 Intro:
Kaya Scodelario meets Erin Richards in the latter's debut fight, as
the Welsh actress looks to start her career off on the right foot
against the Londoner Kaya.
Kaya herself has a record of 9 wins in all competitions and 3 losses,
she's won all her fights by knockout but only has a 3 and 3 record in
the FCBA.
Erin is 30 years old, 5'5 and is most famous for playing Barbara Keen
in Gotham, luckily she isn't as mad as a hatter like her TV character.
The girls come face to face at the press conference and both stare
competitively at the other, as there isn't any malice between the two
yet.
Going to the tables designated for themselves, Kaya is asked to speak
first "I know my manager thinks highly of Erin and her work on Gotham,
that is why I have been put forward to give her an experience she
won't forget soon enough"
Asked about her arch nemesis Willa Holland, Kaya replies "I'm going to
get her soon, she's pushed her luck too far messing with my business,
so while Ashley wants her, I'm first in line for that bytch"
Her face is curled up into an annoyed look at the journalists, she
finishes by saying "but first I'm going to rip Erin apart, OK!" As she
sits down with a pissed look.
Erin looks pissed off herself as she stares across at Kaya, not
believing the younger woman can be so arrogant she feels.
"Listen Kaya, I'm glad your manager likes me but he could have sent a
girl who knows respect, I'll teach you it soon enough" says Erin as
Kaya scowls across at her.
"Gotham has taken up most of my time, but now the show is up and
running, I can do more outside projects as they say and celeb boxing
is one of the things I always wanted to try" adds Erin as she smiles
at the sea of Journalists.
"My costar and best friend Jessica Lucas has just stepped into the
ring and we've been sparring over the past two months, here's hoping
I'm a natural" finishes Erin.
Then her and Kaya are thrust back face to face for the cameras,
clearly having a nasty conversation over what they plan on doing on
fight night.
Security separates the girls and they walk off the stage with pissed
looks on their faces, maybe just stopped from getting physical with
each other.
Fight night, Kaya is out first, she has Taryn Terrell by her side and
Eva Carneiro as she walks down to the ring.
She gets a good sized cheer as she nods to her fans but looks deep in
thought, before she climbs into the ring.
She is wearing a black sports bra and black and red chequered trunks,
her gloves are red and her shoes match colour, to complete her look,
her brunette hair is braided as she warms up in her corner.
Out comes Erin now, by her side is Team Canada's Jessica Lucas and
their trainer Nicole De Boer, is that a hint to the future or a one
off?
Erin bounces down to the ring, almost jogging as she looks desperate
to get started and Jessica has to warn her to calm down.
Entering the ring, Erin is wearing a red sports bra and trunks that
are split in two, one half is a Welsh flag, the other is black with a
silver bat symbol to show her two parts of her life.
She completes the look with red gloves and boots of her own, her
blonde hair is tied into a ponytail to complete her look.
The girls come face to face, exchanging a few choice words as the
referee reads out his final instructions for both girls to follow.
Asked to touch gloves, the girls bump gloves with more a swipe then a
real effort to show respect, showing that maybe both need to learn
that word.
Returning to their corners to get their gumshields, then the referee
signals for the bell to begin 10 rounds of bantamweight boxing action.

Round 1:
Out come the girls, testing each other out in the early going, Erin
getting her first test of official fighting, as she gets into a
jabbing exchange with her brunette opponent.
Kaya quickly changes pace, sending some quick shots around the guard
of Erin, before moving herself out of the range of Richards with her
good footwork.
Erin comes forward to land two good shots up top but gets hit with
three quick shots, two to the body and the last to the left cheek.
The girls separate for a quick moment, judging each other, then
heading back in to start trading in tight, cheeks touching as their
heads are that close, pounding the others bodies in a testing moment
for both.
Kaya retreats first, getting answers from the exchange she didn't
like, but she quickly finds a rhythm, using her extra reach to spike
her jab more cleanly into the face of Erin.
The blonde still striking back, but she's finding herself being out
manoeuvred by the younger girl, Kaya working around Erin, whose trying
to walk down  her opponent.
