Michelle Ryan versus Bianca Kaljich

(Girls Friday vs Free Agent)

Intro:
Two welterweights do battle now as Michelle Ryan looks to get back
into the title scene against another top 20 fighter in Bianca Kaljich,
who would love to get her first shot at the title.

The 32 year old Michelle holds a record of 16 wins, 13 by knockout and
12 losses in her career up till this point over two organizations.

The 39 year old Bianca holds her own record of 6 wins, all by knockout
and 3 losses, though that was to Gigi Hadid, Amanda Righetti and the
now retired LeeLee Sobieski.

Both girls looked ready to go head to head on the stage at the press
conference, Michelle looking cocky as she smirks right in the face of
her future opponent, clearly whispering something as Bianca replies
and security is there to hold the girls back.

After being led to their tables, Michelle was given the chance to
speak first, clearly relishing it judging by her face.

"Last month I swatted the greatest of all time aside, proving I am one
of the best in the world" Michelle "humbly" says as only she seems to
be able too.

Turning to Bianca, she adds "hmm I don't know what to class you as, I
mean I have crusaded to kick the old out of the gold hunt, you are not
long off kicking forty, but your not good enough to kiss my boots then
lace them"

Bianca looking pissed off to say the least, screaming over at Ryan
"you stuck up bytch! One f***ing win over Charlize and now you act as
if you are the best! F*** you!"

Michelle quickly replying "no f*** you bytch!" And hurls the water
over towards Bianca, who dodges most of it and charges at Michelle.
Before anyone can intervene, the girls clash body to body as they
lunge at each other, heels nearly hitting the front row of journalists
as the big girls fight to the floor.

Each girl gets on top of the other as they pull hair and slip a hand
to the others dress to tear some holes in them.

Both are screaming insults as journalists actively cheer the girls on,
so much for professionalism, as the girls tumble off the small stage
to the floor in front of the media.

Separated, the girls are about to lunge from their knees at each other
if not for security and their coaches finally grabbing both girls.
There is an actual loud sigh from the sea of journalists, they wanted
the girls to finish this in front of them, instead they'll have to
wait till the gloves are on in a real sense, but these two will be
fighting tooth and nail to win come the actual fight.

Fight night, out comes Michelle first with Melanie Sykes and Eva
Carneiro by her side, she still has that cocky smile on her face as
she starts marching down to the ring.

She is wearing a navy blue sports bra, matching trunks with a white GF
badge on the left leg and a union jack flag on her right leg, she has
blue gloves and shoes to complete her look.

climbing into the ring, she gets what is now customary with her, a
mixed reaction from the crowd, some like her brashness, others hate
it, she doesn't care as she heads to her corner what they think, going
through her routine as out comes Bianca.

The American has a smouldering smile on her face, looking every inch
the sexy woman that she is as she poses at the top of the entrance
ramp, clearly wanting to win over the crowd, who universally cheer her
before she's even stepped into the ring.

She's wearing a red sports bra, red trunks with a white waistband, an
American flag on her right flag, white gloves and red shoes make up
the rest of her attire as she struts to the ring.

After stepping into the ring, Bianca stares hard at Michelle, focusing
purely on her as she goes to her corner and warms up.

Both are led to the ring centre by their coaches, clearly afraid it's
going to kick off early, both quickly clash bodies as they get to the
centre, the referee quickly between the pair who are busy insulting
each other.

Finally he seems to restore order and asks the girls to touch gloves,
after a few moments of more insults, they simply turn around to head
back to their corners, not interested in respect, just wanting to
batter each other into submission.

The referee makes sure everything is ready, then signals for the bell
when he's happy to begin 10 rounds of welterweight boxing action.

Round 1:
Off we go, both girls starting quickly, stiff jabs being thrown as the
girls are up on their toes, trying to find holes in each others
defences.

Michelle seems to find a hole first, landing a right straight punch
between Bianca's gloves, then goes to lash a left to the body.

