Bayley versus Nicki Minaj

BEFORE: The undefeated Nicki Minaj is on a 10-win streak, and she plans on making it 11 if she manages to defeat uprising Bantamweight fighter Bayley! Both have amazing backsides, but can their talk back up their strength?

“She’s wanted to fight me for a while, apparently.” Nicki acknowledges. “She wasn’t exactly in my plans going forward, but a fight is a fight. I’ll make sure she understands I’m too big of a target for her to take out tonight.”

“Nicki is REALLY strong as a boxer, so that’s why I wanted to fight her so bad!” Bayley says. “Plus, I like her music: it’s actually really catchy! That’s not the important thing, of course: the important thing is that I have a chance to knock out one of the stronger girls in this division and continue to show my mettle!”

ROUND 1: Both girls taking a neutral approach at first, but it’s Bayley who test the waters with a few starting shots. Nicki takes it in stride, showing off her solid defense. Bayley with a few more warm-up shots, but Nicki avoids them and sneaks in a stomach shot of her own! Nicki advances ever so slightly with her left glove, catching Bayley in the face, but Bayley is quickly back on the defense. The two are playing it smart, just moving and attacking back and forth; but make even one wrong move, and the other girl is strong enough to REALLY do some damage. Speaking of which, Bayley seems to slip a shot through Nicki’s guard with her right! But Nicki doesn’t let it slide, and responds right back with a big left hook! Nicki bashes Bayley up with a little more force just before the round ends, and that gets her the point lead just barely.

ROUND 2: Both girls still come out cautious, waiting for the right time to attack. Nicki, however, is clever, and manages to land some strikes before Bayley can really react. Minaj has an excellent ranged game this fight, unsurprisingly! Bayley finding some difficulty, but clearly working on some form of solution to the problem…she ducks under Nicki’s right, tries to get Nicki right in her breadbasket, but Nicki smacks her away without effort! Bayley’s opened up, and Nicki does alternating lefts and rights to her ribs, ending with a right cross. Bayley’s on the defensive now as Nicki closes in on her with a few more hits, but her guard protects her just in time! Nicki backs off, now, going right back to poking Bayley at a good range, and the bell rings soon after. Nicki’s offensive tactics let her keep up her amazing strength!

ROUND 3: Nicki right back at it, not switching up her strategy: if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it! Bayley still desperate to attack, and if this keeps up Nicki is just gonna dominate her! Bayley blocking, stepping away from another punch…the rapper is swift to move, trying to go for that vulnerable gut but NO! Bayley catches her as she steps forward! Swift footwork from the pro wrestler as she shows her strength by rocking Nicki’s head from side to side! Nicki is quick to get her guard up, and as Bayley attacks she counterpunches her right in the gut—Bayley STILL digging in there and connecting with her left! Nicki sees her chance, still working on Bayley’s midsection, but Bayley BLASTS her back with just a little more force in her gloves! Nicki learns her lesson, staying on the run from a slightly more aggressive Bayley until the bell rings; since she wasn’t able to follow up, that means Bayley took her over in points this time!

ROUND 4: Nicki trying to think of a way to get around Bayley’s jolt of energy; it’s a battle of strategy as much as it is a battle of strength. She’s not finding much, though; any attempt to bait Bayley with a feint has failed! Nicki decides to go through piercing that guard; it gets her nowhere, though! Bayley parries the right and responds with a left! Not enough to stop Nicki just yet, though, as the rapper responds by blasting her in the chest! The two are brawling it out, but Nicki doesn’t want to stay for long and dashes out of Bayley’s range. Nicki is clearly trying to prod and poke for a vulnerable area, but she doesn’t find much of one; Bayley is just on her constantly and her defense has quickly caught on to Nicki’s power! The bell rings and the points give Bayley a win, making them 2-2 in terms of rounds.

ROUND 5: Bayley starting to get a bit more aggressive now, thinking she’s got Nicki figured out…but Nicki is more than ready for her, and the smirk on the Sri Lankan’s face shows that Bayley is actually just helping her! Bayley swings a few times, misses, and gets an uppercut to the chin for her trouble! Bayley shocked—she thought she finally got Nicki under control! Minaj making Bayley scream and shout as she combos the pro wrestler into the corner, a hook opening up a cut! Bayley FINALLY gets her guard up, but it’s obvious that Nicki might have her number at this point; Nicki jabbing, jabbing, jabbing—but the bell rings! Bayley keeps herself alive this round, but one wrong move and Nicki could knock her out at any time!

ROUND 6: Nicki seeing this as HER chance to attack, now: Bayley’s cut was healed, but she knows that she just might have one-up on the Californian. Bayley isn’t giving up, and as a matter of fact is doubling down! Nicki tries to strike her as much as she can, but Bayley counters and catches Nicki right in the chin! The two fight at the center of the ring, trading blows back and forth; Nicki with a hook, Bayley dodges and comes in with a straight and THAT does it! Nicki moving backwards, still tossing out hooks—one connects with Bayley’s cheek, but that doesn’t stop the pro wrestler from bringing the pain as she BUSTS UP Nicki’s nose! Now with Nicki on the ropes, Bayley lets loose on her midsection once more; Nicki trying to react, but she just CAN’T! The ref steps in…is this it? No, Nicki says she can still fight! The ref waves them back in, but it doesn’t do much good as the round ends soon after. Bayley taking this round now!

ROUND 7: Both girls have a blazing battle the second they come out of their corners, seeing this round as their chance to win it all, it looks like! Bayley starts out landing some big hits on Nicki’s stomach once again, but Nicki is swift and rocks Bayley’s chest once more! Bayley grits her teeth and keeps swinging, hoping that she can stun Minaj JUST enough to knock her down! Nicki stands her ground, going for the breadbasket shots as Bayley’s right barely grazes her—oh, but a BIG left crashes into her face! Bayley going in, fast punches to every where she can land them! Nicki looking shaky as she’s getting hit, her punches not even ANYWHERE near Bayley as she desperately fights back! Bayley ducks—and BIG uppercut that makes Nicki jump and crash right onto the canvas! Bayley goes back to her corner, the ref’s counting Minaj out…she’s struggling! Every time she gets up, she falls right back down. One more attempt…she’s going…she’s going…ooh, but she falls and she’s GONE! 8…9…10! DING DING DING! Bayley has BROKEN Nicki’s win streak! KO7 Bayley!

AFTER: Bayley elated that she won such a close fight, celebrating along with the cheers of the crowd. Nicki finally rises…and Bayley gives her a big hug to show her appreciation! Nicki seemingly too stunned to fight back or even respond, just drunkenly staggering back to her corner.

“Wow, that was a CLOSE fight!” Bayley observes. “Nicki was the fight I always dreamed of having here, and MAN did she come close! But I hope I showed her I’m not the kinda girl you can mess with! Much love to her, I still love her music, but I was the one on top tonight; just barely, though! Man, what a fight…!”

She keeps gushing about it to us, and she has every right to!
