steps back to get a moment, but Chloe doesn't give her a second to recover, landing a straight up top to push her back even more. Mia starts to fight back, landing some stiff shots up top, but after a flurry from both girls thuds through the others guards, Chloe again uses her speed, stepping to the right this time to dodge a straight and landing her own through a gap in Mia's defence. While Mia has shown some good skill, it's looking like Chloe is a step above in the technique department, drawing Mia in for another good flurry of four punches, raining them up top. Swelling is starting to form around the left eye of Mia, Chloe starting to find it with unnerving accuracy, the crowd look like they want blood, cheering Chloe on now as Mia's fans struggling to get their voices heard at the moment. Late in the round, Mia lands a good right to turn Chloe's head, the voices in the crowd change as Wasikowska shoves her head down and rushes forward to bang away to the body of Chloe. The American doesn't waste much energy, clinching up and sneaking some kidney shots in for good measure, till the referee separates the girls and warns Chloe about the kidney blows. 10 seconds to go in the round, both girls square up again, trying to make sure every punch they land means something as the crowd eat it up. "Ding" the bell sounds, but each fighter throws a punch after the bell to the body of the other, clearly done on purpose judging by the angry red faces of both girls. If not for the referee, they would have kept going, instead slightly to return to their corners, where Mia's team look to reduce the swelling around her left eye, while Chloe looks happy but she's starting to get sore already.
Round 3: Mia realising she has to get into this fight in a more aggressive manner is working on the front foot, the key is not to react to Chloe first is her coaches words and she is certainly using that advice. She's pounding her way forward, While Chloe tries to faint to open up Mia, the Australian girl is sending punch after punch after Moretz and it's putting her onto her heels. The crowd noise is quickly changing, Chloe fans stunned that their girl is being forced to fight back from her back foot, while Mia lands a good right and left hook up too to knock Chloe's head around. Chloe manages to create space to breath but Mia comes rushing in and the two slug it out in tight, Chloe looking to meet the challenge, heads touching as they beat the others body till they both clinch up. Even the clinch is a test for both girls, grappling with each other till the referee steps in to pull them apart. Back comes Mia, trying to step back into the the space between them, but Chloe lands a left jab after she steps out the way of Mia and the fight slows down for a few seconds as both take stock on what is happening. Moretz looks up and down Mia as they trade single shots, thinking to herself "damn it" especially as Mia times another charge forward, landing a sweeping right hook that wobbles Chloe. The crowd look stunned as Mia brings the fight to Chloe, Moretz forced to clinch this time, clearly rattled by the girl she sees as a physically inferior clone to herself, that doesn't look the case now. Separated, Chloe is on the defensive, her left hand is up now, not laying low like she prefers and Mia eats up the distance again to make her opponent give everything she's got or be swarmed with quick fire three and four punches at a time. A "Mia!" Chant rings out around the arena as she knocks Chloe to the ropes with seconds to go and when the bell rings, Mia raises her fists to the crowd as she turns and heads to her corner. Chloe gives her a hard stare, clearly picturing daggers in the back of her rival blonde, before she heads to her corner, so her coach can try and reduce the swelling to the left side of her face.