But she gets caught with a left cross and the girls stand and trade to
a loud roar from the crowd, both trying to keep some form of defence
with their left hand tight at first to their cheeks, before just going
for it with both hands.

They separate after a the hard exchange of punches, with Bianca coming
back fast to land a right and left cross to turn Michelle's head side
to side.

The English girl looks surprised as Bianca continues to come onto the
front foot, pumping her fists up top to try and break that guard
apart.

While Michelle is forced to fight on the back foot, managing to sneak
a few shots to the face of the American stunner.

But Bianca seems to have subdued her opponent with her work rate,
pounding away at Michelle, whose having to retreat around the ring.

When Michelle is pressed near the ropes, she starts fighting back
hard, the second vicious exchange between the girls late in the round
sees them knocking each others heads around.

That is till they fall into a clinch, the girls snarling and grappling
as they push and shove each other in tight.

The referee gets involved soon enough, warning the girls to keep
things clean as they bump a glove, but their eyes tell a different
story of how they feel about each other.

It's not long till they fall back into fighting in close, throwing
shots up and down their opponents with seconds left in the round.

The bell ringing with the girls landing a shot after the bell each,
the referee warning the girls again to keep things clean or points
start coming off and then they'll be thrown out, disqualified by him
and they can take it up with the FCBA committee.

Both nod but quickly turn to head to their corners, not interested in
touching gloves this time in apology, just wanting to get cleaned up
and back at it.

Round 2:
Not much separation between the girls at the start of this round, both
wanting to force the other back as the fight becomes scruffy, neither
landing clean shots, glancing blows at best till they clinch up.

Again they struggle to overpower each other till they hear the referee
start to warn them and they settle down enough for him to pry them
apart.

After they are separated, Michelle comes on fast, landing a jab, right
cross combo to the cheeks of the American.

Then she presses onwards with two body shots, before taking a stiff
straight punch to her face to ward her back to give Bianca breathing
room.

It's not long till Michelle lands another body shot to the centre,
Bianca misses a right cross and takes a straight punch to her lips to
knock her head back.

Bianca is now the one on the back foot, Michelle keeping the pressure
on with her jab banging against the guard of her opponent, keeping her
fists pinned back in defence and throwing her right around the guard
to her head or body.

Kajlich manages to land a swiping right hand, just catching enough of
Ryan's chin to make her take a step back in case anything followed up.

Seeing a chance to get at her English opponent, Bianca steps back into
the fray, the girls slug it out in close but Michelle surprises her by
stepping back and then as she tries to plug the gap, she takes a
double jab to her nose.

That seems to stop Bianca dead in her tracks and Michelle lands two
cross punches to reel her onto her heels, forcing Bianca to cover up
tight.

The crowd try to cheer her on, but Michelle keeps her on the defence
on the way to the bell, the round ending with Michelle smirking at
Bianca as she turns back to her corner.

Bianca just stares a hole through her before she turns to her corner,
where her coach isn't happy, telling her how to improve.

Round 3:
Michelle starting off strong, using her jab like a jackhammer to try
and break through the guard of Bianca, who is seemingly stuck on the
backfoot.

That changes though as she misses a right hook over Bianca's head and
Kajlich comes back with three pounding body blows that force Michelle
to gasp in pain.

Bianca quick to press her advantage, the girls trading up top, till
the Rules of Engagement star lands a hard hook to the body of
Michelle.

Michelle covers up as she retreats to create space, wanting a breather
but finding Bianca plugging the gap and pounding away at her guard.
Again she's forced to throw out her jab in a defensive manner, Bianca
doesn't look worried by it as she comes on the attack, sending three
stiff punches to the guard to break it out.

Michelle forced to fight back now or be pressed onto the ropes, the
girls in tight banging away at the sides of each other.

Clinching up, Michelle looks relieved, maybe hurting more then she
wants Bianca to know, the referee getting involved and as the girls
separate, they scowl at each other, clearly not going for tea after
this fight.

Bianca too keenly tries to get back at her opponent, instead though;
Michelle forces her to miss a right hand, then comes up over the top
with her own overhand right.