A four punch combo, two to the body and two up top shows what Erin is
up against, the Welsh lass shaking her head, telling Kaya "you'll have
to do better"
Kaya smirks as she continues to school Erin through the round, ducking
some wild shots from Richards to land simply shots, jabs, straights
and body shots to control the late part of the round.
The bell rings with Erin looking frustrated, staring hard at Kaya, who
jogs back to her and nods to her corner team.
Jessica tries to calm her friend down, telling her "don't lose your
focus, you know you can win this, you can only do that with your head
screwed on properly" which gets a nod from Erin, who takes a deep
breath.
Round 2:
Back out come the girls, Kaya controlling the early pace, working on
the outside, jabbing away at the guard of Erin.
Before Kaya moves her punches down to the body of Erin, working with
looping shots around the guard.
Erin cracks Kaya with a right hook from out the guard and drives
forward with a surprisingly quick barrage to knock Kaya onto her
heels.
Kaya tries to get her safe distance back, but Erin keeps on her
opponent, swinging shots at the head of Scodelario, who covers up and
has to fire out of the pocket.
The girls move apart for a moment, Erin giving chase and both girls
square up and trade in close, the crowd loving this action as the
girls give each other no quarter.
Kaya yelps and steps back again, showing that Erin seems to be the
bigger hitter, blood flows from a cut bottom lip on Kaya's face.
Erin steps forward, pounding forward with the jab to control the pace
for herself, forcing Kaya to fight in tight, not letting her get far
away now to breath and pundits who had Kaya a definite favourite maybe
rewriting those predictions.
Late in the round, Kaya manages to create space and strikes through
the guard of Erin, then she digs in to hammer away to the body of
Richards.
The girls trading in close, with Kaya trying to impose her own will on
her blonde opponent, but finding a brick wall.
The bell rings with both girls giving the other a hard look, then they
head back to their corners to get cleaned up, Kaya of course needing
her lip cleaned up, while Erin has some redness on her face.
Round 3:
Kaya knowing know the task she's been presented, moves quicker now on
her toes, Erin continues to be a thorn in her side though.
The two trading stiff shots as the square up, but Kaya uses her head,
leaning out of the way of a left hook, then coming back with a three
punch combo, (straight, left hook and right to the body) to make Erin
groan and step back.
Kaya doesn't rush straight in, staying patient with her shots, working
around Erin again, comfortable in her game plan.
Though Erin is still landing some good shots, at this range, it's
clear that Kaya is landing the greater volume of shots, she's been
allowed to work and Erin isn't getting close enough to shut that down.
Kaya lands a right straight, then lands two lefts to the ribs of the
blonde, who has to clinch up to her, the girls shoving each other with
their bodies, the referee pulls the girls apart and the fight starts
up again.
Erin surprises Kaya with a left hook to her head, stunning her and now
with just under a minute to go in the round, the Welsh fighter has her
chance to press ahead.
Kaya is knocked back with a hard straight to her lips, causing more
blood to run down her chin, Scodelario being forced into a brawl.
The crowd are standing at the girls stand and trade, heads being
turned, sweat flying into the air and the thud of leather on flesh has
the crowd ready to rush from their seats to the guard rails around
ringside, just to take a better look at the brutality in front of
them.
The bell ends with both girls now bloodied, Kaya's lips are dripping
blood onto her jugs, while Erin has a cut on the bridge of her nose.
No words or glares are exchanged, both girls just want to be cleaned
up and put back on their way to hopefully winning.
Round 4:
Kaya looks to control the pace again, flicking the jab out to seek
openings, but Erin is more aggressive, stepping forward with a hooking
drive, forcing Kaya to cover up.
Erin is working Kaya towards the ropes, if not for the better footwork
of the younger woman, Erin would have Kaya stuck on the ropes with
these power drives.
Both girls trade at midrange, single punches landing as Kaya is on the
back foot, Erin pressuring her opponent, looking to wear her down and
out, but Kaya is durable so it's proving a hard task.
Erin lands a clean right to the side of Kaya's body, the brunette
wincing under that shot, as she fires two defensive jabs to keep the
blonde back till she can get space to breath.
