BEFORE:

"Aly Michalka at Asylum," says the blonde with a gorgeous smile. "I've got only one thing to say about that. It's about TIME!"

"I've been wondering when Aly was going to get a fight here," says Leven with a nod. "And, honestly, I was hoping that, when she did, it would be against me. Obviously, she's a former champion and she has a great record. She's a tremendous challenge. And, I can't wait for the opportunity to prove I belong in there with a girl like her."

ROUND ONE:

O'Dell: "Back at ringside and that's 'Stray Heart' by Green Day, and that can only mean that 'The Houston Solution', Leven Rambin, is on her way to ringside..."

Cassie: "As always, Uncle Wiz showing proper fight etiquette. Aly is a former champion and Leven is not, thus, Aly gets the honors tonight..."

McCarthy: "What Weirdo knows about etiquette could be written on the back of of a gum wrapper..."

Tess: "And, as Leven points out, this is a huge opportunity for her tonight. Find a way to beat Michalka, and she's right at the top of the Front Street bantamweight pecking order...and. she'd also have to be considered a serious contender in the division."

O'Dell: "Leven into the ring and helped off with the robe by Jewel and Neve. She's wearing that bubblegum pink two-piece we've seen before..."

Tess: "Awful. Just awful..."

O'Dell: "And, that's 'Symphony No. 5' by Beethoven..."

McCarthy: "No, it's NOT! That's the song from that headache medicine commercial they used to play when I was a little kid!"

Cassie: "Which was 'Symphony No. 5' by Beethoven..."

McCarthy: "It was NOT! Vanquish! That was it! It was a commercial for Vanquish! I remember that!"

Tess (mumbling): "Well, you're OLD enough to remember that..."

McCarthy: "I HEARD that! Shut UP, WALMART!"

O'Dell: "Drink up, boys! And, while you do so, keep a close eye on the lovely Alyson Michalka of the Bazz Fight Club, who's making her way to ringside right now. Michalka, of course, currently starring on 'iZombie' on the CW..."

Cassie: "And kicking butt in the FCBA's bantamweight division, like she has been since 2010!"

O'Dell: "Aly into the ring and helped off with the robe to reveal a blue bikini and a body that's the envy of about everyone in the arena..."

McCarthy: "Well, ALMOST everyone..."

O'Dell: "Aaaaannnnddd, the ladies are about ready. Time for some picks. Tess favors Aly. Mac?"

McCarthy: "Well, I think Michalka's a LITTLE overrated. But, she's definitely better than this random Dancing Hooker. Aly."

O'Dell: "Cassie?"

Cassie: "You KNOW I'm going with Aly The Mick!"

O'Dell: "And, there's the bell. Ladies setting up at gunnery range early and I'm not surprised. We have two of the taller bantams in the FCBA, and both have excellent reach for the division. Good combination from Rambin there, and that causes Michalka to cover up. ANOTHER good flurry from Leven, and Aly takes a step back..."

Tess: "I was wondering if we were going to see something like this. Both these girls used to having reach on almost everybody, and they don't tonight..."

O'Dell: "And, that may well be giving Michalka some problems early, because Leven's taking charge here, no question about that. She's not hurting Michalka, but the Front Streeter's in rhythm and she's fighting lead. She's got Aly on the back foot and definitely on the defensive at the moment..."

Cassie: "Aly will be fine. She'll get the geometry down. This girl is a champion, and there are a lot of reasons for that."

O'Dell: "Final thirty seconds of what's been a very encouraging first round for Leven. Rambin has the initiative here, and she's not going to allow Michalka to take it back. Leven staying on the offensive, keeping Michalka at bay. Five seconds left. One more flurry from Rambin and there's the bell. Leven and pretty wide, too in the first."

McCarthy: "Michalka had better wake up, because she just got out-boxed by a Dancing Hooker."

ROUND TWO:

O'Dell: "Second begins at range and Rambin right back to work. Aly landing in the counter now, and what was a one-way fight has become a two-way fight very quickly as Michalka's made her adjustments and gotten her range down, and she's now giving as good as she's getting."

Cassie: "I TOLD you Aly would be fine. I see this girl in the ring every day, and she's as good as any bantamweight in the FCBA. As she's PROVEN."