Kajlich looks to be stunned as she covers up and Michelle who moments
ago looked in trouble herself comes back onto the front foot.

Michelle landing two body blows of her own to try and open up the
centre to strike, but Bianca looking to keep things tight.

Not long left in the round, Bianca's head clearing enough for her to
feel comfortable to trade single punches out of her guard.

The bell rings with both girls not interested in mind games, instead
just heading back to their corners to get what are marked up faces and
reddened bodies fixed up.

Round 4:
Meeting near the ring centre, Bianca throws a double jab that just
about misses, but is showing her intent early to get onto the front
foot.

Michelle being kept back as Bianca starts off strong, sending a flurry
of punches at the head of the Brit, snaking punches through her guard.
But the momentum changes again as Bianca misses an overhand right,
taking a counter right hook on her cheeks, turning her head.

Michelle back into the face of Bianca, lashing three punches across
the cheeks, knocking Bianca back several steps.

The sight of blood seems to get Michelle excited as Bianca has a small
cut under her left eye, Ryan is attacking hard.

Banging away at the head of Bianca and knocking her to the ropes, the
crowd roaring as Michelle is looking to open up that cut even worse.
Bianca fighting back off the ropes though, not wanting to be pinned
down and Michelle backs off, not wanting to get caught by a wild
punch.

The girls back to fight in close, digging at each others bodies and
Michelle backing off as Bianca trying to get back to what worked
before.

But Michelle steps back and cracks Bianca on that cheek with a hard
straight, the cut opening up even more and Bianca cries out in pain,
forced to back off herself now.

Michelle viciously looking to crack the guard of her opponent to get
back at that cut, Bianca desperate to keep it covered as she's pressed
back once again this round.

Bianca ends up near a corner, forced to try to fight out of the
situation, leading to an angry exchange between the girls, both
screaming out in pain as they connect with brutal punches.

The round coming to an end, Michelle lands two hard body shots to the
ribs of Bianca, who groans out loudly in pain, before being knocked
into the corner.

The bell rings ending the round, Michelle jogging back to her corner,
buzzing after that round as she sits down onto her stool.

Bianca rubbing her cheek to see the blood from her cut that is
covering her left cheek, cursing herself under her breath for getting
caught to get cut, her coach is straight on his job to cut up her face
and stop the bleeding before the next round.

Round 5:
Bianca keeping things tight, Michelle looking to hunt her down around
the ring, finding a stiff guard in her way as she goes for her head.

The action seems to slow down as the girls trade single punches,
Bianca fighting on the back foot, Michelle trying to open her up.
Michelle landing two body blows, but Bianca hits her back with a right
hook, then follows with a left as the fight heats back up again.
The work rate is going down, but the girls are still loading up with
power punches, knocking each other around the ring.

Bianca landing a good straight punch to the nose of Michelle, causing
a thin trickle of blood from the right nostril of her opponent.

The American lands a left cross up top and follows quickly with a body
shot to the ribs of Michelle, who winces and throws a jab to the lips
to keep Bianca from rushing right through her.

The girls are head to head, chopping away to each others bodies as the
spring has disappeared from their steps, now it's just two women
hammering each other.

That's till they fall into clinch, both leaning their heads on each
others shoulders, the referee having to get between them to separate
them.

Michelle gets her right parried and then caught with a double jab to
put her onto her heels, Bianca landing to the body of Ryan with three
punches.

The Brit having to shove Bianca back to get her off of her as she is
getting pinned back by her opponent, Michelle looking to take a
breath.

But she finds Bianca is back on her, the girls trading stiff straight
punches for the last few seconds of the round to the bell rings.
Both girls turn back to their corners, both look down at the canvas,
feeling sore as their coaches help them onto their stools and clean
them up, icing up their bruised bodies.

Round 6:
Out come the girls, circling each other near the ring centre trading
single shots to start the round, looking for a punch to do some
serious damage.

Instead they fall into a tight exchange of punches, neither backing
off as they throw punches around the others guard.