The Gotham actresses eyes seem to zone in on her target, landing a
good straight punch, as both girls land a jab at the same time, but
Erin lands a right cross and Kaya has to dance her way backwards to
find space.
Late in the round, Kaya sneaks a counter right through the guard of
Erin to the nose of Erin, Scodelario finding momentum now to bash Erin
backwards.
The blonde touches the ropes with her back and it spurs her to fight
back, the two girls slugging it out, both girls clinch together and
Kaya pins Erin back onto the ropes.
The bell rings with both girls stuck together, slowly they peel apart,
clearly not trusting each other as they turn their heads to each other
and glare at each other.
Heading back to their corners, the girls are starting to look bad,
both have swelling on their cheeks, Kaya's lips trickle more blood,
her corner working to fix that.
Erin's nose is bleeding on it's bridge, covering the top of her nose
in blood, Nicole cleaning it up as Jessica smiles at her, the two
women happy with her work rate up to now.
Round 5:
Back come the girls at each other, Erin pushing forwards, using her
momentum from the end of the last round to pressure Kaya with multiple
shots thrown up top.
Kaya protecting her head, parrying some shots as she starts to search
for space and when she finds it, now it's Kaya whose finding the
better shots.
Using her experience, fainting with her punches to open up Erin,
swinging hooks through the openings, Erin is looking to be hurting.
Jessica and Nicole in Erin's corner are starting to look worried, Erin
is reacting to Kaya's tricks, she's still landing some good shots to
push Kaya back, but is getting hit on her nose to jar her head.
Kaya lands an uppercut as Erin goes for a hard right hand, the blondes
legs wobbling, clearly hurt as Scodelario drives on behind a barrage,
four punches go unanswered to the head and Erin falls into the ropes.
The brunette lands a right hook to finally put Erin down to her side
right next to the ropes, the blonde is out cold and the referee checks
before waving the fight off.

Winner: Kaya Scodelario KO Round 5

After:
Kaya wipes the blood from her bottom lip and raises her gloves to the
crowd, giving the girls a round a applause for a hard fight.
Jessica, Nicole and the doctor rush over to Erin to check her over,
the blonde is still slumbering after that onslaught at the end of the
fight.
A few moments go by and Erin wakes up to see people surrounding her
and has to be helped up by her friends to her stool.
Erin can't help but look down at the canvas, she had started so well
in her mind, to find herself knocked out is a shock to her system.
After getting their gloves taken off, Jessica and Nicole stare at
Kaya, who comes over alone to Erin's corner, the blondes friends ready
to rip Kaya apart if she tries anything.
But Kaya simply holds her fist out, her face showing no love for Erin
and the blonde at first just glaring at Kaya, before after a tense few
moments, she finally does bump fists in a sign of respect and both nod
at each other.
Clearly they are still not friends, but as Kaya heads to the centre of
the ring for the final announcement, respect has been gained on both
sides of this fight.
Erin is helped from the ring, the crowd showing love for the blonde
beauty, tonight just wasn't her night, but there should be plenty to
come in future.
Not long after, Kaya leaves the ring, her face still a mask of deep
thought, thinking of what she wants to do and who she has to get
through.
As she enters the hall to get to the stable locker room, journalists
rush up to speak to the winner, as she decides to clear her mind it
seems.
"First I have to give Erin credit, she is no creampuff and I'm betting
that's not the last we've seen of each other, I just hope she doesn't
get too good" says Kaya with a small smile on her sore face.
But then it comes to the real thing she wants to get off her chest
"Willa Holland, you better accept my challenge for next month! I'm
sick of looking over my shoulder, wondering what scheme your coming up
with next"
Staring hard into the camera, envisioning the face of Willa, Kaya
finishes by saying "get your affairs in order Willa, I'm coming to end
this feud with you knocked out cold!"

Kaya storms off towards the lockers, Taryn and Eva acting like security, Taryn shouting "press conference is over guys and girls, back to the shire you go" before they manage to let Kaya get into the
locker room, swiftly followed by the duo.
Some journalists swear they saw someone who just happened to look like Willa Holland at the other end of the corridor, fists clenched, but as the crowd of interviewers turned around, the figure was gone, striding off around the corner.
