Elizabeth Debicki versus Josephine Skriver
(Words & Results: Lookout!)

BEFORE: This has been a match long in the making since both girls made their official British Boxing Ulimited (BBU) debut back in September of this year. Both Elizabeth and Josephine have been very vocal about wanting to face each other, with frequent snark, backstage confrontations and trash-talk leading up to this bout – with both fighters coming in very determined and confident of victory.

Both of them are some of the tallest ladies with the longest legs in the BBU, with Josephine a proud 5'11 and Elizabeth a stunning 6'1' – but both Elizabeth and Josephine declare that only one of them will be walking out on those toned, long legs tonight – at least under their own power...

Josephine enters first in a bright maroon sports bra with two white stripes to form a cross to demonstrate Danish pride as it's patterned to look like the Danish flag with matching maroon shorts and gloves – hair in a fighting ponytail; Elizabeth comes in clad in a bright blue sports bra with the Union Jack across her impressive chest and matching blue bottoms, with white stars dancing across her shorts like the Australian flag. Elizabeth also has on matching blue gloves and hair in a battle bun.

Both fighters here tonight to show off the pride of their respective nations, with the crowd evenly split between the two, cheering both Josephine and Elizabeth in equal measures.

The crowd is loud and enthusiastic from the start as it's hard for the two fighters to hear the ref's instructions, but then again, it's obvious that they aren't really paying attention to them anyway. The two of them press in close, forehead to forehead, glaring into one anothers eyes as they bump chests and bodies, trying to push each other back as the ref pushes them both apart and sends them to their corners in exasperation. Both Elizabeth and Josephine share a little smirk, although it doesn't reach their eyes as they gaze at one another coolly as they wait for the bell to ring. When it does, it's on...


R1, 2: The first two rounds seem to be all Josephine all the time as it's clear Skriver has been working out a lot to prepare for this match. Elizabeth seems to be caught by surprise and to be honest, a little bedazzled by the speed and aggression of the muscular young model. Josephine coming in fast, closing distance with her gloves up high, bobbing side to side, using a speedy jab to send Debicki staggering back towards the ropes. Then, Skriver is pouncing in, just crashing her mitts into that toned pale midriff with vicious lefts and rights. Elizabeth is wincing, punching back, trying to get off of the ropes, but missing over the top as Josephine works in and out of the crouch, bobbing her head and just ripping away to body. It's masterful stuff from Skriver – just pure power and two straight rounds to start off this match.


R3: Debicki gets herself on the boards by posting a shutout of her own, managing to pre-empt Skriver with the jab and counter with the right uppercut as Josephine keeps coming in. Josephine aggressive, but Elizabeth moving well around the ring, showing excellent skills for a tall woman, just repeatedly taking advantage of Josephine's eagerness to harm Debicki as she repels her over and over, backing her up around the ring.


R4: Skriver takes back control, stampeding across the ring to send Elizabeth ropeisde, just working on shredding her abs and ribcage, with hard punching and speedy combinations, gloves spanking loudly along the arms and body of Debicki as she covers up and grits her teeth. Josephine punching her way into ribcage, but also pounding on her shoulders and biceps when she covers up, displaying patience as she looks to reduce Elizabeth bit by bit and round by round.


R5: It's blazing two way action that breaks out between the two here in the fourth as Debicki starts to stand her ground, forcing Josephine into grudging retreat. It's brilliant counter-punching from Liz, as she covers up, rolling to the right and then will dig in underneath to her body or chin. Josephine is aggressive, just charging in for the punch, but is caught time and time again, until in the second minute, a beautifully timed right uppercut swivels Skriver's head to the side. Josephine staggers back, stumbling as Elizabeth gives chase and landing a running straight left and right combination to her face as JOSEPHINE GOES DOWN! Skriver spills down to her hands and knees, looking for her mouthpiece which was ejected as she is blinking back tears, just beating the count somehow as she gets her mouthpiece back in just in time for Debicki to come on hard. It's a real gut check for Josephine as she covers up, taking her beating in the final moments. It's glorious stuff for Debicki, however, just clubbing in haymaker rights and lefts into her dazed opponent's face and body. Just beating Josephine now from one corner to the other, with the ref finally pulling Debicki off at the bell as she is bellowing into Skriver's face furiously as Josephine staggers to the wrong corner, just falling down to a knee again as Debicki smirks, staggering to her corner with absolute confidence.

