Kendall Jenner versus Joanne Kelly

(Girls Friday vs Free Agent)

Intro:
The next fight on the card sees Kendall Jenner try to keep this run
she's on going, but she faces a tough task at taking down another
possible title contender in Joanne Kelly.

The youngster Kendall is on a 6 fight win streak at the moment, making
her current record 9 wins, all by knockout and 2 losses, she was the
first lightweight New Blood champion.

While the actress Joanne Kelly is in the top 20 at lightweight, having
fought top fighters all her career and she hopes to get another title
bout hopefully from this fight.

In the build up to the fight, Kendall seemed bullish in her comments,
telling the press "I'm going to enjoy this fight, Joanne is one of the
girls in my way to the top, then she is going to find out what others
have learned the hard way, I can be nice to those who show me respect,
to those who don't; I knock them out".

Adding "if you doubt me, ask Durance, Brook, Helfer, even Bundchen,
three were lightweight champions here, two were Queens of the ice
hotel, they have all found out that I'm not some no talent bimbo as
some want you to believe".

Joanne on the other hand doesn't seem that impressed by Kendall,
saying in her own interview "Kendall claims to be a big fish now
because she's beaten some of the old guard, the thing is I'm not one
of them, I'm the now and Adriana Lima better be watching as I want my
title fight".

Asked on how she thinks this year is going to go for her, she replies
"as I said, I want to become the champ, too long have I waited to
strap that gold around my waist but have been kept from it, this year
I make things right"

The weigh in was eventful, both girls in each others faces, trading
insults about talents, looks, even the amount of sex both get is used
as an insult, before the hair pulling started and the girls had to be
pulled apart.

Now it's fight night, out comes Kendall with Melanie Sykes and Eva
Carneiro, stable chief adviser Mel seems to have taken a real shine to
Kendall if rumours are to be believed.

By the looks of it they are as both Melanie pats the guest fighter in
her stable on her back and points down to the ring, saying "this is
your time to shine babe" Kendall nodding as she begins her walk to the
ring.

Kendall is wearing her usual white sports bra, matching trunks with
"Queen" in gold letters on the waistband, white gloves and shoes, she
has her bright red lipstick that she usually wears from her brand of
cosmetics with her little sister Kylie.

Climbing into the ring, Kendall bows to each side of the ring, before
jogging to her corner and going through her warm up routine with
Melanie looking to keep her focused on the task at hand.

Out comes Joanne now, her coach walking down to the ring in front of
her as she looks in the zone, ignoring her fans as she knows a win her
gets her closer to a title shot she craves.

Tonight she is wearing a simply red sports bra, matching trunks to go
with her gloves and shoes, her long brunette hair tied up in a
ponytail.

Climbing into the ring, she looks straight at Kendall, both girls eyes
are locked as they look ready to charge each other and take them down
to the canvas to beat them up.

Their coaches keep them calm enough that Joanne heads to her corner
without any incidents, even if the crowd were hoping there would be.
Brought to the ring centre by the referee, the girls continue to stare
each other down, annoyed at each other over their comments, knowing
once that bell rings they'll get to make their opponent eat their
words.

Asked to touch gloves, there's a thud as the girls hammer their gloves
together, wanting to show the other their power, before jogging to
their corners.

Once they are there, the referee looks happy and signals for the bell
to begin 10 rounds of lightweight boxing action.

Round 1:
Out come the girls from their corners with purpose in their eyes,
Kendall starting off strong, beating Joanne to the punch with her
longer reach.

The girls trading at midrange, Joanne looking to land a hard right but
Kendall slips to the side, landing a straight punch to open up her
Canadian rival, allowing her to land a left hook to push her back.
Joanne covering up early as Kendall is on the front foot, looking to
show her skills off and prove she belongs in the top part of the
rankings.

But after she drives Kelly to the ropes, the older girl opens up to go
on the attack, nearly barraging her body into Jenner's as she works
her body.

The girls fighting in tight, both wanting to win badly against each
other as the action becomes scruffy, nudging each other with their
left arm to land hard rights over the top or to the body.

Kendall steps back to try and open up space between the two, but
Joanne keeps in close, the girls lashing shots around each others
guards.

It's Joanne whose coming on stronger, landing some good shots up the
inside, Kendall covering up now as the actress presses her back.
As Kendall looks like she's going to be pressed back onto a set of
ropes, she lands a jab and moves away from the ropes and gets back to
create space between the girls.

As Joanne tries to get back to the inside, Kendall digs her shots
through the open gaps in her guard to keep her back.

Not long left in the round, Joanne fiends a left and then ducks a left
from Kendall, timing her way to get in close and land a right to the
ribs of the youngster.

Forcing the girls to fight in tight just before the bell rings, both
girls stop and stare hard at each other, Joanne telling Kendall "Lima
is mine" before jogging back to her corner.

Kendall shakes her head, not bothering to reply as she heads to her
corner, Melanie straight away giving her advice as Eva goes to work,
keeping Kendall from staring at her opponent, instead wanting her
focused on her and what she has to say.

Round 2:
Kendall starting off strong again, that slight height advantage is
giving her the early part of the round with her jab and movement
around Joanne.

