BEFORE: Berenice Marlohe remains one of the most popular French girls in the BBU but her career numbers suggest she's a valuable benchmark for the promising upstarts rather than a genuine contender. That's hardly a problem for Carla Ossa who comes off a solid debut victory over Erin McNaught last summer and wants to join the suddenly crowded lightweight elite picture. Several models have joined the BBU during the previous few months and Ossa needs to elbow herself through the pack in order to survive the otherwise eye-popping Sports Illustrated & Victoria's Secret flooding. BBU TV's Georgie Thompson thinks the Colombian brunette has enough talent to challenge the likes of Kelly Gale or Stella Maxwell in the foreseeable future and taking Marlohe's scalp in front of the hostile French audience should turn few heads up in Cardiff, Newcastle and beyond.

Round 1:
Carla's alleged hard-hitting reputation is met with little sympathy among the French audience and Berenice gives her an early taste of the hostile environement as she jabs confidently to keep the younger brunette tucked behind a lenghty earmuff cover. There's no reason to believe that Berenice couldn't handle Erin McNaught in similar fashion the Colombia did back in August but the lethargic demeanour of the Latin vixen enables the former Bond girl to really open up some holes in her defense and score plenty of meaningful punches. Carla remains trapped on her heels for most of the round but avoids getting pounded back to the ropes and loops several single shots from behind the guard to at least stretch her elbows. If only Marlohe could land any of her intended haymakers...

Round 2:
Berenice keeps blasting the younger brunette from both flanks but the Colombian defense improves visibly and Ossa begins to tame the French onslaught down the stretch with vicious response to the midsection. Marlohe's aggressive approach leaves her a little vulnerable downstairs and it's to the Colombian's credit that she manages to notice that and expose Berenice's mediocre guard. That's somewhat of an old problem for the Paris native and Carla's done her homework alright; she slips by the elbows and pummels the liver area come the final minute which silences the crowd when Berenice begins to wince in pain and ends the action helplessly stuffed in the corner.

Round 3:
Ossa's recovery continues and for once she gets the jump on her opponent, a wild swing catches Berenice on the left eye before a left/right hooking combo finds the temples and wobbles the older brunette into a classic uppercut follow up on the jaw... Ugh! The French girl is rattled and Carla unloads the furious jabbing galore that snaps Marlohe's head back and sends her tripping back to the ropes. A nasty left hook then adds to her misery by piercing the liver area again and Berenice's suddenly left at the model's mercy in the corner. A proper gut-checking drive drops the French guard and allows the South American to haul in more crisp punches against the flesh which quickly becomes visibly softened. Marlohe survives the brutal pounding to her body but looks stunned at the bell and spits out her gumshield in noticeable pain.

Round 4:
Not even the crowd's support can help Berenice to avoid the Colombian leather rush; Ossa takes vicious advantage of her superior reach and after faking another low approach, she smacks the actress against the lips and snaps her head back several times before the local starlet can finally clinch her in rather desperate manner. Still, Ossa wrenches her guts and has the ref furiously trying to force another break. Georgie Thompson reckons the Colombian is the stronger woman as she dominates the wrestling back & forth before clipping Berenice's breasts and sticking extra leather into the breadbasket. Disaster for the partisan audience, another round ends with their heroine backed deep into the ropes and soaking up unneccessary body punishment. Marlohe slumps against the turnbuckle at the bell - she looks fairly roughed up already and we're not even at half-distance.

Round 5:
Carla's much quicker across the canvas now and doesn't even need to fake another body assault to execute her knockout plans, she sticks her mitts straight into Berenice's face and dismantles the French high guard through sheer workload that simply breaks the older brunette's resilience. Ugh! Marlohe wobbles forward amid all the Colombian heat before tripping back to her heels. Carla's punches have left a couple of nasty shiners under each eye but the money shot that renders the Bond girl numb comes just past the one minute mark - it lands straight on Marlohe's nose and results in immediate bleeding while SENDING THE FRENCH WOMAN DOWN ONTO HER KNEES in the proccess. Berenice's punching resistance simply isn't up to the task anymore and the roughed up actress bends her head against the boards while the count mercilessly - or perhaps mercifully - passes her by. Hard-hitting KO5 Carla Ossa!!!

AFTER: The Paris audience is stunned by the outright destruction of their compatriot but there's nothing Berenice could have done to withstand the relentless Colombian pressure tonight. Carla clearly suffered from visiting nerves early on but quickly found her groove and stormed through the French defense to leave little doubts regarding her superior status. There's every chance the South American model becomes a regular entry on the Mediterranean coast this year but with Jennifer Lamiraqui and Federica Nargi recovering from wounds suffered at the Siren Song PPV lately, her imminient plans are unknown. As supportive of Ossa's performance as Georgie Thompson is, she thinks that the likes of Belen Rodriguez or Elisabetta Gregoraci seem a little too premature to be considered as the Colombian's next opponents.
