Intro:
The second New Blood welterweight semi final bout sees models Kate Bock fight Romee Strijd to try to earn the Tiara at the end of this tournament.
Kate is a model of Sports Illustrated star, voted "Rookie of the year" back in 2013, she is from Vancouver, Canada.
While her opponent Romee is a Victoria Secret girl, she comes from Zoetermeer, Holland but hails from New York.
So this will be basically home territory for her as the fight takes place in the Prudential Center in New Jersey.
The fighters met at the press conference, each looking confident as they go nose to nose, neither backing down from the other.
The girls are asked to go to their tables for this event, the girls share a small smile to show that there isn't any real malice between them, but this is important to both girls as they sit down and think through what they are going to say.
Kate is asked to speak first, she takes a breath as she knows what the pundits have on their minds "so yes I lost my debut to Bo Krsmanovic, but for my debut I feel I gave a good account of myself and this is my chance to right that wrong by winning this tournament"
Facing Romee, she smiles at her before saying "it's funny, there's this unspoken rivalry between Victoria Secret and Sports Illustrated, well was till now" giggling a little as she thinks about it.
Before she continues "but I don't really care about that at the moment, for me it's simply me vs Romee, the winner is the better woman and if people take that as Sports Illustrated models being better than Victoria Secret ones, that is an added bonus I guess"
Romee stands up now, shaking her head as she starts by saying "I don't really care about it either, but for the record; my VS sisters did say to kick your ass"
Laughing, Kate replies "my Sports Illustrated girls said the same thing" with Romee grinning but her eyes look hungry to fight now.
Holding herself back from starting a fight, she keeps things professional, saying "well we both know that we want to be the champion at the end of this, so as they say may the best woman win"
Romee holding her hand out, Kate taking it in her own, both girls pull each other close and say nearly in unison "I plan too"
Both can't hold back the giggles, not believing they said it at the same time, even starting to feel embarrassed that it happened like that.
Till they simply shake the others hand and nod at each other, knowing all the laughs and smiles go away when they lace up those gloves and step into that ring as they turn and leave the stage.
Fight night, special referee Sarah Lancaster checks the ring after that hard fight before this one, not knowing really what she should be doing between fights as she is used to fighting her own battles and leaving the ring afterwards.
She's knocked out her train of though as Kate Bock steps out onto the entrance ramp with her coach by her side, she gives the crowd a way, getting a mixed response as she is technically the invading party, even though Romee is Dutch!
Heading down to the ring, she is wearing a sports bra and trunks, both have a red and white kind of candy cane design, her gloves are red with white thumbs, and she has red gloves.
Climbing into the ring, she nods to the crowd, knowing there is no point her breaking a sweat trying to butter them up too much, just gotta focus on winning.
Sarah says "good luck" to her as she goes through checking her, Kate nodding her thanks to the referee.
Now out comes Romee, the Dutch girl gets a heroes welcome, I guess moving to New York technically makes her a local or maybe because she's fighting a girl across the border is giving her this type of crowd reception.
She blows kisses to the crowd as she wears an orange sports bra, shorts that are half Dutch flag, the other is an American one, while she has orange gloves and shoes to complete her look.
Stepping into the ring, there is a bigger cheer for her, that astounds her and the other people in the ring, Sarah Lancaster not believing what she is seeing as she mouths "wow"
Sarah again does her checks, this time on Romee, saying "good luck" to her too, getting a warm smile and a fist bump that surprises Sarah again.
Remembering her duties, Sarah waves the fighters to the ring centre, both looking tense as they stare hard into the others eyes, all business tonight when it comes to fighting.
Asked to touch gloves, the girls give each others gloves a good whack, but also nod at each other, before they head off to their corners.
Sarah looks happy to start this, waving to the time keeper to start 10 rounds of welterweight boxing action.

Round 1:
"Ding" away go both fighters, both starting with testing shots that land on tight looking guards, they circle each other up on their toes and look very similar in styles.
Starting to trade harder punches, Kate slips a right around the guard of Romee, landing a follow up left to the cheeks of Romee to try and force her back.
Instead it leads to the girls going in tight, trading on the inside; punches snapping the others head back as they try to press the other back.
Finding it high on impossible, Romee seems to accept it first, stepping back and landing two harsh straight punches through the guard of Kate.
Kate tries to get back forwards, but Romee slips out the side, smacking her Canadian opponent to her cheek with her right, then follows with a left to the body.
Bock is landing some good shots around the guard of the Dutch girl, but the crowd roar as Strijd lands two hard punches up the center to the face.
Romee is keeping Kate back with some nicely thrown precise punches through are around the guard of her fellow model.
With not long to go in the round, both girls let their hands go, trading pounding punches up top to knock each other back, before they dig in and get back at it.