But Joanne uses her top flight experience, parrying a jab and stepping
in tight to land two hard body punches that make Kendall grunt with
each hit.

Kendall tries to shove Joanne back, but the physical Kelly presses her
way back in, throwing a four punch combo that consists of two body
shots, followed by two overhand punches.

That forces Kendall to cover up as Joanne comes charging on, left
pinning that guard against the model so she can dig her right around
the guard.

Kendall retreating quickly to open up the space again and lands a
stiff straight punch again to the nose of Joanne.

Both fighters trading at midrange as they circle each other, the crowd
cheering both fighters on to get stuck in as the fighters focus is
purely on the lanky girl in front of them.

Joanne surprises Kendall by stepping back and making her overextend
her left, allowing Kelly to step in and land a hard left hook to put
Jenner onto her heels.

Shoving Kendall back onto the ropes, Joanne head down onto the guard
of the taller fighter, digging lefts and rights around the guard to
the body of her opponent.

Kendall clinching up with Joanne and grappling with her on the ropes,
both fighters feeling the ropes burning into their sides as they try
to turn each other onto the ropes, instead pushing each other along
the ropes.

The referee does his job, pulling the girls apart, Kendall looking to
at least finish strong as she snaps her punches into the top of her
opponent's head.

Joanne though gets back into midrange with not long left in the round,
the girls going hard at each other with a flurry of punches from each
fighter.

The bell rings to a loud roar from the crowd, both girls raising their
arms, though it's clear that Joanne had the lions share of that round.
Joanne nodding to her coach as she returns to her corner, while
Kendall is kept calm by Melanie, knowing this is one of the biggest
fights for young Kendall.

Round 3:
Meeting near the ring centre, Joanne covering up as Kendall starts off
with her long range strikes once more, Joanne though is pressing
forwards till she can time her attack.

Forcing her way forwards, Joanne gets close enough to Kendall to force
the big American backwards, rifling her own punches to the abs of the
model, who steps back out of range to counter with a jab, followed by
a right hook that just glances the lips of Joanne, who stepped back
herself.

The fighters starting to get a measure of each other, meet again to
trade single punches at midrange, looking for a hole in the others
defence to strike through.

Kendall mistiming her attack as Joanne ducks under a left and slams
two body shots in and an overhand right to knock her opponent back a
few steps.

Joanne stepping on the gas, pressuring her opponent back with a flurry
of punches that snap off the arms of the retreating Kendall.
Some in the crowd starting to turn to Joanne's side, till Kendall
catches her with a right hook as the actress comes in for a straight
punch.

Kendall starting to rock the head of Joanne back with several punches
straight over the top of her guard, that is till Joanne's back hits a
turnbuckle.

Forced into a literal corner, Joanne fights hard to get out of there,
the two fighters slugging it out as one wants to escape, the other to
pin their opponent back.

Shoving Kendall to unbalance her, Joanne nearly headbutts Jenner as
she pushes herself out the corner to lash in shots to the lips of the
taller fighter.

Kendall's head snaps back a few times and Joanne looks to be in
perfect position to hurt her opponent badly, the problem is that
Kendall's speed allows her to retreat before Kelly can pin her onto
ropes or into a corner.

Joanne cursing herself as Kendall takes a moment to recover and with
not long left in the round, both fighters trade at midrange till the
bell ends the round.

Both fighters look annoyed, the girl in front of them was supposed to
be down by their feet by now, instead they've both shown they can hurt
each other.

No signs of respect between these two as they give each other a hard
glare, before heading off to their corners to get their coaches to get
them ready for the next round.

Kendall's body is starting to show red marks on from being Joanne's
focus of attack, while Joanne's cheeks are starting to look marked up.

Round 4:
Joanne trying to break the early routine, letting Kendall try and jab
at her, moving back to force the blonde to miss.

Then stepping in to crack Kendall across the cheek with a left cross,
beginning to drive her back towards the ropes.

Kendall blocking as much as she can, Joanne slipping a few punches
around the guard to the body of the tall Jenner sibling.

Snapping a straight through the gap left in Joanne's defence, gives
Kendall a chance to fight back, the girls trading in tight.

But it's Kendall who starts to drive Joanne back, a right uppercut
snaps Kelly's head back and the older fighter is being driven back.
Joanne shaking her head as she steps away from Kendall to retreat, the
model doesn't let her get too far away, snapping a double jab up top
force the brunette to cover up.

Then she lands a right hook to the ribs of Joanne, who groans and her
hands slip down from protecting her face for a moment.

It gives Kendall an opening to send four punches right to the center
of Joanne's face, snapping her head back and cameras catch blood
running down the actresses face.

Joanne clinching up, needing a moment to work out what just happened
to her, not a good look for her as Kendall presses her onto the ropes
in the clinch.

The referee pulling the girls apart and as the action begins once
more, Joanne is forced behind her guard as Kendall sends a flurry of
punches to the face of her opponent, landing mostly on the arms of
Kelly though, only a few snap through to the face.

