Michelle Keegan (Beevers Babes) v Briana Evigan (Alpha Boxing)

Two lovely flyweights meet next, as 30 year old Briana takes on 29 year old Michelle, the former JMD champion. Briana has some notable scalps in the W section of her record, and really wants to add Michelle to that list, whilst Michelle has had a poor run of results in recent times, a run she needs to end. Briana has been rather aggressive in advance of this fight, telling reporters that she wants Michelle to kiss her feet after she’s knocked her over. Michelle’s heard it all before, but mutters something about smothering the American after the fight.

Michelle is wearing a white bikini with matching gloves and boots, whilst Briana wears a baby blue bikini, gloves and boots.

Round 1

There doesn’t seem to be much friendship on display as the girls hit each other hard in the opening minute, Briana seeming to land the better punches in a fierce exchange which has Michelle backing off, but she comes back at her opponent well, and lands a couple of good jabs to her mouth, then covers neatly when the older girl counters, but she seems unsettled, and needs to up her game a little, because Briana’s caught her again with a right hook, before overstretching a little with an attempted left, and Michelle gets back at her, jabbing her very sensibly, and landing a good right cross as the round draws to an end, Briana backed into the ropes at the bell, although she doesn’t look under too much pressure.

Round 2

Michelle’s boxing nicely tonight, not risking any attempt to knock Briana out in a hurry, but the Californian wants to mix it with her, and the girls trade punches again, Briana landing another firm right hook on Michelle, who comes back with a combination, but a brief switch to the body gives Briana some momentum, and she presses Michelle backwards, gives her a real sweet jab and cross combination, then a left hook to make her take a couple of steps back, clearly gaining the initiative, her punches sound and she may have hurt Michelle there, because the Brit’s standing off for sure, Briana coming a little closer, but Michelle’s good again at close quarters, and she’s got the older girl covering again as the round draws to a close, and so far it’s tricky to see who’s getting the better of this fight.

Round 3

Michelle’s making a good start to round three, her jab again doing it’s job, and Briana looks a little pin k faced, but she’s ready to trade again, Michelle less keen, clinching up and keeping things tight. The referee’s in there parting the girls, and they stand off a little more, Briana still probing for a chance to land some harder punches, with Michelle resisting the challenge, and she makes a mistake again, allowing the Brit to land a couple of good combinations of two and three punches, Briana backing into the ropes this time, Michelle becoming the aggressor, but she doesn’t stay in trouble long, as she swats the English girl’s face with left and right hand punches, Michelle forced to step back once more, and Briana on top at the bell in a drawn round.

Round 4

So there’s still nothing to choose between these girls, and Michelle starts the round neatly again, but Briana’s showing plenty of energy as round four begins, and she lands good punches in Michelle’s ribs and flanks as she smacks her backwards, Michelle on the ropes now, and Briana hits her some more, good punches to her face, and Michelle’s head’s bobbing side to side, until she clinches, the referee again getting between the girls. This time Briana reacts quickly from the reset, and lands a solid left to Michelle’s body, and another right hook to her face, and this time Michelle goes down! On her feet at 8, Michelle looks a little shaky, and Briana’s giving her a hard time now, moving her backwards some more, closing her into a corner, and laying into her, Michelle getting the worst of this, and at the bell, Briana sneers, “You’ll be kissing my feet real soon, you bitch!”

Round 5

With her left cheek bruised and showing the damage Briana’s right hook brings, Michelle is slower to her feet than the American, who comes across the ring for her, and gives her some more fairly heavy punishment to send her backing into the ropes, nailing her with a good left cross to the mouth, which has Michelle’s knees trembling, but she’s clinching again, although not for long, as Briana pushes her way back from the Brit, but she can’t find Michelle again with any decent shots when the girl defends herself tightly, and she’s getting fed up with things, throws a really wild couple of shots to Michelle’s body, but leaves herself open, her guard too low, and Michelle gets her with a twoo solid left hooks to her jaw, Briana backing away, and Michelle catches her off balance with a right hook now, and that’s put Briana down! She’s up at 4, and looks displeased, but can’t do any more damage, as the bell ends the round, Michelle now snapping, “No way I’m losing to you, tramp!”

Round 6

Michelle’s in the driving seat for the first time in this fight, and she’s letting Briana have another neat combination, then dropping back to avoid any retaliation, but the older girl seems less aggressive now, biding her time a little more as the fight moves into the second half stage, contenting herself with a couple of body shots on Michelle, which stops her from coming forwards quite so quickly, although she soon gets it going again, and she’s starting to look quicker than Briana, comes inside, lands two punches, then gets back out of range, frustrating the younger girl who just seems to have her timing out in this round, and isn’t landing her punches solidly, Michelle taking them on her arms and gloves, right through until the final seconds of the round, where she actually initialises a trade, and comes very much second as Briana hammers in three heavy blows in a row, Michelle taking the round, and now ahead on most cards, but Briana certainly showed intent at the end.

Round 7

Michelle’s left cheek is definitely swelling now, but she’s protecting it well, hiding nicely behind her jab, and she’s moving well, too, Briana stalking her, but not actually getting her punches home, Michelle giving her a jab and a cross, gaining confidence after that sixth round performance, again retreating nicely, staying out of trouble in this round, and she gets inside again, throws a quick jab, but doesn’t get clear of Briana’s right hook this time, the American cracking a solid shot on the Brit’s swollen cheek, and she’s getting to her again, landing some strength sapping punches to Michelle’s body, her left hook really ripping into Michelle’s liver area, the Brit wincing and groaning, her guard dropping in the closing moments of the round, and that’s costing her dear, because Briana’s beginning to tee off on her face, really measuring her up here now, and landing some brutal punches, Michelle’s legs becoming more jellied as she takes a dreadful beating, backed into her own corner, and Brian’s taunting her as the bell pauses the action, “Almost over for you now, bitch!”

Round 8

The fight restarts, but Michelle really isn’t looking steady on those shapely legs of hers, and she’s not got far from her stool when Briana hits her for the first time in round 8, a cuffing left hook to the jaw, which jolts her head backwards, the Brit staggering sideways, getting to the centre of the ring, where Briana unloads another left to her midsection, and in goes another right hook – and Michelle can’t stay on her feet after that, on the canvas again, the referee counting, and she starts to rise at 7, but overbalances forwards, her legs shot away, Michelle counted out on her knees.

Result: Briana Evigan knocked out Michelle Keegan in round 8.

Once again, Michelle put up plenty of resistance in this fight, but in the end, Briana had too much firepower, and just punched her out.

Both girls are still in the ring, Briana now approaching Michelle’s corner, ringside microphone in her hand, and she doesn’t look like she’s about to show sympathy to the girl she just beat, “Come on, bitch! On your knees!” She grabs Michelle’s hair and drags her off her stool, and the Brit stares at Briana’s feet, her boots removed now, as she barks her command, “Kiss ‘em, you bitch! Kiss ‘em good!” Slowly, Michelle lowers her face, brushes her lips on Briana’s feet, and starts to kiss them, Briana laughing as she feels the battered girl’s warm tongue and lips on her flesh, until she feels she’s done enough, then grabs Michelle’s hair again, yanks her head up, and tells her, “I hope we fight again! But next time I’ll finish you more quickly!”
