TESS VALMORE

I said there would be no PPV review this month but that the predicated on the PPV going on Friday.when I was still traveling

PALLETT/GRANDE Grande was well on her way to winning the fight by taking the first three rounds. Pallett finally got on the boards in the fourth and had Grande a little shaky. Pallett continued shelling Grande in the fifth leaving her a mess at the end of the round. It didn’t take Pallett long to end the fight in the sixth. A one-two followed by a right hook put Grande down for the count

McCURDY/CABELLO Cabello was ahead on the cards at the end of three. In the fourth. McCurdy started landing some heavy punches. More than Cabello could handle and she went down for the count

O. HOLT/D. CAMPBELL The bout was even at the end of two and even at the end of four. Holt managed to win round five and round six was declared a draw leaving Holt in the lead going into round seven.. The bout went no further as Campbell powered a right flush on Holt’s chin and she was counted out

MORETZ/E. HENSTRIDGE Moretz won the first two rounds only to have Henstridge come back and win the next two. I had round five even. in the sixth, Moretz missed a wide right and was on the receiving end of a Henstridge hook the the temple. Moretz went down and was counted out

BENSON/VIKANDER Benson won the first two rounds. Vikander took the third and in the fourth handed Benson a pretty good beating. Benson hadn’t fully recovered when the fifth began and it didn’t take Vikander long to put Benson down and out

KNIGHTLEY/M. FOX I must admit this fight went a lot longer than I thought it would. I thought Fox would end it early. Instead it took her seven rounds. Knightley was actually in the lead at the end of three. Fox took the fourth and the rest of the rounds as she shelled Knightley in the fifth and sixth and finally finished her in the seventh. Fox’s conduct during the count was inexcusable. The count should have never continued. I hope I never see that referee again

KEEGAN/EVIGAN Keegan was ahead on the cards at the end of four. She increased her lead by decking Evigan in the fifth and taking the sixth. Evigan finally got untracked in the seventh and had Keegan hurt as the round ended. Evigan continued to pound Keegan in the eighth until a left to the stomach and right to the chin sent Keegan down for the count

SEYFRIED/C. COLE Seyfried won the first round. That was the highlight of her night. Cole went on to take all the remaining rounds. That numbered four more with Cole finally flattening Seyfried in the fifth. Not an unexpected result.

PANETTIERE/J. L. COLEMAN Panettiere won four of the first six rounds and had Coleman hurt in the sixth but couldn't finish. Coleman then took the seventh. In the eighth, Coleman froze Panettiere with a punch to the bra and finished her with a flurry of punches to the head

WATSON/L.COLLINS Watson opened the fight by taking the first two rounds. Collins took the third and then decked Watson for an eight count in the fourth. After that the fight was all Watson who floored Collins in the seventh and finally finished her in the tenth with a straight right to the chin

ROI LIST/RIGBY List hadn’t won a fight going into this bout. She has now, but it didn’t look good for her early. She lost the first three rounds.   In the fourth, she somehow got on track and handed Rigby a pretty good beating. She then flattened Rigby in the fifth to pull a mild upset

WILDE/FREGE This is one of the two fights that shouldn’t have been scheduled on this card.  Frege taking on the Wilde girl was a joke. There was no way Frege was going to beat Wilde,   Granted, Frege had a couple good rounds, but you knew it was only a matter of time before Wilde put the hammer down. She put it down in the sixth and Frege was toast.

SANTORO/DRAYTON Santoro took the first three rounds with Drayton finally winning a round in the fourth. In the fifth, Drayton dropped Santoro with a pair of rights. Santoro got the her feet at the eight count. Drayton then beat Santoro helpless and the fight was stopped giving Drayton a TKO win

FLANAGAN/MINHEE This was a good active bout that was even at the end of four. The fifth went Minhee's way as she took the lead. The sixth was a disaster for Flanagan. She eventually got caught with a right to chin and down she went for the count

ORRANTIA/DUSHKU Orrantia has quickly gained a reputation as a comer. In this bout, however, she went a bridge to far. She was looking good through four, taking three of the rounds. Late in the fifth Dushku landed an overhand right and Orrantia’s night changed. She survived the round, She would not survive the sixth as Dushku brutally beat her down to the canvas where she stayed

REN/LYNCH The bout was even at two. The third was all Lynch who landed some big punches before finally drilling Ren in the body. The punch sent Ren down to the canvas unable to rise before the count reached ten

HOLLAND/SCODELARIO A very active fight. Holland had he early lead when she floored Scodelario in the second., The bout finally swing Scodelario’s way in the sixth. By the end of the seventh Hollard was a wreck. Scodelario quickly ended the bout in the eighth with a hook to the head. Holland was counted out

PAUSINI/TURNER This was Pausini’s sixth fight and resulted in her sixth loss. She did take the first two rounds only to have Turner take over in the third and knock her out in the fourth with a right to the jaw. Pausini’s career doesn’t look encouraging