O'Dell: "Midway through a VERY competitive second round, and, this might bear mentioning. We all know, as Cassie pointed out, that Aly's a former champion and has been at the top of the division for several years. So, what you're seeing right now from Leven, a girl who has not reached that level, is pretty impressive."

Tess: "She's definitely holding her own with a top bantam, that's for sure. But, it's early."

O'Dell: "Is at that. Forty seconds left in the second round. Boxing continuing apace and both fighters able to score in this stanza. Nobody hurt. Nobody landing bombs, but both blondes are putting punches together and landing in combination as we roll to the bell. There it is. Nothing in it all all. Draw."

McCarthy: "20-19, Rambin after two, but it will be all downhill for her from here."

ROUND THREE:

O'Dell: "Third underway and we're back at range. Both of these long-limbed blondes like to be able to extend on their punches, and they're both in spots where they can do that now. Nice combination by Rambin and Michalka answers back with some hard shot of her own!"
McCarthy: "Best exchange of the fight so far. Heavy leather on both sides."

O'Dell: "There's ANOTHER big exchange and RAMBIN'S BUZZED! Michalka hurts Leven and I think it was that left hook in there..."

Cassie: "Absolutely was. That was the punch that did the damage!"

O'Dell: "And, now Aly taking control of this thing. Leven giving ground and covering up as Michalka begins to fire salvo after salvo at her. Rambin keeping the guard up, throwing counters here and there, but she's both on the defensive and in some serious trouble right now..."

Tess: "Not where you want to be against Michalka, that's for sure..."

O'Dell: "Coming down the stretch in the third round. Aly trying to finish this thing. Rambin playing defense, running clock. She's avoided the ropes so far, but Aly pins her with fifteen seconds to go. Michalka just WINGING away now trying to finish this. Going to run out of time. Five seconds...and there's the bell. Michalka wide."

Cassie: "And, we're even at 29, but everybody knows who's in charge in there."

ROUND FOUR:

O'Dell: "Michalka forward in the fourth, looking to consolidate, but Leven holding her ground, firing right back. Rambin bogging down the Michalka offensive and stopping it in its tracks early. This is good stuff from the Front Street blonde, ladies. She was on her heels, but she's stabilized her front..."

Cassie: "Sure is, but note that Aly doesn't keep pressing here. She just turned 28, but she's a 40-fight veteran and she's too smart to make that mistake."

O'Dell: "So, we're back to ranged boxing that quickly, as Rambin gets back to neutral. Both ladies showing some slicks and quicks now, moving the heads, hands, feet, angling, working to put punches together. Everything coming off those long left jabs, and both fighters accurate with them..."

Tess: "Very impressive for Rambin, able to work right back into the fight after being in real trouble a couple of minutes ago."

McCarthy: "Rambin's about as impressive as the Cleveland Browns..."

O'Dell: "Final twenty seconds of a nip and tuck fourth round. Leven slips Michalka's jab and fires back with a solid combination. Aly answers with a flurry of her own and THIS THING IS ON! Both ladies letting the hands go trying to grab this thing right before the bell...and there it is. Smiles and a glove touch from the blondes as both knew what the other was doing. Close. Rambin."

Tess: "And Leven back on top 39-38."

ROUND FIVE:

O'Dell: "Back to work in the fifth and we're back to that ranged boxing both fighters prefer. And, we're seeing just how good they both can be at it, ladies, because this is, again, slick stuff. It's all about angles and distance. Both fighters working to get to spots, create openings, then fill them with leather..."

Cassie: "And, it's not easy to create them, because you're seeing good, solid defense here."

O'Dell: "No doubt about that. Both ladies getting the hands out and back quickly, keeping that head moving, making themselves hard to find. But, finding is something both blondes are still able to do. Lots of accurate stuff flying in these flurries. Nobody hurt, but, like last round, both girls scoring."

McCarthy: "I can't believe Michalka's letting this tomato can hang around. Munn would have had her out of here ages ago!"

O'Dell: "Final thirty seconds of a two-way fifth round. This has been quite a fight to this point. Not a lot in it. And, there's not a lot in this round, either. Neither fighter able to create much space. Ten seconds to go. Nobody going to try the late run this time. Five seconds. And, there's the bell. Close again. Aly."

