Intro:
This bout sees the debut of one of the two Brooklyn Nine Nine stars as
Melissa Fumero has a big task ahead of her in Kendall Jenner.
Melissa is 34 years old, 5'9 and as stated; is famous for playing Amy
Santiago in Brooklyn Nine Nine, she is from New Jersey.
Meanwhile, Kendall Jenner comes into this fight, aged 21 and is 5'10
1/2, her record is 5 wins, all by knockout and 2 defeats, she is also
the first winner of the Lightweight New Blood tournament from last
year.
Meeting at the press conference, Kendall seems dismissive of Melissa,
not really looking at her then really around her.
Melissa to her credit bumps bodies with Kendall and suddenly things
feel tense, the girls are nose to nose and Fumero now has her
opponents attention.
Security has to pull both girls back, the fighters eyes not leaving
each others as they stare hard at each other, letting the other know
they are fully focused on the other.
When it's time for talking, Kendall is asked to speak first, standing
up, the model looks around her "court" with a smile, as the girl who
dubs herself Queen talks to her subjects.
"I'm going to state what this fight is, it's a tune up, pure and
simple, so Melissa; don't get above your station" says Kendall, whose
normally cocky but not to this degree, evidently riled up by her
opponents actions.
"Beating Dawson at the end of last year will hopefully be my starting
block for this year, I have plans of course, beat up as much big names
as I can, get management and get a title" states Kendall, with not so
small dreams it appears.
Melissa gets her chance to talk, she starts by saying "boxing may not
seem like the place for a normally calm girl like myself right?"
Then she adds "but I'm Cuban and we don't take crap from anyone,
especially pampered princesses, who have been handed work on a plater,
while I worked my ass off to get my jobs"
Kendall storms over to Melissa and security is too late to get between
the warring fighters, hair is being pulled as they slap at bodies and
some sneak onto cheeks.
It's an undignified look for two women who normally look prim and
proper, but it seems they've really gotten under the others skin in no
time at all.
Separated by security, their brunette hair is a mess, the dresses
they've worn to the event have small tears in and Melissa has a broken
left heel, which she promptly kicks off with her other shoe, as
Kendall does like wise.
The two girls begging the other to come and get some, two different
worlds clashing here, but to the sadness of journalists getting a
ringside seat, the girls are dragged off stage in opposite directions
and joking boos ring out.
Fight night, out comes Melissa with her coach by her side, she looks
calm and collected as she bounces on her toes on the top of the ramp.
She walks down to the ring wearing a navy blue sports bra, navy blue
trunks with white trim, matching gloves and shoes, while her brunette
hair is tied up into a bun.
Entering the ring to a loud cheer, Melissa smiles to the crowd, but
it's not long till she heads to her corner to prey before the fight.
Out comes Kendall, she has Bella Hadid as usual it seems next to her,
the two of them looking down at the ring like two lionesses spotting
their prey.
Kendall begins to strut down to the ring with a long flowing white
robe on, she shows why she's a supermodel, as all eyes drift to her as
she works the ramp as if she were on a catwalk in Paris.
Before she climbs into the ring, Bella helps Kendall take her robe off
to reveal her seemingly trademark gear, a white sports bra with her
initials K.J in golden writing, her trunks are also white but have
Queen written on the waistband in gold and she completes the look with
red gloves and white shoes, her hair is tied into a ponytail and she
has her striking red lipstick on to complete her look.
Entering the ring, Kendall raises her right fist to the crowd, they
show their support for her, especially the young women in the crowd,
which makes Melissa scowl at Kendall, evidently thinking she's not a
good role model.
Asked to come to the ring centre, the girls go nose to nose and
whisper nasty little insults at each other, 24 hours doesn't seem to
have calmed them down one bit.
The ref finishes his instructions and asks for a touch of gloves,
Kendall bangs hers on top of Melissa to show how little she respects
the slightly smaller girl.
Melissa just shakes her head in reply, before they return to their
corners to finish warming up and getting their gumshields in.
The referee makes sure everyone who shouldn't be in the ring is out of
it, happy with everything, he signals for the bell to start 10 rounds
of lightweight action.

