Alexis Ren versus Emmy Rossum
(Words: Vixens / Results: Lookout!)

Alexis:
(20, 5’9, 7:1 FCBA, Vixens)

Emmy:
(30, 5’8, 3:4 FCBA, Tech Unlimited Europe

Before: Alexis bouncing on her toes, unnaturally energetic for a girl who just came off a tough fight barely a week ago against Lioness Club’s Charlotte Church. Still, pundits wondering whether she can go another ten rounds in the ring, and Emmy Rossum certainly wanting to take advantage of Ren’s relatively short downtime.

“She’s gassed out - she has to be,” Rossum smiles to the cameras. “This little girl thinks she can take on the entire world. I’m gonna give her a reality check.”

Alexis looking nonplussed at Emmy’s comments, concentrates on barraging her hated rival Alyssa Lynch instead: “Where the f*ck is she?? She’s GONE, that’s what! She couldn’t handle Church, and now she knows that if we go again in the ring, she’ll be the one who GOES DOWN!”

Reporters try to get Ms Ren to focus on her imminent fight instead, to which Alexis dismissively shakes her head. “Rossum’s past her prime. She needs to acknowledge us new kids on the block. We’ll run circles around her.”

Weigh-ins surprisingly civil for one involving Alexis Ren. Both girls simply stare each other down, both hands on hips in steady poise. Alexis with that cheeky smile on her face, dressed in white-laced bra and panties, dark blue and black striped gloves. Emmy smirking as well, waving red glove in opponent’s face, a white towel draped over body hugged by black bikini. Referee checks that both girls are comfy in corners and rings the bell for ten rounds of Lightweight action:

Round 1: Alexis using her sprite to show the older woman how it’s done in the early minutes, throwing frequent jab combos that stun Emmy in the face, even though the brunette was warned by her corner early on that Alexis would come at her quick and hard. Ren doing hit-and-run like she’s known for, attacking Rossum’s high-guard with a flurry of punches, then jumping out, but not before ramming fist to the tummy. Ren a bit too slow however for what comes next: Rossum anticipating that flurry to the body, whacks a right hook up top, coming in from the side and bouncing off Alexis’ hastily-raised left arm! The blow rocks her to one side regardless, making her stumble. Emmy follows up quickly with another left hand that tags the cheek, then a BIG RIGHT PUNCH goes in for the kill - but it misses Ren’s head as she bobs the other way. Still, danger-time for Alexis right there as she almost got caught in that torrent of counter-blows. Emmy looking cool for someone Alexis claims is past her prime. Alexis winning the battle overall but the Vixen needs to be careful not to lose the war!

Round 2: Alexis puts her foot on the accelerator again as she dives in, oblivious to the danger present in the last round. A one-two jab from her doesn’t trouble Emmy, who’s throwing fewer counter-blows. Instead, wades forward a little by little, conserving her energy and focusing on herding the younger fighter to the corner. Alexis seems content with scoring those light jab-jabs on Emmy’s cheek and body, doesn’t realise it’s all part of Rossum’s plan: suddenly, another right hook comes out of nowhere - Alexis barely has time to duck as it sails right over her head again, but is caught by follow-up LEFT HOOK CRASHES into her face! Ren complacent with that one, simply paying for her own carelessness. Emmy however too slow - hands don’t trouble Alexis as blonde retreats quickly, running back to the other corner of the ring in slight shock. She’s panting heavily from that danger-exchange, plays defensive for the remainder of the round, confident in doing enough before and content with just staying out of the way of unpredictable Emmy.

Round 3: Possible rout in the match as Emmy rebounds and takes control - Alexis having no counter to her excellent defensive sparring as Rossum comes at her with both hands guarding her face almost tightly, leaving Ren with little to no targets to attack. Whenever Ren ventures south for some satisfying tummy-slamming, Emmy’s turn to JERK quick one-two fists into her mouth and chin, giving Ren more punishment than she can dish out. Alexis cursing at the end of the round, momentum turning against her. Not so for Emmy, who seems to have persuaded this crowd to root for her instead - indeed many a audience member wondering where the f*ck this gorgeous brunette beauty been on the scene thus far?

Round 4: Alexis stubborn as f*ck though. That’s one thing you can say about her: when she wants something, she goes all out to get it. Emmy smiling at this, content with following same strategy that netted her the previous two rounds: absorbing the drumming of Alexis’ quick fists on her guard, then brunette prepares to swing her right hook followed by a left uppercut into Alexis’ jaw, but instead, gets her chest wrapped around by Alexis’ arms in a tight clinch. “What the hell??” Rossum manages to spit, before Alexis RAPS illegal forehead right onto her own, in clear violation that was seen by everyone except the referee! Rossum, however, certainly saw it coming - momentarily blackness replaced by dull pain in her abdomen as Ren holds the disorientated brunette with one hand and pummels fist to the body and chest with the other. Crowds far from cheering though: boos rising in crescendo, but f*ck if Ren cares at this point,. Blonde grits her teeth and continues wailing on stunned Rossum all the way to the ropes. Rossum far from done, however, recovers well enough to hold up both hands to cover up best she can. Ren focusing too much effort on the body, ignores opponent’s head until too late. To the bell, Emmy turtles up well and manages to stave off a knockdown.

Round 5: “Sh*t the f*ck up,” Alexis shouts at the crowd as they continue their jeering. “All you ASS-lyssa-wannabes,” the blonde spits into the corner bucket as the medical team checks on Emmy’s bruised forehead. Looks like she’s okay, folks. Cheers return as Emmy stands back up, nodding her assent to the referee to continue. Alexis lets loose a scowl on face in reply as bulls in for the kill. Emmy going back to her passive ways, absorbing blow after blow from Ren, but not sure if she’s playing dumb again or she’s genuinely hurt from that illegal headbutt. Alexis however not sticking around the find out, seems like she alone knows how disorientated her opponent must be at this point. A left-right combo to either of Emmy’s cheek scores cleanly… jabs lacked venom, but Emmy already looks rocked! Brunette stumbles back and here comes Ren: another left-right deep into the gut leaves her bent over, giving Ren as open a target to BLAST uppercut to Emmy’s chin! Aaaanndd… IT’S OVER FOLKS! Concussion must have been multiplied from those repeated blows to Emmy’s head. She looks out before she even hits the canvas face-first!

Official Decision: Alexis Ren defeats Emmy Rossum via KO5!

After: Perhaps no one so far as polarising and controversial a figure as Alexis Ren has been - the lithe blonde smiling to conceited self as she prances about all four corners of the ring, channeling WWE starlet AJ Lee’s psychopathic alter-ego, raising both hands skyhigh whilst the crowds make their displeasure clearly known.

Paramedics check on Ms Rossum in the corner, but no empathy from Ren, who very quickly changes from pure jubilation at her win to pure anger at the crowd’s continued disrespect, when they soon suddenly start chanting at her: “ASS-lyssa kicked your ASS-lyssa kicked your ASS-lyssa…”. Alexis exits the ring with a scowl on her face, flashing rude signs to the crowds as she’s escorted quickly back to locker room by Head Trainer Steve Boyd. When Emmy finally starts coming to, camera zooms in all the way for the crowd’s benefit as they change their chant to “Emmy! EMMY!!” bringing a small smile to the her lips. Perhaps Ms Rossum really did win the war after all?