Tess: "And, we are dead even at 48 at the half."

ROUND SIX:

O'Dell: "Second half underway at range. Both ladies working those left jabs, looking to set up right hands. Michalka a good combination there, backed up Rambin. Leven steps right back forward, gets back to work. Obviously, it's been a very even fight thus far, ladies, and, I'd imagine there are plenty of folks that are surprised by that..."

Cassie: "Well, if you've been paying attention to what Leven's been doing this last year and a half, you wouldn't be."

O'Dell: "Good point. This isn't the girl who was ranked in the 80s and sitting on the end of the Front Street bench. She's definitely taken several steps forward since then. Still, it's a few more steps to the level of Alyson Michalka, and she may well be taking those as we speak, because, again, she's right there with the former champ."

Tess: "And, showing no signs of falling out of this thing, either."

O'Dell: "She is not. Final minute of round six and Michalka another solid combination. Backs Rambin up again. Aly stepping forward, another flurry. Again backing Leven up. She's got the Front Streeter on the back foot and she's keeping her there. Michalka in rhythm now, preempting Rambin, got her on the defensive. Alyson taking control of this thing late, and it's going to pay off. There's the bell, and Michalka wins it in the last minute."

McCarthy: "Only a matter of time. Cream's going to rise to the top. 58-57, Michalka."

ROUND SEVEN:

O'Dell: "Seventh begins with Michalka looking to build on that last minute. She's working forward and again being stopped in her tracks! Leven holding ground, firing back, and now BACKING UP MICHALKA! Rambin a BIG combination and she's grabbed the offensive and forced Aly onto her back foot..."

Tess: "Impressed yet, Mac?"

McCarthy: "Munn would be out of the shower by now..."

O'Dell: "Michalka now thrown to the counter, as Rambin's doing the preempting. Aly can't get off. Leven's throwing punches in bunches, really getting her offense going. Former champ giving a little ground here and there, keeping the guard up. She's not hurt, but, all of a sudden, the initiative has changed in a major way..."

Cassie: "Aly's fine. Just needs to get back on her front foot."

O'Dell: "But Rambin not having any of that. She's grabbed control of this round, and she's not about to give it up. Down the stretch and Leven continuing with a high, preemptive work rate, landing solid shot, keeping Michalka at bay. Ten seconds to go. One more barrage from Leven's cannons, and there's the bell. Rambin. Wide."

Tess: "And, we're even at 67."

ROUND EIGHT:

O'Dell: "Eight round underway. Rambin back to the offensive, and now it's Michalka who's firing back hard, stabilizing that front, getting back some of the lost initiative of last round. She's back on the front foot, as Cassie said, and we're back to good, two-way boxing at range..."

Cassie: "No doubt in my mind that would happen. You aren't going to keep Aly moving backward for long. She's as strong and hits as hard as any bantam in the FCBA."

O'Dell: "Rambin another nice flurry and Michalka answers and IT'S ON AGAIN! Ladies letting the hands go in a big way now, looking to grab control of a dead-even fight before it's too late. BIG right hand from Leven and DOWN GOES RAMBIN! Leven landed a blistering right and Michalka caught her with a BOOMING counter and Leven blown to her back!"

McCarthy: "Told you. A matter of time."

O'Dell: "Aly to a neutral corner. Count at three. Four. Five. Rambin rolls to her belly. Six. Seven. Leven pushing to her hands and knees now. Eight. Can she make it? Nine. TEN! She CAN'T! Rambin can't beat the count and it's OVER! And your winner by KO8 is Alyson Michalka!"

Tess: "Heck of a fight. Heck of a fight."

AFTER:

O'Dell: "Let's go up to the ring and Tess Valmore!"

Tess: "I have our winner, Alyson Michalka, and, Aly, what a fight that was..."

Alyson: "I've been in against the best, Tess. Wilde. Munn. Lilly. Mitchell. Fishel. McAdams. Laura V. Troi. Danes. You name them. This girl can be in that league. She fights like she fought tonight, she's in that league."

Tess: "But, you came up big late."

Alyson (nodding): "She was really putting the pedal down in the seventh. Couldn't let that continue, or she was going to grab the fight. I had to put my foot in the ground, and, when I did, I got her. Because, I'M in that league. Every night. Every single night."