The bell rings with Sarah straight between the girls, both standing and staring for a moment, they know how important a win will be for them here tonight to get there careers going.
Heading back to their corners, they look relaxed as they sit on their stools, focused on their corners, who clean them up and give them advice on what to do.
Round 2:
Off they go again, both girls circle each other with stinging shots to each others faces, till Kate surprises Romee by ducking a right and slamming her left to the chin of the Dutch model.
Kate trying to keep pressure on as she roars forwards with repeated punches around the guard of Romee, whose being knocked onto her heels.
The Victoria Secret model fights back with a straight punch down to the center of the body of Kate to stun her for a moment.
Romee forcing her way in tight, the girls slugging it out till they bang heads, Sarah is in quickly to separate them and check them for cuts, the girls blinking a little to clear their heads but they seem OK as they get back to work.
Both trading single punches as they try to build themselves back up to the harder punches, working their way onto the front foot.
Romee tries to get in tight quickly but gets caught by Kate, a right hand catching her flush on her cheek to turn her head.
Kate's eyes almost light up as she lands two more punches to the face of her opponent, then digs a right down to the center of her body.
She gets clipped to her lips with a left cross to slow her assault down, the girls trade punches around each others guards till Kate manages to slip a hard right to the ribs of Romee.
Kate starting to hurt her back onto the ropes, Romee having to fight back hard, the girls nearly bump into each other again.
The bell rings to stop them with Sarah stepping between them, Romee nodding at Kate, knowing her ass just got kicked and she has to pick her game up for the rest of the fight.
Round 3:
Romee trying to pick up the pace, stepping forwards into a hard exchange between the two fighters, both girls slugging it out in tight, heads being knocked around.
It looks like Romee is going to get on the front foot, but she gets caught by an uppercut that snakes it's way through her guard to knock her head back.
Kate slamming two more hooks to the cheeks of Romee to knock her towards a corner, the fan favourite looking hurt as she covers up to protect herself from the rampaging Canadian.
Clinching up, Romee shakes her head to clear it as Kate snarls, frustrated that she couldn't find the off switch early to save herself for the final.
Instead she has to wait for Sarah to get involved, pulling the fighters apart so they can get back to fighting.
Kate rushing a bit too quickly in to try and try to hurt Romee, but she gets caught herself on the chin by a desperate right hand to turn her head.
Romee fighting hard to get at Kate, leading to more scruffy infighting, the girls landing their best shots to the others bodies, but only landing glancing at best punches up top.
Both make the decision to step back, circling each other with straight punches over the others guards, till Romee surprises Kate with an uppercut of her own.
It doesn't land cleanly, but puts Kate onto the back foot with not long left in the round, Kate covering up as Romee throws a flurry of punches at her arms, stinging them.
The bell rings and the girls separate on their own, not wasting time thinking of staring the other down, instead wanting their slightly reddened faces to be cleaned up.
Romee looking slightly more relaxed, but she doesn't feel at all like she's pushed Kate back yet, even with that last drive, she's becoming frustrated as she thinks what she can do to win this.
Round 4:
Romee comes on the attack, snapping out her jab out at Kate, whose covering up early on, the Dutch model slinging her right hand to the body of Kate to get around the guard.
Out of the pocket comes Kate, surprising Romee with a big right cross that makes her opponent stumble backwards.
Now Romee is covering up as Kate pounds away at that guard, she steps back and falls to her backside, the crowd is up to see what happened, but Sarah rules it a slip.
After getting up and being checked, it seems to give Romee a moment to recover after getting caught and she looks back up for this as she slams a right into the ribs.
Romee adds a left hook up top to start knocking Kate back, Kate having to dig in to exchange, the fighters exchange stiff shots till they fall into a clinch.
The girls trying to shove each other back, snarling as the Sarah tries to push them apart, having to order them to separate, which they finally do.
After being ordered to fight, Romee steps in to a hard right cross, her head turning and she's clearly rattled as Kate powers forwards with a flurry of punches that knock her onto the ropes.
Romee covering up as Kate goes to work on her body as time ticks away.
Romee snaps a right out to try and force her way off the ropes that Kate takes flush on her lips, but she lands a right over the top to her temple.
The bell rings with Romee stuck on the ropes, not believing she's been caught by Kate so hard, the Canadian strutting away to her corner, looking proud of her handy work on Romee.
Romee makes it back to her corner as she puts her head onto the top turnbuckle to scream, her coach having to sit her down to clean her up and get her ready for the next round.
Round 5:
Out come the fighters, Romee somehow trying to fight her way back into this bout, getting caught to her cheeks with counter lefts and rights that are turning her head side to side.
Romee starting to cover up as Kate stalks her, not wanting to give the fan favourite a chance, she works behind her jab, stinging rights dig to the body of the Dutch lass to walk her backwards.
