TESS VALMORE

CHRISTENSEN/KING Christensen took the lead by winning two of the first three rounds. By the end of the fifth, the score was even with King taking the fourth and fifth rounds. In the sixth, King landed a pair of rights and followed up with a left hook and Christensen went down for the count. King wins her first fight in the FCBA

GOMES/RUAH Gomes hurt Ruah in the first and also took the second. Ruah came back to take rounds three and four. The bout ended in the fifth, when Ruah landed an overhand right to Gomes chin and Gomes went down for the count

WALKER/STEWART Walker won the first two rounds in the first fight of her career. She still had a two point lead at the end of four. Stewart closed the lead by winning round five and then ended the fight in the sixth with a big right hand. On a personal note, it was awkward intervening Stewart after the fight, our relationship being what it is, but it went okay. I would like to think that we are both professionals

DENNINGS/A WILLIAMS Dennings won the opening round only to have Williams take the lead by winning rounds two and three. In the fourth, Dennings floored Williams who managed to beat the count only to run into a right uppercut that sent her down for the full count giving Dennings a KO4

MONACO/BENNET The bout was even at the end of two. It wouldn’t go much further as Bennet right hand dropped Monaco for the count.

SPIRIDAKOS/RAMBIN Rambin won three of the first four rounds and had the lead at the halfway point. She extended her lead by flooring Spiridakos in the sixth. Rambin decked Spiridakos again in the seventh. This time Spiridakos didn’t beat the count and Rambin chalked up a KO7. Rambin may have won the fight but she definitely lost the fashion show wearing a pink bikini. That’s a terrible color for a fighter.
