Before: Britney seems to be falling off the radar, half the fights of her opponent and hardly getting what one could call a push. Ashley, on the other hand, has taken advantage of a stumbling Claire Holt to batter her way into a title shot last year, and finds herself still within striking distance.
“I’m not done, not by a longshot,” Brit insists in pre-fight. “I’m just at a point where I only need to take the fights that interest me. I’ve got nothing left to prove, and I don’t need to be in there with fighters who do.”

“Frege? Alba? Those are the fighters with nothing to prove that interest her? I’m the one passing off fights to Eiza so I can get ready for a title fight, and she’s doing ME a favor?” Ashley giving reporters the eye, “Who does she think she’s kidding?”

R1: Britney set up on the ropes, Ashley attacking her. Greene leans in her left shoulder against the forearms of Brit’s raised guard. Ashley crowds in close, then erupting—pounding sudden bursts of right lefts and rights against Britney’s shoulders/biceps in concussive combination, then crowding back in with her left shoulder to reset. Spears calm in the pocket, her ready position elbows-in, gloves loose at cheeks, torso tilted slightly forward, absorbing blows on her flanks and arms—letting Greene ramp up the punch count-then answering with cutey-pie little right uppercuts; cuffing hooks; frequently pulling on the back of brunette’s head and tying her up when Ashley leans in.

R2: Britney relaxed on the ropes, once again letting Ashley shoulder-in against the Spears guard. More punishment to Britney’s arms—beefy smashing lefts and rights delivered in sudden bursts. Greene bumping her left shoulder in the ready position, hooking Britney’s paunch, then hooking right uppercuts—doubling and tripling ‘em up, scraping against Britney’s guard, diligently looking to part those mitts. Midway through, breakthrough: either due to Ashley’s timing or Brit’s punishment, brunette hooks blonde’s paunch, then finally splitting the mitts with a curling left hand; SPEARS IS SHOOK! Britney sitting in the ropes in swoon, grunting as Ashley consolidates with pair of hooks behind the right elbow, then a short, clouting right to ribs. Spears grimacing, bounces off the ropes, clinches, pulling Greene in head-and-arm for ref’s break. Ashley making sure of distance with the jab before proceeding with the hook, methodically breaking down her Hall-of-Famer. Spears not able to counter much: Ashley doing a very good job of suppressing Britney’s receipts early.

R3: Britney butt-in-ropes, absorbs a series of brutal uppercuts to her chest and ribcage as Ashley wades in punching. First loss of discipline as Greene’s smelling blood, she’s very open, takes a licking left uppercut/tidy left hook combo clean to chin. Ashley wobbly butt, right hand at lips, left across her chest, as she tries to crowd. Brit dips right, whacks a savage right to Greene’s open ribs: brunette blurts in pain, crumpling forward. Spears gently pushes Ashley’s head aside while dipping left, hooking off her left foot to brunette’s liver. Greene reaching in to clinch: Spears swipes a wider hook across kidneys while bouncing on the left foot—gets an insurance, hook across and ASHLEY GOES DOWN! Greene on all fours, staring out through the ropes: Spears hands on hips, dragging in breath as she stalks to neutral corner: she’s all but finished herself, but sight of Ashley in peril boosting Britney’s spirits. Greene climbs ropes, beats the count, now she sets up on the ropes, gloves at mouth as Spears is invited on in after 8. Britney carrying her left hand low as she bends into a slamming right to Ashley’s jaw, crowd roaring as brunette soaks the shot, slumps into turnbuckles with hands at her chest: SPEARS LATHERS AWAY! hup-hup-hupping lefts and rights, pasting Greene senseless, Bell: ref pulls Britney off her foe as Ashley swoons out on her feet.

R4: Ashley’s not right, drifting off to her left as she’s trying to walk straight. Britney virtually spent after all-in effort last round, but pouring in her reserves: big hands miss, but chase Greene to ropes at the stagger. Spears steps-to, giving Ashley a shoulder-prop in close, working bump-‘n-punch: tidy, licking, swiping hooks and uppercuts, scoring brutally against brunette’s breasts and tummy. Double-swat punch to paunch cramps Greene up late—she spits out her mouthpiece in pain, but manages to clinch, tying Spears up for ref’s break. Final moments painful to watch: Brit laying in, but unable to punch with enough authority to finish wounded Ashley, early body work paying off by denying Spears finishing vigor.

R5: Corner crews working feverishly in the interval, both fighters come out in somewhat better form. Hot-tossing exchanges as Britney waits on Ashley at midring, then fights savagely with her when brunette pounces in. Greene controlling the ring with her legs - circling clockwise, initiating the exchanges: she's scoring effectively, throwing and landing more. Spears cute, supple from her rolling torso - often cuffing Ashley heavy, swatting left hooks, or catching her to paunch with swinging right hands. Greene the aggressor however - tidying up in the exchanges - applying vigorous swabbings to Britney's breasts. Bell: girls still toe-to-toe, swatting and cuffing in close - ref has to move in as tempers are flaring.

R6: Britney forming up on ropes, Ashley moving in close to carry her right hand to the pit of blonde's throbbing stomach, then dipping left to dig an evil left hook in behind Spears' right elbow. Give Brit credit - she answers back a left/right/left series of choppy little uppercuts out of the crouch, leaning back into the ropes with the motion and covering up her face. Ashley back with a muscular, strapping left/right against the waist - fists landing with a beefy CHUP! CHUP! Spears groans forward behind her mitts: Greene bumping Britney for tidy little cuff-hooks and chop right hands to the head. Spears breaking down, swooning, loosening up, Greene able to punch through the guard, or pull Brit's hands down - really opening up the chest and head for clubbing business. Ashley very disciplined, keeping everything short n' sharp, beating Spears head and shoulders, but fitting the odd shot heavy to the body, just to shake her up. Britney slumping forward to clinch - but Ashley's just stacking her up, wriggling out of it and answering to the midsection with kneading lefts and rights: Spears unable to tie up effectively as brunette keeps working. Greene steps back, keeps hands moving to continually pick Britney up. Ashley hup-hup-hupping, Brit bent way out over her feet as she staggers and GOES DOWN! Spears trembling, out of it - she's trying to pick up her mouthpiece with her glove as the 10 count passes her by! KO6 in hardworking fashion Ashley Greene!

After: Ashley letting her eagerness get her into trouble, once again able to pay for a win with her gut, but if she wants to wrest the front-runner status away from Claire Holt while the blonde is on the DL, she’s going to have to avoid her opponents free rounds.
