BEFORE:

"I have not had," says Rhona with a shake of the head, "The best results here. But that changes tonight, even though this is the best girl I've fought in my trips to Asylum. Won't matter. Not tonight. Tonight is my night."

"Rhona," says Anna with a nod, "Is VERY dangerous. There's no question about that. I've got all the respect in the world for her. No question about THAT, either. But, tonight, I've got to take her out of there, and that's just what I'm going to do."

ROUND ONE:

O'Dell: "Back at ringside and that's 'Mars Bringer of War' by Gustav Holst..."

McCarthy: "I knew a Gustav Holst back in high school. We used to call him the Goosemeister. I wonder if he's the one who wrote this!"

Cassie: "Well, he graduated in 1891, so, he WAS a contemporary of yours..."

McCarthy: "YOU LITTLE..."

O'Dell: "Now, calm down Mac. We've reached the final fight and we've yet to be introduced to whatever horror HBO has cued up and waiting in case things get too crazy here. Let's keep it that way. The song in question is the theme music for one Rhona Mitra of the Bazz Fight Club, and Rhona is even now climbing into the ring to be help off with the robe. And, that gray bikini does plenty for her and even more for the crowd..."

Tess: 'Rhona is 40 years old, but you would NOT know that by looking at her."

O'Dell: "And, that's 'The Pain and the Passion' by Midnight Oil you hear pounding through the arena, and that can only mean that 'The Aussie Enforcer', Anna Torv, is on her way to ringside!"

McCarthy: "FINALLY! A REAL fighter!"

O'Dell: "Anna down the aisle to tap glove against fist with Mac on the way by the table, as usual, and she's into the ring to be helped off with the robe by Jewel and Neve. Torv wearing that black bikini she prefers, and, the ladies are about ready. Time for some picks. Tess likes Anna. Mac?"

McCarthy: "Torv's the best fighter in Weirdo's stable. She'll win."

O'Dell: "Cassie?"

Cassie: "You KNOW I'm going with my girl, Rhona!"

O'Dell: "And, there's the bell. Mitra right after Torv. She wants to get physical early, working inside, banging body, levering with shoulders, lots of wrestling around in there. Now, this isn't a strategy I'd recommend to many fighters against a girl with Torv's power, but Rhona might be an exception..."

Cassie: "There aren't many stronger lightweights on the planet, that's for sure."

O'Dell: "Anna giving as good as she's getting in there, working body, banging back. Awful lot of wrestling happening right now. Not really Torv's game, as Anna likes to work at gunnery range, but, again, she's holding her own pretty well against the brunette. Mitra a good short right hook, and that got Anna's attention."

Tess: "This is pretty good stuff from Mitra, and, I think, a pretty good idea. There's not a lot of percentage in boxing with a girl like Torv. The only fighter who's managed to do that and succeed is Strahovski, and it took her overtime."

O'Dell: "Twenty seconds to go in a first that's had plenty of action. Rhona digging body again. Anna shoving her off, hooking the ribs. Ladies fall into a clinch. Referee in to break them apart. Torv with a nice combination as Rhona steps to again, and there's the bell. Close. Rhona."

McCarthy: "I'm not sure how much longer Mitra can get away with standing in front of Torv like that, but, she's up 10-9."

ROUND TWO:

O'Dell: "Second underway and Mitra right back at Torv, working in close, crowding, banging. Anna standing toe-to-toe, banging right back. Lots of body being worked here, and this might be one thing that works in Rhona's favor. As solid as Anna is, I can't imagine too many people winning a war of attrition with Mitra."

Tess: "I'm going to agree with you, Jenny. Not many at all."

O'Dell: "Rhona a good left hook and THERE'S A SHORT RIGHT FROM TORV AND MITRA IS HURT! A short right hand from Anna and Rhona's knees do a shimmy! And now Mitra's in retreat as Anna gets off big time! Mitra slowly being forced backward, covering up, taking heavy fire..."

Cassie: "She's OK. Just keep the guard up and stay off the ropes."

O'Dell: "And, Mitra doing both of those at the moment. Torv landing some solid shot, though, wobbles Rhona AGAIN with a right hand! Referee looking in. Brunette hanging on. Torv finally gets her to the cables, but there are only ten seconds left. Anna lets loose a HUGE barrage, but Mitra ships the shell and there's the bell. Torv wide. Rhona still standing."

McCarthy: "I didn't THINK Mitra could stand in front of Torv much longer."

ROUND THREE:

O'Dell: "Into the third and now it's Torv forward and Mitra right there to meet her. Rhona holding ground and firing right back. She may not have the legs all the way back, but she has enough to hold her canvas. Torv a NASTY left hook to the body and Rhona fires right back with a hard right to the head..."

McCarthy: "And, we've got ourselves a firefight, Jenny!"

O'Dell: "Indeed we do! Ladies letting the hands go in a big way and MITRA ROCKS TORV! Rhona with a right hook and Anna's hurt! Torv stumbling backward and the brunette now going all in. Rhona bulling forward, driving Anna to the ropes and letting go with every gun in the arsenal..."

Cassie: "Because you can't stand in front of Rhona Mitra very long, EITHER!"

O'Dell: "Mitra hammering away as Anna rolls with in a high guard. Blonde wants to run clock here. Brunette looking to finish things before said clock runs out. Mitra has fifteen seconds to go, and she's making the most of them, pounding away, looking for the punch that will end it. But, there's the bell. Torv still standing. But, it's Mitra wide."

Tess: "And, Rhona back on top 29-28."

ROUND FOUR:

O'Dell: "Mitra after Torv to start the fourth. Rhona again wants to close and bang. Anna giving some ground here, backing and circling right, away from the brunette's right hand power. Mitra thumping out that left jab, following on with solid right hands, hooking some body, going back to the head, and GOING DOWN!"

McCarthy: "Heat-seeking right hand counter from Torv landed right on the button!"

O'Dell: "And Rhona dropped to her glutes! Crowd going nuts. Torv to a neutral corner. Count at three. Four. Five. Six. Brunette to her feet at seven. Referee going to give her the mandatory and on comes Torv. Anna looking to get this thing over with before it can turn around again. She's letting the hands go, throwing in all the reserves..."

Tess: "Rhona very wobbly right now. She's in deep trouble."

O'Dell: "Anna's got her on the ropes and the blonde is hammering away with everything she has. Mitra taking a pounding, hanging on, trying to fire back. Referee looking in. Anna a BIG right hand that sends Rhona stumbling along the ropes and IT'S OVER! Referee leaping in between the fighters and it's over! And your winner by TKO4 is 'The Aussie Enforcer', Anna Torv!"

Cassie: "And, there's that respect we talked about. Fighters hugging after a good, competitive fight."

McCarthy: "And I HATE it!"

AFTER:

O'Dell: "Let's go up to the ring and Tess Valmore!"

Tess: "I have our winner, Anna Torv, and, Anna, definitely plenty of power on display in this one..."

Anna: "She hits as hard as anybody I've ever fought. Everything she lands, you really feel it, even jabs. That's what I meant when I called her dangerous. Any punch can end your night."

Tess: "But, you ended hers..."

Anna (nodding): "Right, before she could end mine. Girl like her, when you get a chance to finish, you have to do it. Because, again, every second she's still swinging at you is one more second she can get you."