It's not long till the bell rings with Kendall jogging back to her
corner, leaving Joanne to curse her for that punishing round,
especially bad in Joanne's mind as she started strongly.

Heading back to her own corner, her coach working on stopping the
blood from her nose, upsetting her even more.

Round 5:
Joanne looking aggressive, coming right for Kendall, who starts off
confidently with her jab and some come movement.

But she gets caught by a right up top and Joanne gets in tight to land
two short sharp body punches, before she is nudged back.

Kendall can't keep Joanne back as the brunette is not happy with
herself and is taking it out on the youngster, in close and banging
away at the guard of Jenner and her body.

Pressing Kendall towards a corner, Joanne is throwing punch after
punch straight onto the guard of Kendall, reddening those arms.
Retreating quickly and away from the corner, Kendall looks relieved as
Joanne doesn't have the turn of speed to go after her straight away.

The girls trade as they square up, Joanne looking to step into the gap
again to hurt Kendall, but she gets spiked to her nose with a hard
left and a follow up right dissuades her from continuing forward.

Momentum changing as Kendall starts throwing her own barrage that
Joanne is doing her best to cover up, the younger fighter slips cross
punches around the guard of Kelly to knock her head around.

Joanne drives back up the inside though, landing an uppercut to snap
Kendall's head back, now it's Kendall being driven back with the model
retreating quickly to clear her head.

Seconds remaining in the round as the girls square up and trade with
their feet planted, Joanne looks good till at the bell, she gets
caught with a straight to her nose, making her yelp in pain as more
blood flies from that nose onto the canvas.

Kendall staring hard at the nose of Joanne, part of her hoping she can
break that nose, then shaking her head to get that thought out of it,
"just beat her" she thinks to herself.

Joanne meanwhile doesn't look as upset, more pained looking as her
coach works on her nose, trying to stop the bleeding again but it is
starting to look bad.

Round 6:
The girls head out, Joanne looking to rush Kendall, but the youngster
is ready for her, stepping out the way of a right from the brunette.
Snapping a double jab to that bloody nose of Joanne, the Canadian
looks hurt and her arms are too low down as her eyes are shut.

Kendall taking the opening with both hands, landing two hard hooks to
either cheek of Joanne, who stumbles and falls to her back!
The referee gives Joanne a quick check and sees she's blinking, so
begins his count, Joanne is stirring, shoving herself up to a knee at
6 and beats the count at 9.

After being checked on, Joanne is allowed to continue, but she looks
hurt as Kendall comes on, snapping a jab at the guard of the hurting
fighter, finding a hole through the center of the guard.

Landing a right hook once more to turn Joanne's legs to jelly and an
uppercut switches the light off of Kelly, who crumbles to the canvas,
the referee checks her over and waves that the fight is over, Joanne
is knocked out!

Winner: Kendall Jenner KO Round 6

After:
That makes 7 wins for Kendall, who pounds her right glove to her chest
as the crowd show their love for her, chanting her name.
Her corner crew rush in and hug her, Melanie telling her "this is the
win you needed, this is your time babe, don't let anyone tell you
differently".

Kendall smiling warmly and nodding, thanking Melanie for being so
supportive, the youngster seems to have finally find her stride in
this division.

Joanne is being helped by the doctor, a stretcher being brought into
the ring as she will be napping for awhile after that knockout.
Some pundits are questioning the referee letting it continue after the
first knockdown, maybe more with hindsight seeing the fighter taken
off out the arena that way.

'Kendall isn't too bothered by Joanne being taken out, she is buzzing
after tonight, getting her hand raised to a loud cheer.

Before she heads to the ropes and says "this is my year! I keep
telling you and they don't listen!" Pointing at some pundits are
ringside, laughing as she heads out the ring and past those who've
told her she's a nobody.

Heading up the ramp with Melanie and Eva, she almost feels fresh; even
as her body aches from the body punches she endured tonight.
Into the back, she's met by the press, Kendall smiles and tells them
"first let me say I hope Joanne will be OK, she got under my skin I'll
admit before the fight but she earned some respect from me, but at the
end of the day, she found out what people are finding out lately, I'm
not some no talent fighter, I can fight with the best of them and I
hope Lima and Strahovski is listening, I want my title shot soon"
Smiling as she leaves, clearly believing she has said all she needs
to, even Melanie is surprised with the preciseness of Kendall's
message.

All the girls head into the Girls Friday locker room, the girls
fighting on the card and some of the ones who've traveled over to
support their stablemates all smile at Kendall.

Even though she's a guest fighter, she is like one of the family to
the girls in the stable, most knowing Kendall before she joined the
group from modelling with her, Kendall feeling loved as she thanks the
girls and Alessandra rushes to her hug, telling her "if we are racing
babe, I can't lie, you are beating me by several laps" talking about
the race to the title shot.

Kendall replies "it doesn't matter who gets it, we have each others
back babe" bumping fists with each other and laughing as the feel good
factor in the locker is only not felt by girls like Hilary Rhoda,
whose concentrating on her own title shot at Hannah Ferguson.
But even she nods at Kendall to show her support to her friend and
getting a loud good luck from Kendall in reply, will they be happy at
the end of the night though?