Round 4: Mia again takes the front foot, badgering Chloe around the ring, sending multiple punches at her opponent. Chloe doing her best to cover up, firing some counter shots, till Mia cracks her to the body, seeing an opening in Chloe's defence, Wasikowska shoves Moretz to the ropes and bangs away to the flanks. Moretz is in a bad spot and she certainly knows it, sweat is flying off her body and thuds echo in the ring, till Chloe can push herself off the ropes to clinch up. The referee let's them fight in the clinch, the girls sneaking shots to the others side, till the ref sees that they are not going to break apart themselves, so does it himself. Back in space, Chloe starts working her viper like jab out again, but Mia cracks her over the top with a good right hook and her fans groan as loud as Moretz does, is this going to be an upset? Mia is definitely in the zone, forcing Chloe to have to work in tight, Moretz wanting to get to a safe distance again but finding her opponent in her face. Chloe manages to find a gap in Mia's defence to lunge forward with her left hand and Mia's head snaps back and the momentum changes back again. Chloe cracking that right hand into the swollen eye of Mia, who yelps in pain and now Moretz throws a barrage of punches to rock Mia backwards to the ropes. Mia is now the one to fight her way off the ropes and clinches up to protect herself, her left is looking bad, it's closing up from the shots in the first two rounds. Separated, the girls circle, taking a moment to take a breath and take stock again, knowing the round is coming to an end, they quickly return to battering each other. But with seconds to go, Chloe lands to the ribs of Mia with a right and left hook, then an uppercut and Mia stumbles back. The bell rings with Chloe frustrated, shouting at the ceiling "f***!" As she heads back to her corner, with her coach quick to clean up her face and go to reduce the swelling again. Mia looks a mess, while she's been strong on top the last few rounds, her left eye is nearly shut and is bruising up, everytime it's touched, she grimaces and fights to not let out a scream in pain.
Round 5: The girls meet near the ring centre, Mia is still in trouble it appears as Chloe is opening her up with stinging jabs, the Aussie trying to protect her left eye. Mia gamely comes forward, landing a good right to the body of Chloe, but she doesn't get out the way in time of a left hook from Moretz. The American then adds a straight to that swollen eye, causing Mia to let out a "f***!" Before an uppercut snaps her head back and down goes Wasikowska! The referee starts his count, as Chloe goes to a neutral corner and looks ready to pounce if needs be on Mia to keep her down. Though Mia isn't moving, just laying on her back, her good right eye blinking as she's in too much pain to get up and fight, allowing the referee to reach 10 and end the fight.
Winner: Chloe Moretz KO Round 5
After: Chloe goes over to her corner and with her warm smile finally appearing tonight, she bumps fists with her coach, who pats her on the back to show that he's proud of his student. Mia meanwhile tries to shove herself back up, but begins to slip with her gloves on the canvas and her coach has to help her up to take her over to her stool.
Both girls get their gloves taken off and Chloe surprises everyone in the ring, she charges over to Mia's corner and slaps her with a taped hand, aiming to get as much of the swollen eye as she could. Mia sheds a few tears as the pain shoots through her face and as the coaches nearly start fighting in undignified scenes, Chloe pulls Mia off her stool and shoves her to all fours.
"Time to walk my bytch!" Says Chloe, pulling Mia by her short blonde hair up to all fours and ordering her with an angry tone "I told you, walk!"
Mia sobs loudly, crawling on all fours around the ring, her fans booing Chloe, but being drown out by Chloe's, who anytime she looks displeased at Mia's progress on her lap of shame around the ring, kicks her up her behind, getting a laugh from her coach and fans.
Finally Mia completes the lap and Chloe getting to her own knees, drags Mia up to a kneeling position to whisper into her left ear "you'll never be in my class" before tossing Mia back down to the canvas on her back. Mia's coach finally gets a time to step in and protect his girl, some would ask why he didn't earlier?
Chloe hugs her coach and leaves up the ramp to go celebrate, as medics help Mia up the ramp moments after the winner is in the back.
Later in the night, Chloe is changed into a white tracksuit with sandals on in her locker room, a few select journalists are allowed in to speak with her. Chloe states for the media "anyone who doubts me compared to Mia, better never question me over my superiority of her again!"
A journalist asks "well she did give you a fight, was it harder than you expected?" Which gets a deathly stare from Chloe.
"She gave her all and it didn't come close, that's the facts, I don't expect seeing her again after what I did to her, if she does become stupid, then it'll be a worse punishment" replies Chloe. Chloe adds "all you guys need to know is, I want to push on this year, 2017 is going to be everyone's year right? Well I'm not going to just say it, I'm going to make a statement in that ring everytime I step in it" Then as she nods to her coach, he tells the assembled media to shove off, and as they leave the room, Chloe and her coach begin discussing already how they can make 2017 as great as 2016 was for them.