R6: Elizabeth comes storming out furiously as she is eager to take charge of this contest once and for all; Josephine comes out, hurt and wobbly, but still determined to take back control tonight. Josephine just walking into Liz with clubbing overhand rights and slinging left hooks to the body that land with plenty of forearm and weight behind them, with Josephine shockingly bashing Debicki back to the ropes. Debicki obviously caught off guard as she is worked over bell to bell, fighting back and off of the ropes at times, but comes out of the round clearly discouraged by Josephine's heroics. Elizabeth had expected to mop up and shut out this round, but instead, she has to get back to work.


R7: And back to work they go as the two women get into a hammer and tongs – phone booth style exchange in the middle of the ring. Debicki just slamming her shoulder into Josephine to bully her back ropeside, but both big women just trading wrecking ball bombs back and forth. Elizabeth pressing her forehead into Skriver, using uppercuts from either hand, occasionally pulling Josephine's head down and walking her foe back. It's a savvy veteran move from the young fighter, with the explosive Skriver unable to get off, with Debicki just plowing away to the middle. The two of them can't seem to stop punching after the bell, just leaving each other breathless and sweaty, prompting referee intervention and loud cheers from the crowd as neither of them are backing down one bit!


R8: Josephine appears to have improved and recovered a bit, moving her head from side to side, bobbing her way inside as she slips Debicki's punches as they are missing over the top a bit, just sinking in rising shots up into the ribcage of Elizabeth. Debicki staggering back towards the ropes as she rallies, fighting well in retreat, just hammering away to the body as the two of them fight hard, but Josephine imposing her will as she is able to move her foe backwards ropeside. Repeated shots to the body have Debicki wanting to clinch, obviously hurting, but Josephine won't have it as she squares up inside, using her hands and forearms to shove Debicki backwards. This opens her up for a hard right hand across the abs of Debicki, doubling her foe over and then ripping a follow-up right uppercut to her chin and Debicki is OUT! Elizabeth seems out on her feet as she wobbles, helpless for a moment as Josephine banks in a few insurance shots, just bashing away aggressively before Debicki topples like a felled tree and the crowd shouts in surprise as the ref rushes in to award the match to Josephine via KO8!


AFTER: A shocking end to a real back-and-forth contest between two of the tallest and brightest young stars in the welterweight division here in British Boxing Unlimited (BBU) as the crowd is on their feet, delivering a standing ovation to both fighters. With fighters and bouts like this, it's clear that the welterweight division in the BBU has a pretty bright future.

But, for the moment, it's clear that these two fighters aren't done yet as Josephine comes over, tugging the tall, tormented Elizabeth Debicki out of her corner for a Walk of Shame! Elizabeth dazed and embarrassed, cheeks turning red and blinking back tears, especially as Josephine taunts her in front of the crowd. Josephine gripping Debicki's left wrist and twisting it up behind her back, the other forearm wrapping around her waist and patting her tummy with a smirk, calling out to the crowd “I did this!”, “The bigger they are, the harder they fall.” and then whispering, cruelly into Elizabeth's ear, “Who has the better body now, huh?” as she keeps up the pressure, occasionally tugging on Debicki's blonde tresses to make her look out into the roaring crowd.

Skriver enjoying this Walk of Shame, taking Debicki on two full circuits before shoving her down to the canvas. Using her foot to roll Debicki onto her back as she is sprawled out, panting and fuming on the canvas, Josephine brings her foot up and drives it down into Elizabeth's bruised tummy. Grinding her sole down as Josephine declares, “I told you that you'd end the match looking up at me, Liz and that I'd be the one standing tall over you. Listen to the crowd as they're cheering for me, a real woman. You're just a little stick and sticks...”as Josephine roughly stomps her foot down into Liz's abs for emphasis, drawing a little breathy grunt, “Get stepped on and broken...” as Skriver does it again, drawing a louder cough and groan this time - “Understand?”

Due to her lack of air, it's all Elizabeth can do but to glare and nod as Josephine grins confidently, grinding her foot in one last time against Debicki's tummy before pushing off of her and sauntering out to meet the press and the crowd, both of whom are clamoring for her attention as Josephine loudly declares that now is the time for the rise of models in the league, pumping her fist with excitement as she wins a hotly anticipated bout with fellow rising star Elizabeth Debicki. Fans can only hope that this will be the first of many between them, but for now, the debate between body types will continue as the welterweight division only gets more and more competitive! Josephine showing off as she looks like the future of the division, leaving a stirring and smoldering Elizabeth Debicki vowing revenge as she is led off by her stablemates as the fans cheer them both on after quite the bout!!
