Luisana Lopilato versus Adelaide Kane

Luisana:

Before: Mister Archer showing surprise at Miss Kane being the challenged in this fight, but Luisana full of surprises when she’s asked why. “Despite her recent losses, I actually respect Adelaide’s work in the ring. I think she’s got the looks and ability,” the Argentinian tells reporters pre-fight. “Of course, that also means she’s a potential rival.”

Ms Kane looks serene and confident in her first match this year. Rough road she’s travelled, coming off a string of losses stretching all the way back to 2014 but the Australian has an eagerness to her voice. “I want to thank Luisana for the challenge this time round, but want to remind her that i’ll be the one beating her down this fight, and all the future occasions we run into each other. Most people make the mistake of writing me off, but that only makes me more hungry for a comeback.” She turns to Luisana and smirks. “If you wanna do this, Lollipop darling, I’m ready for ya.”

Both girls respectful but too close for comfort during the weigh-ins, face to face in a stare down. Luisana’s height advantage comes into obvious play here, towering over Adelaide a good three-inches higher, but curvy and heavier-set Adelaide still holding her own in her all-black bikini and gloves, planning to rely on her muscle to dictate the fight.

Round 1: Girls throwing thick, heavy hands to begin the fight, surprising spectators with unexpected ferocity as they bang away on each other’s flanks, but mostly hitting at arms when they venture blows to the head. Luisana in particular surprised when Adelaide wades in quick and early, jams left and right hands and chopping her body in half with enough to force to force Luisana to retreat and re-evaluate. Adelaide grinning behind her gloves as she sneers: “C’mon Lollipop.” Luisana’s face turns crimson, brows creasing into a deep frown as she charges back into the fray. Adelaide now dealing with hard punches slamming into her face - stray blonde hand packs into her body underneath, drawing a loud gasp. Luisana doesn’t relent, pistons blow after blow into Kane’s midsection before brunette has the sense to retreat out of range, but now panting heavily. Luisana shoots Kane a vengeful look, gestures with one glove to ‘Bring it on.’ Closely-fought round that could go either way for both fighters.

Round 2: Second round sees similar action with girls getting used to in-the-thick-of-it brawling, bending elbows and swivelling fists up into bodies and chests. Damage taking its toll, though - Luisana falling back more often than her opponent, surprised at the brunette’s ability and resilience to brawl with her. Not many girls certainly capable of such a feat? Adelaide full of surprises, suddenly springs forward with a right cross thrown straight at Luisana’s head. The Vixen ducks, left arm raised high to block, but doesn’t anticipate follow-up attack that comes fast and hard: Adelaide slaps a left jab into her cheek, then drills a right into Lopilato’s chest. Luisana under assault from every corner, backs away but not before eating another left-right combo to her face, tasting Adelaide’s stinging long jabs. Luisana’s eye getting swollen by the minute already, the blonde shaking off the pain in her face but still no strategy to deal with her opponent other than to run away for now. Round swings wide in Adelaide’s favour and she knows it, the Australian raises a fist to the cheering crowd as she saunters back to corner.

Round 3: Adelaide tries to impose her will in the third, advancing wildly at times trying to cut off Luisana’s backpedalling, but gets socked relentlessly in the face by a defensive Luisana. The blonde shows everyone that she’s not just an in-your-face brawler, but is able to control an overly-aggressive opponent like Adelaide Kane who comes at her all too eager but gets tagged and drummed by in the face for her fool hardiness. Still, Adelaide manages to catch Luisana off-guard at some moments from sheer quantity, wobbling her with a lucky right hook in the second minute and combination of jabs to her body in the third, but it’s not enough to finish her off. Instead, Luisana comes back into the fight with a close decision win over Adelaide, judges rewarding her for her excellent strategy of chasing a wild goose.

Round 4: However, that all goes to shambles in the fourth round. Adelaide scores early points with a left-right jab to Luisana’s face, forcing the blonde back into the ropes unintentionally - Adelaide has her foe exactly where she wants her, crowding, pushing sweaty skin against sweaty skin, left and right hands digging into Luisana’s paunch in cruel revenge. Luisana gurgling from blows, jockeying underneath for better position, only option to clinch and try to wrestle with and against her foe. Towards last minute, Luisana manages some leverage with her arms wrapped tightly around Kane’s waist and then spanking glove off her sides, as both girls trade places rotating and gyrating alongst the ropes. But it’s not enough for Luisana at the sound of the bell - Adelaide exerting her dominance early in the round and judges giving her props for that.

Round 5: Adelaide smiling behind her gloves as she makes a beeline for Luisana, who’s still hunched over and breathing heavily. Brunette opts to bomb away on the blonde’s guard with wild hooks, intending to slap her around and then move in for the kill. Luisana showing great skill however by walking backwards whilst avoiding those hooks - one or two nearly take her head off when it connects with air just inches from her nose. Luisana weaves head back after one such punch then snaps a left-right into Adelaide’s nose, which only seems to piss the Australian actress off more and swing another left hook - AGAIN A MISS, Luisana having ducked under this second time and SWINGING FIST UP - BAM! Right hand crashes into base of Adelaide’s chin, sending her reeling! Luisana bulling, still crouched - another BANG BANG BLAM crashes into Kane’s already wobbly chin, sending her flying to the right and straight down onto the canvas! A brutal knockdown for Lopilato! Referee starts the count as Luisana returns to corner, taking in precious air.

3...4… Gosh, Adelaide just doesn’t seem conscious of surroundings. Her eyes are open, mouth sucking in air, but body and limbs still sprawled on the canvas blinking up at the lights.

5...6… Brunette finally manages to sit up, but she’s far from the ropes - can she make it back in time?

7….8…. Adelaide’s choosing to ignore the ropes (along with everything else around her as she swings her fists wildly at imaginary targets in front - definitely not a good sign)

9… Adelaide’s still barely on one knee… 10!! IT’S OVER!!

Official Decision: Luisana Lopilato defeats Adelaide Kane via KO5!

After: Luisana’s face filled with concern for her opponent as she strides over and tries to help her up to her feet. Adelaide still groggy, drool coming down side of mouth as she whispers: “Did I make it?” Luisana simply nods and leads her back to corner, to be checked by the medics. Blonde whispers: “Let’s do this again someday” into Adelaide’s ear before leaving her in capable hands. Kane still out of it, doesn’t respond to the offer until much later in the locker room, where she unsurprisingly states her assent. Luisana game too, of course. For now though, simply satisfied with soaking up her victory, both hands raised high by the referee into the crowds.