Both groaning as they work each other over, Bianca is the first to
land a clean punch as she whips a left hook that wobbles Michelle.
A follow up right puts Michelle down! The crowd up on their feet as
Bianca turns and walks to a neutral corner, her coach looking at her a
wide smile.

Michelle shakes her head, trying to clear the cobwebs as the referee
is counting above her, she shoves herself up to her knees at 5.
Part of the crowd is willing her to get up, the other half wants her
to stay down, she makes one half happy as she beats the count at 8,
standing up and scowling over at Bianca, whose giving her own in
reply.

Back in comes Bianca, trying to finish the job as she presses on,
Michelle forced to cover up and retreat till she can get her head
cleared.

Bianca landing a straight to that bloody nose of Michelle to push her
to the ropes, firing rights and lefts around the guard of the British
fighter as the referee comes in close to have a look.

Michelle catches sight of him and starts fighting back, surprising
Bianca with a right cross and a follow up left to get herself off the
ropes.

Though Bianca readjusts to land a straight to the body of Michelle,
looking to stalk her to end this sooner then later.

But the bell rings with Michelle just about blocking two stiff
straights heading for her nose, Bianca doesn't look too worried,
heading back to her corner as Michelle looks at the canvas for a
moment.

Melanie in Ryan's corner, shouts at her to keep her head up, this
fight is far from over as she points at Bianca, Eva working on getting
her back into the fight.

While Bianca leans her head back, her coach cleaning that cut up again
as blood is starting to drip down to her bust, the crowd chanting for
their favourites, who are just happy to be able to stand after the
hell they've been through.

Round 7:
Both girls meet at the ring centre, Bianca looking to get at Michelle
throwing some stiff jabs to try and open her up.

Bianca throws a right hook that misses and gets caught with one on her
chin, it hits flush and her knees turn to jelly.

Somehow she stays up but a quick follow up to her chin from a left
hook puts her down to the canvas in a heap!

The crowd look stunned and while Michelle would love to hide her own
shock, her face reveals her own shock at being able to catch Bianca
flush on the chin.

The referee is counting Bianca, who rolls to her back, eyes wide open
but glazed over, the lights are on but nobody is home and the count
reaches 10 to end this fight in a stunning comeback victory from
Michelle Ryan!

Winner: Michelle Ryan KO Round 7

After:
Michelle falls to her knees, feeling sore and exhausted as she doesn't
even bother hiding it now.

Her coach rushed over to her and first gives her a hug, telling her
how proud she is of her for winning this gut check, before she helps
her up and acts as a crutch for her to get her back to her stool.
Bianca is checked over by the doctor, she needs to be helped up and
taken to her corner, she starts to clear her head after being knocked
out.

She looks down at the canvas, shocked she couldn't win, she had
Michelle beat and a miracle moment changed the course of the fight.
Mentally she looks wretched as the fighters are asked to come to the
ring centre for the result to be announced, she doesn't look up once
and her coach tells the referee that she can't get up.

So Michelle with help from Melanie is the only one in the centre, her
hand raised and she roars to the crowd, the smile on her face now
belittles the hard task she had to win.

Bianca is out the ring as this is going on, her coach helping her out
as he wants her away from this so she can recover physically and
mentally.

The Girls Friday corner crew smile at Michelle, who asks them if they
can help her to the back as she really can't be bothered to celebrate,
she's too tired.

Nodding, Mel and Eva help their girl out the ring and up the ramp to a
round of applause, she doesn't even acknowledge that, just whispering
something to her friends holding her up.

In the back the journalists want a word, but Melanie gives Eva the job
of getting Michelle to the locker room, so she can talk to the media
for her.

"We as a stable are proud of Michelle, it wasn't the greatest
performance of her life but she got the win under tough circumstances"
says Melanie.

Before she finishes by saying "we will be looking for another big
fight for her and we hope any doubts about her being a top ten fighter
are gone after this win"

Then she heads off to go check on Michelle, who has earned a massage
and a few drinks tonight.