The girls trade a few shots to each others faces as Romee tries to fight back, but a big hand to her face shuts her down as she rocks back.
Kate still not going straight for the kill, maybe punishing her fellow model, digging away to the body of Strijd to knock her onto her heels.
Romee is almost throwing nothing back, she is clearly hurt and Kate along with the crowd basically knows it as well.
Pounded onto the ropes, the crowd wonders if she is going to end it now, but instead she keeps her opponent pinned to the ropes with her left, snapping her right to the body to cause her to gasp in pain.
Somehow Romee finds her way to clinch up, Kate saying something that the camera can't pick up, Romee doesn't look happy to hear it as she scowls at her, but she's in no shape to argue.
Sarah intervenes to pull the girls apart, whether wisely or not, she doesn't stop the fight as some might with Strijd just not able to offer much offence.
As the girls are ordered to fight again, Romee covers up as Kate almost gleefully comes forwards, digging her fists through the guard of Romee, bursting her lips open to make it look even worse for her.
Seconds tick away as Kate pins her to the ropes, Romee trying to fight her way off them, but getting caught cleanly time and again till the bell finally rings to end the round.
Romee looks down right miserable, no wonder after that beating she's just taken, she seems defiant as her coach tries to help her to her stool, shoving his hands away as she heads to her corner.
She starts arguing with him, not wanting this fight to end with her being forced to quit, she wanted to go out on her shield, how wise that is, is anyone's guess, most likely not is what most people would pick though.
Round 6:
Going against her coaches advice, Romee heads out for war, keeping her guard as tight as she can, though that doesn't last long.
Kate looking hungry to make a statement, pounds her fists around that guard, causing Romee to cry out in pain.
Till a right turns Romee's head around and down she goes to her side in a hard fall! She's stirring slowly but clearly she's hurt as she her eyes are shut tightly.
Sarah begins counting her out, Kate looking ready to strike at the first sign of movement, she doesn't have to as Romee just stays prone on the canvas, not making any real attempts to get up, leading to her being counted out.

Winner: Kate Bock KO Round 6

After:
As the bell is rung, we have our second finalist, Kate Bock dominated that fight, leading to pundits at ring centre wondering if the odds have tipped into her favour over the favourite Ireland Baldwin, who she gets to fight on PPV soon.
Kate bounces on her toes and throws her arms up in the air as she gets a mixed response, the New Jersey guys and girls are not happy seeing a girl they've taken as their own beaten so badly by an outsider.
To her credit, Kate does go over and help Romee up as Strijd's coach is in the ring getting her to her feet, Kate seem to be patting her opponent on her arm, telling her "you've got some guts, but I wasn't going to be beat tonight"
Romee doesn't look impressed by Kate, even after having her ass handed to her over 6 rounds, she replies "if we ever fight again, don't be so sure you'll see your hand raised"
Leading to Kate saying "we will see won't we" as the girls eyes meet in a not so friendly stare, though both nod to show respect to each other as while they won't be pals anytime soon, they still know the other is one fought bytch.
Romee is helped out the ring by her coach and a ringside medic, who will do tests on her later, when she is finally in the locker room.
While the young female interviewer steps into the ring to do her job, coming up to Kate, who almost is booed loud enough that she can't be heard.
She asks if they can lower the boos for a moment, getting no joy; she simply shouts "I know I wasn't your favourite tonight, I honestly don't hold that against you tonight! But understand that winning this tournament is a possible golden key to us youngsters!"
The crowd noise does start to die down a little, enough so she doesn't have to shout as she adds to her speech "Romee proved she has the stones to step into this ring and fight, she wanted what I did and tonight she wasn't good enough to overcome me, she never will be for the record but damn did she keep coming as I beat her back, she'll upset a few I can tell you"
Asked about Ireland Baldwin, who happens to be heading to the ring at the organisers request, Kate sees her and waves her in the ring.
"Talk of the devil, she put on a good fight I heard in the fight before mine, I hear that she's the titan of the group of us, well Ireland honey, I'm chopping you down to the canvas and standing over you as they crown me the second New Blood welterweight champion in history"
Ireland shakes her head as she steps into the ring, it's intense as these two big girls go body to body, Kate not backing down an inch as Baldwin has the few inches height advantage over her.
Sarah Lancaster with help from several members of security holds both girls back as they start spitting insults, things are becoming heated and if not for security, we'd be getting a preview right about now.
Instead the girls are pulled away from each other, Ireland is brought back up the ramp by the security around her, as Kate can be seen at the bottom of the ramp scowling at her.
Then Kate is led away to a slightly more mild response to before, she's still being booed, but people seem more interested in what is going to happen when these two fights collide in the final.
The PPV will see the second champ in these tournaments crowned, will Ireland use her height to win or can Kate step inside and do as she says, chop the bigger girl down to size? You'll have to wait and see guys.