Round 1:
"Ding" out come the girls, Kendall using her range advantage straight
from the off, jabbing away to the guard of Melissa, the Latin girl is
moving her head, trying to close the distance quickly.
As Melissa gets close to Kendall, the youngster lands two shots up
top, then as Fumero grunts, a follow up shot to the body makes Melissa
have to think about what she's got to do.
Kendall keeps the pressure up on Melissa, firing over the top of guard
with her long range shots, using her long legs to keep the distance as
it looks like a training session for Jenner.
Melissa realising she has to get more proactive, fainting up top with
a straight, then using her left to slam in a body shot to give her
fans something to cheer about.
Kendall doesn't lose her smile, instead slams a right cross to the
cheek of Melissa, turning her head.
Melissa steps back to clear her head, trying to work out the best way
of attacking, before realising that the only hope she has is to
pressure her opponent.
Kendall digs two more jabs up top, but Melissa ducks under a right
hook and lands a barrage of quick thrown short sharp body punches.
The younger brunette looks slightly stunned, more from actually being
hit it seems then being hurt, as the girls trade in close.
Melissa getting some success on the inside, keeping Kendall under
wraps as the round is coming to an end, head down, she's working the
body of Kendall, while Kendall lands around the sides of Melissa, her
shots haven't the power they did at range though.
The bell rings and Kendall smiles, excited that Melissa is showing
some fight, but supremely confident she's going to win.
While Melissa bangs her right fist into the top turnbuckle, frustrated
that she was beaten up most of that round with such ease, she tells
her coach "I'll pay her back next round" which gets a smile and a nod
from her coach, before he works on fixing her up.
Round 2:
Out come the girls, Kendall starting well again, snapping the jab out
to knock Melissa's head back, bouncing on her toes around her
opponent.
But Melissa is coming in more quicker, she gets the range down enough
so the girls are close enough to trade single shots at each other.
Then Fumero steps in to the space to land a three punch combo to the
body of Kendall, who in reply shoves Melissa away.
Looking annoyed by her opponent now, Kendall starts showing more
aggression, throwing more combos up top to rattle Melissa.
But again the New Jersey girl puts the pressure back on Kendall,
landing a right over the top to turn Jenner's head, before landing two
shots to the body.
Kendall's face is curling up in rage, so much for purely being a warm
up, instead she's being forced to trade on the inside and Melissa
looks so much more comfortable in this style of fight.
A right hook to the ribs of Kendall adds to her growing worries and it
drives her up a gear late in the round, landing a left hook of her own
to force Melissa back a step.
Then Kendall lands a good straight to the nose of Fumero to cause a
yelp to escape the lips of Melissa and then she drives forward with a
good three punch combo to the head till the bell rings to end the
round.
Kendall's smile returns somewhat, but it's clear that theirs tension
in her expression, while Melissa looks slightly happier, but she still
wants to see a moment where she is doing some real damage.
Round 3:
Starting the round, both girls trading at midrange, Melissa showing
some real steel, pushing forwards to work on the inside.
But Kendall again works well, using her left to create space, then
swings her right over the top of the guard, knocking Melissa out of
her stride.
Looking desperate, Melissa nearly barrels through Jenner with her left
shoulder, before she rips away at the stomach of her opponent.
Kendall's eyes shut for a moment as she stifles a groan, but she
clinches up with Melissa, the two girls grappling for a moment in
tight, as things start becoming messy.
The referee separates the girls and gives them a warning to keep
things clean, both nod at him but they stare hard at each other before
the fight resumes.
Melissa again stalks Kendall, rushing her around the ring, sweeping
hooks to try and hurt Jenner but mostly miss as the younger fighter
uses her natural speed to keep out of the way.
Then Melissa eats a hard left cross, her legs wobble and Kendall's
eyes light up, now with just under a minute of the round to go, it's
Kendall on the drive.
Melissa throws some meaty hooks to the body of Kendall to get a cheer
from her supporters, but Kendall slams an uppercut to her chin to
rattle her backwards.
Kendall adds two right punches to the cheek of Melissa, knocking her
back to the ropes and now Fumero is covering up, as Jenner swings away
to the body to causing groans from Melissa.
Fumero covering up, Kendall though is eating her way through the
guard, barraging her opponent on the ropes till the bell rings not
long after.
Melissa struggles to push herself off the ropes, as Kendall jogs back
to her corner, getting a scowl from Fumero, as she returns to her
corner slowly.
Round 4:
Melissa tries to get back at Kendall early, it's a big mistake, she's
clearly not recovered from that last round beating and Kendall opens
her up again with an uppercut.
Kendall lands a right hook across the face of Melissa, her fist
driving through and down goes Fumero in a heap to the canvas!
The referee checks on Melissa and waves the fight is over, Melissa is
knocked out cold and Kendall wins again!

Winner: Kendall Jenner KO Round 4

After:
Kendall roars "come on!" The girl who was once surprised by her own
power, now she knows what she's capable of and that makes her
dangerous for future opponents.
Melissa meanwhile has the ringside doctor over her, trying to wake her
up, doing so after a few moments to relief from the fans of Fumero's.
Kendall bounces on her toes in her corner, her fists raises for her
fans who cheer her, while her coach cleans her body of sweat.
On the other side of the ring, Melissa has to be stretchered out the
ring, she's too dazed to leave the ring under her own power.
Kendall gives Melissa a quick look but ignores her soon enough when
the referee comes over to raise her arm up when her name as the winner
is announced.
After blowing kisses to the crowd, Kendall leaves the ring with her
coach, a wide grin on her face as she's proud of her work tonight.
Bumping into the press in the back, Kendall tells the journalists
"that was a good warm up for me, Melissa gave me a good work out in
the middle part of the fight, but I was always going to come out on
top"
She adds "2016 was a great year for me personally, I mean I won the
New Blood tournament, fought some tough opposition"
Finishing up, she says "2017 is my year, I'm 1 and 0, I wonder the
odds on me being unbeaten in 12 months hmm, better not ask Miss
Valmore" Kendall winking as she blows a kiss to the cameras filming
her speech, then she heads off to celebrate.
