TESS VALMORE
MENDES/LEVY Mendes managed to take the opening round. The rest of the fight was all Levy. Until round six that is. Levy had won rounds two through five and had a big lead. Levy was on her way to winning round six, when suddenly Mendes staggered her with a right hook and then followed up with a straight right and down went Levy. Levy managed to get to her feet by the eight count, but was unsteady and the referee stopped the fight giving Mendes a TKO win
RODRIGUEZ/KING Rodriguez won the first two rounds and was still ahead on the card at the end of five. That lead finally disappeared in the sixth as King took the round to even up the bout. The bout didn’t go much further as King landed a a big right hook in the seventh and Rodriguez was done. A KO victim
MACK/L. MORGAN Morgan was 0-3 going into this fight and hadn’t lasted six in her three previous fights. Well, let’s now make that four. While she had fought Mack evenly for the first four rounds, fifth was her downfall. Mack caught her with a hard right and Morgan was counted out before the end of the sixth round for the fourth time in four fights
SKARSTEN/ARTERTON I wonder why Skarsten accepted this fight. On paper, she had little chance of winning this fight. Of course fights aren’t won on paper. They are won in the ring as Skarsten was reminded in the third round when Arterton turned her lights off with a booming right hand. Skarsten didn’t move as she was counted out
KANE/MEESTER Going into this bout Kane’s FCBA career was pretty dismal. She had lost eight straight. After the fight was over, the only thing that had changed was an another loss added to the string. Kane did have a high point when she floored Meester in the third. From there, it was downhill with Meester ending the bout with a straight right that send Kane down for the count
MICHALKA/RAMBIN When this fight was scheduled I thought it was a fight that Rambin, at this stage of her career, was not prepared for. I didn’t expect Michalka to have a lot of trouble. To my surprise, Rambin fought Michalka to a standstill through seven. Rambin’s good showing came to an end in the eighth when a Michalka counter punch landed on the button and Rambin was down for the count