PALICKI/HENDRICKS I have to admit the Adrianne has been one of my favorites and was a usual top ten lightweight until a period of inactivity. She, in this fight,  showed why she was considered on the heaviest hitting lightweights. Hendricks found out how big in the fifth, when Palicki landed a fight cross that suddenly ended Hendricks night

DURANCE/KENDALL JENNER This is a sad story. Durance could have been in the Hall Of Fame. She has a sensational win record but she lapsed into relative inactivity. She had one fight last year and lost it. Now 38, the Hall is probably out of reach. In this bout she lost to Jenner who at this point has not been oarticularly impressive.   The fight was fairly even going into fifth. Jenner took the fifth and hammered Durance in the sixth. Durance was as easy target in the seventh and a right to the midsection put Durance down for the ten count

PEREGRYM/AMBROSIO Ambrosio was looking good through five winning three of the rounds and flooring Peregrym in the third. Missy turned the bout around in the sixth with a right hand counter and shutting out Ambrosio. Ambrosio hadn’t recovered completely at the beginning of the seventh and Peregrym simply took her apart before finishing her with a right uppercut

BIEL/STRAHOVSKI This was a marquis match and ended up being a candidate for the fight the year. Biel decked Yvonne in the first. Biel went down in the third and the fight was even at four. The bout was even at six. Strahovski would go down in the seventh and Biel was down the eighth. At the end of ten the fight was even and went overtime. Biel won the eleventh and only had to win one more round. It was not to be as in the twelfth Strahovski landed a right with 30 seconds to go and Biel was finished, going down and unable to beat the count

GILLAN/M. MOORE The fight was even at four. In the fifth Gillan decked Moore. Moore beat the count and then floored Gillan for a nine count. Gillan hadn’t recovered as the sixth round began and Moore quickly ended the fight with a right cross

AZALEA/PREJEAN Do I really have to tell you who won this fight. Really? Well. it you can’t guess,   Azalea won in by a KO4

THERON/M. RYAN This is other fight on this card that should have never been made. I don’t know if Miss Ginny is now incompetent concerning Theron or a genius in her attempt to destroy the GOAT’S heritage. Theron managed to last less than five, just as I predicted.  Once again there was no attempt from the Academy to stop a humiliation. Ryan’s corner had to do it. The Academy’s failure to protect her is disgraceful. We are tired of it. If Miss Ginny wants press,  she will have to find it elsewhere. Tractorpull will no longer cover a Theron bout

LAW/RHODA It was all going well for Law who took four of the first five rounds including decking Rhoad in the third. Somehow Rhode managed to get back on track in the sixth and pitched a shutout. In the seventh,  an exchange of punches went Rhoda's way and Law went down unable to rise. This was a big win for Rhoda and should go a long way towards getting her a title fight

RIGHETTI/PATTON A hard punching fight that I had even at the end of four. Righetti poured it on in the fifth with Patton being saved by the bell. The bell wouldn’t save Patton in the sixth,  as a Righetti uppercut found it’s mark and the bout was over

NIGRI/LOWNDES JMD title fight Nigri

KENDRICK/HUDGENS Flyweight title bout Another great fight. Kendrick was down in the first. Hudgens went down in the third. Kendrick was cut in the fifth and Hudgens had the lead at the end of six. Then Kendrick took over. Hudgens barely managed to finish the seventh, barely escaped in the eighth and met her master in the ninth as Kendrick flattened her with an uppercut to retain the title

BELLISARIO/RIDLEY Bantam title bout. Bellisario had the lead at the end of five. In the sixth, however. Ridley forged into the lead by flooring Bellisario for a nine count. Undaunted, Bellisario came back and took the seventh and eighth rounds and then knocked Ridley out with a flurry of punches in the ninth. Bellisario retains the title

ARTERTON/LIMA For the lightweight title. Lima had the lead at the end of five by taking the first three rounds before the champ could get on the cards. Arterton took the lead in the sixth by decking Lima. Arterton won her fourth straight round in the seventh to take a good lead. In the eighth Lima caught Arterton with a right and followed with a flurry of punches that sent the champ down. Arterton got to her feet,  but had nothing left and it wasn’t long before the referee stopped the fight. Lima is the new lightweight champion is a prime example of why the champion is ofter not the best fighter in the division

ATKINSON/KLOSS For the welter title No body wins every fight. Kloss’s streak was bound to come to an end. Unfortunately it happened to end in a title fight. It’s not that Kloss didn’t do well. She did take four of the first six. Atkinson took the seventh and opened a cut over Kloss’s left eye. In the eighth the champ got the better of it and landed three left hooks that took Kloss’s legs out and Atkinson hammered Kloss’s face until the referee stepped in and stopped the fight.
